I said it multiple times and I will again: Skyward Sword doesn't do everything right. But I dare you to tell me a Zelda game that does what Skyward Sword does well, but better. because frankly, I can;t think of one. A majority of the bosses are amazing, the controls feel imersive (when they work and you get off of the couch), the dungeons are incredible, the story is incredible, Fi (while annoying gameplay wise) is a great character, Ghirahim, Groose. It's just, Yes. Plus, who hasn;t dreamed of being both Indiana Jones AND Spiderman at the same time. Wait, that was just me? Oh... Okay...

Oh I definitely agree about it being overhated. Though I actually think the hate is in the minority as I've met quite a number of people who've played and really enjoyed it. Of the 3d Zeldas though Twilight Princess is my least favorite despite ironically having a ton of my favorite things and mechanics in it. By the way, I was a huge fan of the series when I was younger if you couldnt tell. Pretty much that and paper mario was my childhood.

my sister logic: Hmm... i gotta go to school, but my earbuds are upstairs. I know! I'll just take my brothers earbuds without asking! He won't miss them. And if he confronts me about it I'll just say "I couldn;t find my own and mom said it was okay."
My logic: use your fucking own earbuds...

Why do I love Fi? Because Fi, out of all the guidance characters in Zelda, is actually made to know all that stuff. Navi and Tatl are just fairies, how would they know what a certain Dungeon Boss does? Midna may be the Princess of the Twili, but she's definitly not the kinda of person who would know everything about your foes. The Owl? That Owl can go fly into Death Mountains Crater for all I care. Fi is made by the Goddess to know everything about everything. I won't say Fi is not annyoting from time to time, but at least she is actually a good character to back it up (Yeah, I said it. toss them Pitchforks at me for liking Fi over most other Companions, still like Midna better, cuz Midna). And think of it this way, Midna went back to her own world and closed the only portal, but I dount Twili are immortal and thus she'll eventually die, Navi probably died in the Lost Woods, like Tatl did somewhere in Termina with Skull Kid and Teal. Fi never really dies. She's just sitting there in the Master Sword, waiting for a new master to pick her up, but never able to emerge again. Just being alone untill the Master Sword is destroyed and she is killed. Just let that Sink in. Fi will remain in the Master Sword untill it breaks and she dies, just remembering her days with the Original Hero from the Sky. Now that's just sad

Colress and N are so far the best "Antagonists"/Antihero's Pokémon has seen. Change my mind

Step 1: Make Linkle cannon.
Step 2: Let her star in the next Zelda game.
Step 3: Link Echo Fighter in Linkle.

Yeah. tbh I just wanna see Linkle be the star in a Zelda game. Like, her entire story in Hyrule Warriors is about her trying to be the Hero of Legend yet just arriving a little late each time. If she were to really be the star she could, potentially, even fight a bit differently to Link. Instead of the Master Sword, she could wield a Rapier? instead of a regular bow, she would, obviously, have a Crossbow. Maybe she could be a bit more agile yet a little less in damage dealing/tanking? idk. I just wanna see the Lady Hero of Legend have the spotlight she deserves.
Eiji Aonuma stated that due to her popularity, he is going to keep in mind the possibility of including her in a future Zelda game.
And if the Wikia is to be believed, she might
-
If that does wind up becoming a reality in the main games, I kinda wonder if they'd go about keeping her differentiated from Link in terms of what items they can use. Like, the Rods and Hero's Bow make sense as shared items, but I can't really see Linkle using the Ball and Chain, given that she's even weedier looking thank Link is (and even TP Link had some trouble wielding it). Then again, the series is kinda in a bit of a nebulous state at the moment in general, seeing as Calamaty Ganon seems to have broken his part of the cycle for one of the timelines...
In any case, i feel like unless the Smash team decides to use her to tease the next Zelda game, we won't be seeing Linkile crop up until she makes a canon appearance- she isn't the only viable candidate for a new Zelda rep, after all. She was officially added to Warriors after the Smash Ballot, after all, so I doubt she got a whole lot of votes there despite having already been popular among the Warriors crowd...
-
True, and even if she doesn't reach smash levels, just having the Heroine of legend star in a game would be dope. Or, you know, add Linkle DLC to BotW, make it so Link is actually Linkle there, granted that would require those cutscenes to be redone.... scrap that idea. And yeah, even though TP Link is physically the strongest Link (and maybe even the strongest in general, not counting the Fierce Deity Mask that is) so the Ball And Chain would not really be an item for her. Even story-wise Linkle could be great, she could be a Cuccoo farmer whose father was good friends with the King, leading her to be friends with Zelda and giving her quest more personal meaning (Like Skyward Sword did. And I know this could also work for Link, but Linkle...)

So, I actually played with all YGO Summoning Mechanics, exept for Pendies. just never found a pendulum deck that seemed fun to me. Anyone got suggestions (that can still work in a casual setting)

Ugh... Konami really made a fatal mistake with the Yusei Mega Tin. He doesn;t have his Marker

so after that status where I "downtalk" the most beloved Zelda game, here's a question that might aswell bannish me from the Zelda Fandom completely: Would you consider Hyrule Warriors a true Zelda game?
-
so, what I'm gonna say will probably completely net me out of the Zelda Fandom, but OoC is the worst 3d Zelda I've played thus far, and I doubt Wind Waker and BotW can take that title away from it. Now, don't get me wrong, OoC is a really good game. But comparing it to Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess and even Skyward Sword, it has a lot of things that it simply does worse. A few examples: Hyrule Field. going through it on Epona is cool, but as Child Link you don't have acces to Epona, do you? Nope. So you have to go from Kokiri forrest all the way to Hyrule Castle, then to Death Mountain, Then back to Kokiri Forrest, Back to Death Mountain, To Zora's Domain, and pick up Epona's song in between. And that takes WAY to f*cking long. Majora's Mask fixed this with the Owl Statues (which don't just teleport you to temples as Adult Link), Skyward Sword's flying in the Sky is a lot faster and Once you get Epona in Twilight Princess, you can pretty much always use her. Now for the second thing: Aiming. Some may consider this good game design, but not having an Aiming Reticule is terrible. not sure how MM handled it on the n64, but on the 3ds remake it adds a little reticule for Aiming. Same with Twilight Princess and, again, Skyward Sword. And last, and definitly least, the Water Temple. Haven't gotten to Great Bay Temple yet, but I'm almost 100% sure it's Water Dungeon can;t be that bad. the Lakebed Temple may be the only Dungeon I dislike in Twilight Princess, but it's still much better than how OoC handled it. And the Ancient Cistern, one of them is arguably the best Dungeon in the game, and the other is the worst of all 3d Zelda's.
Again, I don;t hate OoC, and if it's you favorite Zelda then I have no quarel with you. I'm just sharing my view on the game and, at the moment, it's greatest flaws (haven;t even mentioned Navii and the damn Owl yet)

I actually can't seem to find out how to get to the Lost Woods from Goron City, so the issue arises (not the games fault, but it did leave me having to make the track). I never played the N64 version to the boots thing wasn't an issue, but I can completely believe that would make the Water Temple worse. And my issue with the aiming is simply that it can feel a bit wonky to me. I'm extremely used to having at least a slight Aiming Reticule, and OoT doesn't have one of those. You gotta use the tip of your arrow to aim, I guess this is to make it a bit more Immersive, but there is a reason that all other 3D Zelda's decided to use one after a certain point (wasting Arrows because you're just a few MM off due to sloppy aiming isn't fun)
-
One of the tunnels in Goron City has the Lost Wood BGM playing it and a Goron who says they enjoy that standing in front of it. I don't remember if it's blocked with rocks or not, but if it is then you can clear them out by setting the bomb flowers off with a burning Deku Stick.
I wouldn't call the aiming an issue with the game since it works perfectly fine. It just requires getting a feel for it.
-
yeah, I never figured out how to blow up those bomb flowers so that's why (as I said, I'm stupid). And the aiming is what you prefer honestly, I simply dislike it because not knowing what path the arrow will follow until it lands is kinda un-fun for me (and why they didn't at least put the option for an Aiming reticule on the 3ds version is just... not understandable...)
