let me see if I understand this:
the first 3 star wars movies were "godlike"
the prequels were shit and now the new ones are not exactly held in high regard either.
so if the majority of the Star Wars movies are bad, can you still consider the franchise itself good?

Well, the problem with that is there's just so much sheer content in all of the side stuff. ((like SO MUCH.)) l know a lot of big Star Wars fans that love that stuff and tend to claim a lot of the novels are a lot more solid than any of the film stuff.
Further, the original trilogy was incredibly groundbreaking for it time as well. Sci-fi/Science Fiction films flat out did not exist prior and it straight up created a genre known as Space Operas. Gorundbreaking has literally nothing to do with how good something is... so l really don't get the above statement. ((espically cause just if you don't like it that doesn't make the film any less of an influence on the genre as it has been. Not liking it's totally cool. Denying the fact it's influenced the genre as we know it and was one of the pioneers of film for it... is just foolhardy.))
