  1. Skyrim Character Backstory: Lyn

    Spoiler

*happy humming* Hmm? Who are you? How did you sneak up on me? Who do your work for? Huh? You just want to ask me a few things? *looks around* Alright, but no funny buisnes, got it? Well, what do you want to know? Who I am and how I got here, simple enough. Name's Lyn. Bosmer Archer. Well, half Bosmer. See, My father was a Wood Elf. And my mother an Orc. I grew up with the tribe of my Mother, Father used to visit from time to time but that stopped when I was about 5 or 6 years old. Life with the tribe was a good life. The other kids used to make fun of me a bit for not being a full Orc, but that grew out of most of them before too long. One kid didn't grow out of it untill I saved his life though... *She smiles* Fun story. He always told me I could never be a true Hunter for the tribe, as I wasnt strong enough. He wasn't completely wrong, I was not as strong as the others. But I was quick, crafty, and good with a bow. This allowed be to become a tribe hunter at the age of 16, I think about 15 years ago tomorrow, actually.  Or at least I think... Ah, somewhere this week. Anyway, I was the youngest hunter the tribe has had, two years younger than the normal age of allowance. I got there by killing a bear that was attacking the camp while the hunters were out hunting. When hunting, I didn't do things like the other hunters. I usually sat in the trees and provided arrow support when required. I did the same with the Training for warriors and hunters. Most felt save knowing they had someone looking out for them. But that one boy didn't. One day he decided he should try to kill a bear himself, the divine couldn't know what was going on with him when he thought that. Anyway, when we noticed he was gone all hunters were instructed on finding him. I found him, alive but injured, and chased by a bear. I shot an arrow at the beast, but couldn't get it's attention before it swung as Kay-Lar (the boy). He was hit on the arm and flung againt a tree. I managed to shoot the bear in it's eyes before it could deal another blow, after that I jumped onto the bear and stabbed it's heart with my old dagger. When we returned he was scolded by the tribe leaders, and later by his parents. I didn't get off without a hitch myself. see this scar under my left eye? that's where I got it from. Anyway, Kay-Lar never called me a dumb half-ling ever again. Mother was proud of me, but scolded me for trying to take on a bear alone like that. Can't fault her for that. Two years passed, and the tribe was attacked. See, a couple of "Heroes" saw me, a Wood Elven Girl with a scar under her eye, in an Orcish camp. Instead of doing the sencible thing and ask if I was okay, they decided I needed help and started attacking the camp. The tribe faught back, trying to explain that I was part of the tribe. but those stubborn idiots didn't listen to a word anyone said. They... killed them all. Mother was the last to go. They say few things are as scary as an Orc with an Axe. Well, Mom is the scariest when wielding an Axe. or... was. *a tear rolls across her cheeck, right through the Scar* After those idiots were done "saving me" they decided they required a reward. I plainly told them to march to Oblivion for killing my friends and family. They didn't understand, or didn't want to understand, and pushed me to give them a reward. When I told them no... they decided to just take their reward. I won;t go into detail about it... all I'll say is that I was no longer pure after that day... *more tears roll over her face* But I got back at them. I tracked them, and killed them. Most of them with an arrow to the throat, but their leader deserved something special. So I tied him up, cut of his, you know, and squashed his heart. Maybe I went a bit too far, but they took advantage of me after they killed my people. After that day I traveled with a Kajiit Caravan for a while. 5 years I think. Cities didn't trust them, but they would trust me. In exchange for me trying to sell some things in the city they would train me a bit in the stealthy arts. While they weren't thieves, they had the skills to be if they wanted. They were lated put in jail for the dealing of Skooma. I managed to escape, but only barely. a couple of years later and I reach Skyrim. I made a living, if you can even call it that, by hunting and selling my game. ocasionally I would do some Bounty Hunting, if I was desperate enough. I lived like that in The Rift for I think 7 to 9 or so years. One day, when I went to Riften to sell some of my Game, a man named Brynjolf walked up to me. He has a two man job to do but lacked a man. He offered me a decent amount of septims for it, so I took the chance. All went well with the Job and he asked me to the Ragged Flagon. A few days later and I'm a full member of the Thieves Guild. while some only care about how much money I make them, a couple of people there, like Sapphire and Rune, really cared for me. Patching me up when things went wrong, offering a shoulder to cry on about my past and allowing me to be happy again. *she smiles* While in Riften I also managed to track down and shut down a Skooma dealer, which lead to the Jarl dubbing me Thane of the Rift. I now have the turst of the Jarl and a home in Riften. Quite useful for a little Thief, don't you think? *she winks* Anywho, I've been here for a bit too long, I have a job to do. A high client wishes to see me, so I shouldn't keep her waiting.
