when someone tells you to be nice to someone you hate. now I may be an idiot here, but I think a part of hating somone is having an inability to be nice to them
You can definitely be nice to people you hate. It's also the best thing you can possibly do if the feeling is mutual. Being nice to someone, even if it's for self-serving reasons, is generally much more beneficial than being mean
guess I'm an idiot then. cuz when I don't like you, I won't act like I do and I won't be nice to you. maybe it's part of dutchmen being blunt people or maybe it's just me wanting to stay as sincere as I can, but if I dislike you, don;t expect me to just act like that's not the case
If someone important to me asked me for their sake to swallow my pride and just act nice to someone I despised I would do it in a heartbeat but otherwise, go wild I guess
