here's my take on the SwSh Mantatory EXPsharing.
This will help the balancing if you ask me. "But how will it if that makes it easier?" I can hear some people typing. Simple: now they don;t need to balance it toward not using it like they did in Gen 6 and 7, thus hopefully not making it broken. Because with it optional the devs need to think "Do we balance it with it used or it not used in mind?", leading to the most likely case of it being balanced around not using it (because otherwise you're punished for not using it with a lot more grinding which would also make the same people bitch).
You can disagree with how I feel about this, but please do refrain from insulting.

i personally dont care at all about the balance in the core series, as it generally does not exist. i doubt that will be different this time around.
also im fairly sure theyve always tried balancing it around exp all as it sorta became their "default" option in gen VI and VII. unfortunately not using it tended to underlevel you while using it overleveled you in all of kalos. it also overleveled in the earlygame of alola but overall the level curve followed the exp all very well, making it fairly obvious that the games level curve was based on the idea of using exp all.
in either case i hope gamefreak follows your logic, but im not very hopeful.
