  1. I personally think Ciel's team needs a boost. She was the second gym leader (first being Terra) who I beat on the first go - and was quite disappointed as I thought she would be more of a challenge, being the last leader to face of the Agate Triumvirate. Maybe my team was very advantageous towards her. I guess a Walrein could help to an extent? Spheals and Sealeos are found in Ametrine Cave, and it's naturally bulky so it should be quite helpful against most of Ciel's Pokemon.
  2. I don't think there are any Megas which I don't like. I especially love Mega Glaceon, Mega Altaria, Mega Gardevoir and Mega Glalie
  3. I'm pretty sure Frost Breath is found on the bottom floor of Angie's lair (forgot the name of it sorry).
  4. I'm guessing that you're not far enough with the story. You can only enter 7th Street when you have earned your eighth badge.
  5. So he killed his own wife (albeit by accident)?
  6. Congrats Simon and Dark Desire!
  7. There was a thread about favorite and least favorite gym leaders, so why not do the same for Elite Four members? Gen 1 -Favorite: Lorelei. Ice is my favorite type, so its pretty natural that I like a lot of Ice-type experts too (apart from a certain someone who tried to push his brother off a cliff). I loved the post-game story in FRLG involving her, and she was awesome in the manga too. -Least Fav: Bruno. His battle was just too easy. They could've given him a Primeape or a Poliwrath (did they save them for Chuck in the next gen?) but nope they had to give him 2 Onixs. Gen 2 -Favorite: Karen. Who doesn't love Karen? Personally, I think her end-of-battle speech is one of the golden quotes in the history of Pokemon. Her speedy Houndoom also gave me a lot of trouble when I was playing Silver - so she is very memorable to me. -Least Fav: Will. I never really liked his design. I was positive that he was a woman when I saw his sprite in GSC - so I was naturally surprised to find out that he was a man all along (I don't have anything against androgyny but his design was just meh). And Xatu was my least favorite Pokemon back then (until Mystery Dungeon came along), so having 2 of those in his party surely didn't help raise my affection level towards him. Gen 3 -Favorite: Glacia. Well... maybe I'm being biased again with her being a Ice-type trainer, but it was thanks to her, that I saw the Pokemon 'Sealeo' for the first time, and I couldn't help but gape at the cute fat seal on my GBA screen. I actually felt pretty bad for fainting it because it looked really adorable to my eyes. -Least Fav: Phoebe. DUSCLOPS urgh. Gen 4 -Favorite: Flint. This was hard to choose as none of the Sinnoh Elite Four were really likable/memorable. At least Flint did have some screen-time outside of the Pokemon League, and the double battle against him and Volkner post-game was pretty difficult iirc. -Least Fav: The rest. I seriously don't remember the rest of them at all. Gen 5 -Favorite: Grimsley. It was tough deciding between Grimsley and Caitlin - but I think I like Grimsley's design a tad bit more. -Least Fav: Shauntal. Solely because of Cofagrigus and Jellicent. I hated battling those two. Gen 6 (Haven't Played)
  8. Crescent is such a mysterious character... and I would really like to know what her true intentions are. As for Madame X... who the hell is she? It's probably someone who we've already met before, but I haven't got the faintest idea who it may be.
  9. I'm pretty sure in the Manga, he gets referred to as 'Augustus' by the old lady who lives in Two Island.

    Easiest Gym?

If Shelly's Illumise goes for Rain Dance for once, the fight would be much harder imo.
  11. Week 9 Amethyst/Emerald Division Xiri (Jiniri) vs Dobby (5-0) http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-265384281
  12. There was speculation like this before - where it was discussed that the Elite Four members were connected to the four keys. But yeah, clever thinking

    Easiest Gym?

Radomus. Nasty Plot Houndoom = Easy Mode!

Aurorus is a fantastic design of a Pokemon... But it suffers big time from GF's mistreatment of the Ice type. It's so unfair...

    "Rare Candy"

Have you found Bennett and talked to him in 7th street? The crate should be out of the way if you did that. To find him, basically talk to everyone in 7th street and enter the house which has the healing machine.

The Shady vs Nappy battle was uploaded recently - and it was a pretty good match. But did Nappy HAVE to rant about how a crit made him lose the battle at the end? What do you guys think?
  17. I hope we get a chance to team-up with all the leaders at some point (probably not likely but one can dream right?)
  18. My answer is really obvious
  19. I've been a Running Man fan since the launch of the show. I never imagined it to be a topic on Reborn to be honest xD
  20. If you refer to the dialogue in Ametrine, Heather is in the Elite Four. In fact, she is probably the only one that is confirmed (apart from Laura if you count her). I think once Team Meteor is defeated for good, Laura will gain her position back - and Bennett may be offered El's position (or he could also be arrested for supporting them, I dunno). Arclight sounds like a suitable candidate too.
  21. Well... I'll try to give you help via memory so don't trust my judgments too much. Sewaddle is available very early - even before Gym 1. Eevee should be the next available Pokemon - in the city which hosts the third gym. Next, Gothita. Available before Gym 4. Unfortunately, Hydreigon will be available very late in the game. In fact, it can only be caught in Victory Road (as Zweillous). As for a physical tank that is able to learn a Fighting type move, Scrafty, Heracross, Aggron, Eelektross, Seismitoad, Metagross, Golurk comes into mind.
  22. We actually can't get it in Reborn either. Gyarados is just too OP I didn't want to make a separate thread for this, so I'll just ask here. Can someone help me complete the list below in terms of Leaders and their TMs? Venam - Poison Sweep Keta - Stacking Shot Marianette - Facade(?) Narcissa - Shadow Ball Valerie - ??? Crawli - X-Scissor Angie - Frost Breath(?) Amber - Overheat
  23. I shall do a couple more because I'm bored haha Tangrowth (A Rank) Obtainable: Before Gym 2 or 3 (can't remember exactly...) (Shadow) Abilities: Always go for Regenerator unless you're running a Sun team... but I still think Regenerator would e better Moves: Giga Drain, Knock Off, Wild Charge, Ancient Power, Sleep Powder, Power Whip, Sludge Bomb , Leech Seed (breed) Useful For: Boss Battles, Marianette, Valerie Summary: Tangrowth is a pretty useful Pokemon to have. Its base 125 Defense is nothing to be scoffed at, and with access to a range of decent physical and special offensive moves such as Knock Off, Wild Charge (surprise surprise), Power Whip, Ancient Power - it hits pretty hard too. It is also capable of learning recovery moves such as Giga Drain and Leech Seed - and its ability allows easy HP recovery upon switching out. The downside of Tangrowth is its abysmal special defense and speed - so don't be surprised if it gets OHKOed by a special fire or bug move. Hence, it is pretty helpless against Angie and Amber. It does help against Valerie to some extent (I would recommend giving it Quick Claw) but watch out for those Ice Beams. Magneton (A Rank) Obtainable: Before Gym 6 Abilities: Sturdy and Analytic are both decent. Moves: Charge Beam, Discharge, Flash Cannon, Metal Sound, Thunder Wave Useful For: Boss Battles, Angie Summary: Although Magneton doesn't have access to a wide movepool, STAB Flash Cannon/Discharge will be quite painful. If the opponent gets hit by Metal Sound before that, it will hit harder. Thunder Wave is always useful to have - as speed control is pretty important and Magneton is pretty slow itself.
  24. Well... there was a warning about using Fly when you beat the episode, so yeah I wouldn't use Fly until the next episode is released.
