The whole community is the Community test. Beta test is the former Ace members and some other people that may be added on a case by case basis, but for the most part its just the former Aces

I do not know what you guys are remembering, last time we wanted them to take like a week each and then they both ended up taking months because of the sheer amount of issues. Supervised testing is always short because it's only 1 or 2 people watching.

The last few percent of AI has stalled on account of my laptop breaking and there being many complications while I was trying to order a new one. After many trials and tribulations, however, I now have my new laptop, so I should be able to start finishing things off again today. As for testing, it will take as long as it needs for us to stop finding bugs, at the end of the day. The main reason E17 testing took so long was the AI rather than Gen VII, we had more or less completely rewritten all of the Essentials AI code from scratch so there were a lot of places with potential to go wrong (and indeed a lot of places where it did go wrong!). While the scope of the AI updates for this episode weren't quite as grand because we had the framework already put in last episode and where building on and completing that, there still was quite a large amount of new additions, so time will tell how long testing will take.

Today, Ame made a puzzle. She wasn't sure if it was solvable. Being the maths nerd that I am, she asked if I would help figure out if and how it could be solved. I couldn't figure it out, so I wrote a program to do it instead. It took the program 3 minutes and 5 million 'moves' to solve the puzzle. We decided to put the puzzle in game. I hope you're all looking forward to E18.

There will only be one gym battle this episode, although whether it's Hardy or Sapphira you'll have to wait and see. There will be 19 episodes total, which means only one more after this next one!

There are many sidequests and hidden areas to explore in the desert, some with rare items and pokemon.

I was similar, except I started with 3, then went back to 1 & 2, and played 4 and 5 as they came out. Such a great series, I look forward to getting a Switch as an excuse to replay 5!

All non-legend and such pokemon WILL be available before the Elite Four, but I can't confirm whether or not that means some of them could still be locked away in E19 or not. Hopefully AI updates will be finalized for E18, yes, but of course we'll have to see how well our updates fare through testing to see if any more work is needed for E19.

Yo there has been a rash of unavailable mons put onto wondertrade. They're all gone now, I want to reiterate that it's like the only rule of wondertrade and you have to actively try to subvert it, and it's super not cool if you break it. If y'all are gonna show you can't have nice things, we can just take the server offline, don't let it happen again.
For anybody that received one of the pokemon, they aren't harmful to your game, you won't be able to wondertrade them back, but if you wish to keep them it won't cause any problems, and if you don't want to keep them, just release.

Honestly, I'm not surprised by this as I've seen a few instances of this happening already and it's going to keep happening. I don't honestly care either way what happens to online since I don't really use it. I get why people like it as it's technically more genuine, but with the whole "OMG it's so cool to hack Pokemon in" stuff going around it's not like much besides online battling will be lost. Do what you gotta do to not make this stressful Marc.
@Wolfox If the server is taken down, that means all online functions will cease including battling and not just trading. Also, I doubt it's just one person doing it, but it does only take one to ruin something.

Unless you can somehow prevent unobtainable pokemon to enter the trade, you're not going to prevent shit. Game is free for everyone and not just forum users. No threat about the offline server is going to stop someone who is not even here to read it (who says he or she even cares?).
I'm sure you've got more sense than to 86 the feature you worked hard to create because of this minor thing. I'm glad you care enough to try something but dear me this leads nowhere. Perhaps you're just angry at this moment?
Who the hell wants unobtainables and legendaries anyway? Isn't that the whole point of this game, to play with the best thing you can get? Besides everything will be but in eventually anyway.
By the way having a trade system from the start of the game is also stupid as fuck but that's another matter and my personal opinion.

While this is true, X-Items are super cheap and as of Gen VII, are +2 boosts, which honestly make them really useful. I know a few people, myself included, that used them pretty extensively in E17. Before E17 it wasn't a big deal because they were only +1 stat boosts, but now that they are +2 they are indeed quite formidable.

Just look around the desert, there's always one in there, no need to wait!

Mirages will spawn indefinitely, it's fine. Just be sure to check the tower after every mirage in the desert, and maybe you'll find what you're looking for!

Ame's abroad for a while so, while there's still progress going on, not much updating the devblog at the moment. But we're still moving forward, don't worry, stay tuned! (And I just finished the semester so hopefully AI progress can start moving again!)

Oh! I completely forgot to add, a big thanks to @Waynolt for letting me adapt some of the scripts from their Egg Picking mod and repurpose them for this. We initially asked to use the scripts from the mod for a totally different purpose, but it turned out to be far more useful as a basis for this system!

I categorically did NOT make this topic purely for the terrible pun in the title. So, I've been slowly but surely fighting the AI to make it work, but this isn't about that. AI, of course, is not the only responsibility I have on Reborn. Sometimes it's important to pay attention to quality of life features. And Gen VII added a few of these which we have yet to catch up to. Well, E18 will come with one of my favourites of those features included: (Get it? BOXING with my responsibilities? Because you can send your pokemon to the box upon getting a new one? :]]]]) It should also be noted this doesn't just work with wild pokemon. You're given this same option with Event pokemon and, on top of that, even eggs! (And yes, that also means if you so wish, you can either add eggs straight to your party, or send them to the pc, no trips back to a pokemon centre necesarry anymore!) Well, that's been this small update, and so I have to go slink back into my AI hole, I hope you're all excited for E18. But seriously, I have no regrets about the pun.
