Hi I'm Zim and I'm glad to be here today in this short space. As mentioned already somewhere by someone, I'm on exam season and I don't really have the time to come to the forums all days nor at all times. Thus, when I read we were planning on announcing this one, I got this 5 minute break to announce graterras' very own eeveelution, Haunteon! Now now, I know what you're thinking: "But Zim, why is eevee even in Graterras?" well, while my personal answer for you would be "don't look so deep into it god dammit", little eevee's presence in the region is actually related to the game's plot. A fun fact that might or might not be related to this, is that every single gym leader or E4 member of Graterras that uses a type with an eeveelution belonging to that type, well, uses said eeveelution on their team! Going back to the star of the announcement, the haunted shadow pokémon, Haunteon, is made of ectoplasm, meaning it isn't precisely solid. Its long ears can extend great distances by merging into the shadows of things, and the pokemon itself can become a shadow at will. As you might have already figured out after getting your ass beaten at defeating Mary's gym, this is yours truly's own impression of what eevee's ghost final form could be like, and is built as a fast and quite dangerous mixed attacker. Being based on a canon pokemon with an entire family of evolutions devoted to it, y'all pretty much are experts on how eeveelutions work by now: they get an ability (infiltrator, in haunteon's case), a hidden ability, evolve by a particular method related to their type, and have specific stat numbers distributed in a unique way for each one of them. Which brings me to my following challenge for y'all: try to guess Haunteon's stat distribution!

In Kalos you're at least given a chance to change clothes as you please. I guess is just the rest of regions that do not mind wearing the same clothes for as long as one lives.

So, it's been a while since the last time we announced a pokémon, and given we're all in the middle of exam season amirite? we thought this was the best time to put up another mon as the rest of the week is pretty busy. So this time I bring you something that Gamefreak has denied me for the longest time, a dolphin pokémon: This is Calfin. It's a dolphin. A psychic dolphin, to be precise. This WATER/PSYCHIC mammal is my response to Nintendo's never explained lack of a canon dolphin pokémon (and no, don't bring gorebyss up pls). Although we had to wait 6 generations for an actual lion pokémon, so yeah, who knows... Anyways, Calfin has the abilities swift swim and inner focus. The first allows it to work as a rain sweeper, and the second, well, allows it not to flinch. One way or another, this is a very reliable candidate for the water and/or psychic slot of a team, as both are very good STABs to have. Also, dolphins are known to be like, super intelligent and stuff, so you might want to keep one around. And nickname it Flipper.

We're getting close to the point where every single "Favorite X" kind of thread has been made. In this case, I'm having a 10 minute break from genetics, and so I bring one I haven't seen yet: favorite pokédex entry. You know some mons' scary-factor is boosted by 9000 only because of their dex entries. Other are plain awesome. Other are so "what the fuck" that you can't help but love them. So, yeah, what's your fav dex entry and why? Mine's spoink's, a classical one. Just listen to this shit: B2/W2: "Using its tail like a spring, it keeps its heart beating by bouncing constantly. If it stops, it dies." The implications it brings to the table about spoink's physiology and everyday life are amazing and....scary.

I'm copypasting from Ice Cream's beacause otherwise I would not remember from the top of my head, and having this list is nice. Way to go Sand Witch! Nidos: both. Offensive or defensive, I actually like both pretty much. Never really use any of them tho. Pinsir/Heracross: Heracross. That guts is just too good to pass on. And I like skill link more than aerilate if we go into megas. Tauros/Miltank: Miltank. Fatty ass pink cow that pulled the entire weight of my RU team back in the day (dunno which tier this thing is in now). Even in-game, milk drink, body slam, attract, rollout.... it just destroys stuff. Lunatone/Solrock: Both, like the nidos. I like the whole sun and moon theme, and I could not choose one without the other. I always need to catch both and call one aster and the other eclipse xD Lotad/Seedot: Lotad (ludicolo amirite?), better typing for defensive purposes, and quite an interesting combo, at that. Plus the ice beam coverage and the better bulk. Sableye/Mawile: I can't choose between them. I just can't. Regular sableye and regular mawile are two of my fav mons of gen 3, and while I don't really like where they went with mega sableye, mega mawile is among my fav megas, so I suppose I preffer it. Volbeat/Illumise: Illumise, since it won me a random battle where it was standing with a mega audino against 5 mons of the opposing team. The guy had keldeo and darkrai, and I got no legendaries whatsoever, so he proceeded to destroy everything except for this bulky ass mega audino that single-handedly killed 4 of his mons and when this darkrai comes out and I get illumise out in the nasty plot, prankster encore and bug buzz won me the game. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably say volbeat since it gets tail glow, but illumise has a spot on my heart now. Zangoose/Seviper: Zangoose. Toxic boost facade just clears the battlefield from anything non-ghost. Latias/Latios: Latias. The stat difference between the siblings are small, but I do like latias more bulky/defensive oriented set than that of latios. Mega latias can hit hard AND it takes hits better than mega latios, and it is a great levitate-defog helper. Mew/Mewtwo: Mewtwo. The.Power. Lugia/Ho-Oh: Lugia. Ho-Oh is one of my least fav legendaries, not stat wise, only design wise. Lugia isn't too much of my liking but, being bulkier and having a design I like more, then I choose it. Manaphy/Phione: Manaphy. I mean what can phione do that manaphy can't? tail glow wins games sometimes. Cresselia/Darkrai: Cresselia. Again, love bulky mons, and feminine ones, and cresselia is both. Annoying as fuck to battle against, maybe, but has a place in my heart. I kinda like darkrai with all his nasty plot/dark void/bad dreams shenanigans but still.... Ninjask/Shedinja: Shedinja. Ninjask is great baton pass action but shedinja once the threats have been cleared and hazards are not in the way, you just can't do nothing about it. A shame that it no longer learns the same moves as ninjask tho. Butterfree/Beedrill: Butterfree is annoying as fuck with perfect accuracy spore, but.......it is better in game, not gonna lie. Mega beedrill tho.... Gothitelle/Reuniclus: Reuniclus. Cell rabbit baby with magic guard? hell yeah! Gyarados/Milotic: Milotic if it is on looks, gyarados if it is on use. I have never used milotic, but intimidate bulky gyarados has been on some of my teams and that thing is good. Unown: WXYZ. Dunno I always catch those 4 ones. Meowstic: female. It hits harder, and it's prettier IMO. Added: Plusle/Minum: plusle. Dunno I like red better. Heatmor/Durant: durant I find more interesting, yet both are good on their own. Gengar/Clefable: hard to choose, but Clefable in the end. It's just better for the way I use it, plus magic guard. Gengar got that uber mega tho.... Xerneas/Yveltal: hard one since I like both......geomancy xerneas I hate when fighting against, while yveltal I also hate when fighting against. They're bulky and can recover from damage, and are strong. Well, they're legendaries after all. Vileplume/Weepinbell: vileplume. It's the better one IMO, despite not leech seed for some reason.... Reshiram/zekrom: both are kinda over-designed IMO, and among the ugliest legendaries but.... reshiram. White dragon of fire just strikes me better. Alakazam/Machamp: alakazam. It is better in general I think.

I googled it up to see what kind of rock formation a carbuncle was. Don't do it like that people. I'll leave it at this: if you google carbuncle, it apparently is what in my language is known as antrax. And it's gross. If you want to know the ACTUAL carbuncle the dessert witch is talking about, you need to google either carbink>bulbapedia entry>origin>carbuncle or directly look for "carbuncle gemstone" or "carbuncle mythology". It basically is a legendary creature who is said to have gems growing on it. So yeah, basically a diamond with ears
