sometimes giving a little bit a role play to games (like XCOM, in this case) can make the game a little better for you, in my case this happened:

a few days ago I send a squad to take down a UFO.

2/4 of that squad died, only two of them made it out alive.

I decided that since then they'd become best friends and great allies, and if they would make it out of the war alive even get married (you know, the usual).

the lady of the duo (Ice Queen the sniper) just got shot by a heavy floater and killed on impact.

The man (Windchild the Assault) is pissed of and will not let any heavy floater get out of his sight alive.
