  1. That feel when your lv. 55 Hawlucha OHKOs Sampson's lv. 73 Conkeldurr. That feel when one of your favorite shows gets another season. That feel when someone gets your hopes up, shatters them, and then says they were kidding. That feel when your arm goes numb. Wait, that's not a feeling. That feel when you wake up 30 minutes before your alarm goes off. That feel when you wake up 3 hours before your alarm goes off. That feel when you wake up 1 minute before your alarm goes off. That feel when you feel well rested.
  2. If they ever do a mega evolution of Shedinja, its ability should be Sturdy. Nothing else needs to change.

  3. If we're talking early game, Kriketot/Kriketune is a total beast. Fury Cutter saved me so many times. Once you get it to one-shot mode, it's game over for whoever you're facing. Whismur/Loudred/Exploud is great, too. Mid-Game, a Houndoom is glorious, as is a Graveler/Golem. Sturdy Graveler with Rock Blast decimated Shelly's Yanmega, and Rock Blast Golem decimated Shade's Chandelure. If you do run Houndoom, make sure it learns Flamethrower before it evolves so you can cream Serra. Late-Game, we've got just about whatever you want. Clefable, Chandelure, and whatever else you want. As far as I know, your starter should be pretty good at at least a few points in the game. Don't ever underestimate the starter. But honestly, you want to know what saved me? Cotton Candy. The stuff is glorious. As long as I had around 3-6 in my inventory, I was more or less able to overcome every challenge thrown my way. And if you take the time to go back to the Pokemon center in Opal after EVERY trainer battle and avoid using potions whenever possible, you can save quite a bit of money. Check every rock, barrel and crate for items. You'll eventually have cash out the wazoo. Every Pokemon can have a chance to shine if you give it a chance. Unless you run Unknown. Then you're just an idiot.
  4. Theologically, a ten year old kid shouldn't be able to cram God in a device that could just as well hold a flounder or caterpillar. Macargo would melt your face off. Celebi = Time Travel. Time Travel + Me = No good for anyone ever. If two GRUNTS can afford to fix a hot air balloon in addition to HUNDREDS of machines, why would you even bother to catch Pikachu. Do you know how many Master Balls you could buy with that kind of dough. The Distortion World. Hyper Beam = Collateral Damage Spacial Rift = Collateral Damage Lava Plume = Collateral Damage Every cool move ever = Collateral Damage Since Pokemon movies are a thing in the games, we can only assume they would be a thing in the real world. Movies require actors. Actors can be replaced with Ditto. Hundreds of unemployed people. Airlines = Worthless Boats = Worthless Bikes = Millions Running Shoes = Worthless, but still very much appreciated. Thanks, Nike. tl;dr the economy would be in shambles, people's houses would be in shambles, people's faces would be in shambles, physics would be in shambles. And perhaps worst of all - Pokemon games wouldn't be fun anymore.
  5. We had Horde Battles in XY, but I think it's high time for Pokemon Wars: 6 Pokemon vs. 6 Pokemon. It would be the most glorious thing.

  6. Sure, why not? Public pools would mean nothing to me, but I could pull some crazy-mad Houdini stunts. And the horrifying practical jokes.... And I could just learn how to swim again... You may run as fast as you wish, but your metabolism will scale with you. Running 1,000 miles in 10 seconds will be the metabolic equivalent to running 1,000 miles without stopping or sleeping. Additionally, your reaction time does not improve. While in theory you could run faster than a bullet, you would have to have enough reaction time to move out of the way first. And running in a straight line may be somewhat useful, but running in a crowded area may result in a broken nose (or worse).
  7. I could study for a Stats exam, or I could rock out to KagePro while worrying about how well I'll do on my Stats exam. Tough choice...

  8. You know, there's a better option. It's called "Boot Camp." Basically, it allows you to run a copy of Windows on your Mac. I am typing on a MacBook Air, and my open tabs include RPG Maker VX Ace (A windows-only program), WordPad, and Windows Explorer. Pokemon Reborn works just fine. Of course, it takes a bit longer to install an entire copy of Windows, but I think it's well worth it. Here are a few pros: - You basically have a Windows computer now. - You can switch between Windows and OS X by turning your computer off and back on again while holding option/alt. - Everything runs a little better. - You're running WINDOWS on a freaking MAC. Cons: - It takes a while and possibly a lot of frustration to set up. - You have to take some of your memory and format it to windows (I currently have a 39/73 split, with 39 Gigabytes on my Windows side) - Did I mention it takes a while and possibly a lot of frustration to set up? Anyway, that's what I did. I'm not going to give you a tutorial on how to get Windows, or how to Boot Camp your Mac, but there are tutorials and (perhaps more importantly) Apple Stores for that.
  9. Isn't it obvious? Buy a new computer. Duh. As for a serious answer, bepe hit it right on the nose. If worse comes to worse, you can try putting a save on a USB or SD card or something like that.
  10. In FireRed, I caught a shiny Meowth. I was in shock and awe - I had caught my very first shiny. If I remember, that's like a 1/8192 chance or something. I evolve it into Persian, all the fun stuff. And then...and then...I lose my copy of FireRed. Why me. As for Reborn, I was trying to catch Beldum. Found a shiny. Didn't catch it. Gave up out of depression. Beldum, I'll be back for you someday. But I've seriously killed or run from shinies that I have no interest in training in Reborn. A 1% chance isn't all that special, at least compared to a 1/8192 chance.
  11. The Amazing World of Gumball needs more attention. Seriously, it's a really good show.

  12. I beat Noel by giving my Golem a Quick Claw and having it use Explosion. Then I'd send out a chump to give him Cotton Candy. Once you get rid of that Cincinno, the rest is doable. If you encouter another problem child, just blow it up with Golem again. Though it's a bit riskier, you could try and give a Quick Claw to a pokemon with Minimize and hope for the best. In fact, just grab a Quick Claw. It'll make your life easier. (I used Golem, but any Poke who learns Explosion will do.) It really isn't hard, it's just that you have to get a little lucky, which can be frustrating.

^This. if you decide to get Machine Gun, you're pretty much set for the rest of the playthrough... and to make it even worse, it's available pretty early on in the story...

But...but you can't beat the full game with the Machine Gun. I do agree, though.

  14. I listen almost exclusively to soundtracks. There are a few exceptions, of course, but have a few. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa11tMeCqNE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMPuTyeYcsY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEIWhy-urqM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLi8jAnJfjM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCZnh4VO4Kc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6kb96YWXMA
  15. I'm just gonna leave this here. http://xkcd.com/ Science facts, science facts...Well, there's a protein called Pikachurin in your eyes that is essential for for the fast responses of vision cells. The Andromeda Galaxy is likely to crash into our own Milky Way galaxy sometime in the distant future. If you wanted to turn the Earth into a black hole, you'd have to force all of its mass together until it was around the size of a pea.
  16. One day I was playing Minecraft. A pig wandered into my house of his own free will. I saddled it up, fenced it in, and put a sign over it saying "Wallace." Ever since then, wallacethepig has been my username on forums and the like, Wallace has been my username in video games, and no house of mine in Minecraft is complete until it has its own Wallace the Pig.
  17. Let's start with the millions section. Let's also cut the 3's out of the number, leaving us with 1,801,501 What are the first two numbers? 1 and 8 - 18. What season of Pokemon are we on? 17. 18 follows 17, so it's in the future. But what season do most people think of when they think of the Pokemon anime (and what digit do 17 and 18 share)? 1. Number 1 - the first season, the past, and what Ash Ketchum wants to be. Now, what pokemon can see the future and the past? Xatu. There is 1 non-legendary pokemon that begins with the letter X, and 3 that begin with the letter Y. So what? Well, this wouldn't be significant, but count up the number of times 1 appears in the number above. That's right, 3. X and Y are obviously related, and this number is too. But why is Xatu important? Well, it according to other Pokedex entries, it stands in the same spot all day looking at the sun. Sound like a Sunflower to you? And what pokemon looks like a Sunflower? Sunflora. Sunflora is a Grass type with the base stats 425. What is (4*2) and 5? 8 and 5, our two remaining nonzero numbers. And guess what? 85 is also Sunflora's base Special Defence! What Pokemon has the highest Special Defence in the game? Shuckle. Where can Shuckle be found? At the Apopyll Training Grounds. What else do we find there? Kiki. Kiki has purple hair. She is also a girl. What's another purple-haired girl that is currently relevant to the story? Aya. Can you figure the rest out? And with that, I've solved the mystery. As for the 0s, they're there to throw you off track. I am far more proud of myself than I should be right now.
  18. Cleary Ame is trying to tell us something. What's the first and last number of 318,015,013? 3 - the number of Toy Stories. And who is in Toy Story? Woody and Tim Allen - Woody Allen. What was Woody Allen in? Antz. What's the most famous Ant Pokemon? Durant, of course. Now, who eats Durant for lunch? Heatmor, the Anteater. What other famous anteater do we know? Arthur, of course. Arthur was broadcast on PBS - the same initials as Peanut Butter Sandwich. Now, what else do you put on Peanut Butter Sandwiches? Jelly. What else has jelly? Jelly donuts! Who makes Jelly Donuts? Brock, a Rock type Gym Leader. But in addition to Rock types, he also has a Crobat - a Poison type. This was mostly irrelevant, until the Fairy type was introduced. And as we all know, Fairy beats Dragon any day of the week. Now, that number 3 occurred twice in the first number - as the first and last. The first Dragon is Dratini, and the last Dragon is Noivern. Since we already have Noivern, and the first shall be last and the last shall be first, and you can't get much later than the future, Dratini is going to be in Ametrine. Duh. #dratinicunfurmd
  19. @Etesian wow. Thanks? I'll see what I can do, but there are a few things that need to be said. First, Golem's Explosion is there because of mad synergy with Sturdy. Even if Golem gets hit by an Energy Ball, he'll stick around to blow himself up (and can then be brought back with cotton candy). Efficient? Not really, but I creamed Noel with that strategy and that strategy alone. (And Quick Claw Golem is the jankiest thing ever.) As for coverage moves, I think the only type(s) I don't have supereffective coverage with are Water and Fairy. I used to have Volt Charge Meowstic but replaced that with Gardevoir, maybe I should forgo Shadow Ball on Gardevoir for Volt Charge? And as for Fairy, well. I DO have a Durant, I may swap it with Accelor. I am also a God of voltorb flip, so I'm STRONGLY considering Baton Pass Ninjask as I have the Substitute TM. Just because Fast Golem/Swampert = dead opponent. As for the team I want: Quagsire in place of Swampert. With Unaware and I'm thinking Waterfall, Earthquake, Curse and something else. Golurk in place of something, probably Golem. With Iron Fist and likely Earthquake, Shadow Punch (Which would be replaced by Phantom Force later), Hammer Arm, and something else. It may instead replace Clefable. Jolteon in place of Accelgor, probably. Volt Absorb with Thunder Wave, Discharge, Thunder and Shadow Ball. Chandelure in place of probably Houndoom. No idea what the ability will be, but the set will be something like Houndoom's sans Nasty Plot. Is there any way to slap Thunderpunch on Golurk in Reborn? Move Tutor, perhaps? I don't know. The only thing I would be lacking would be a Pokemon that could take a hit, though. Well, except for Quagsire, but Fern curbstomps Quagsire. And that's bad...
  20. And you said there would be a food shortage there. Sounds to me like they're covered.
  21. I'm calling it now - there will be Ultra Evolutions that will serve as Mega Evolutions for Mega Evolutions. Gen 12, any takers?

U know what, let's give everything an ultra. And when everyone's ultra... no one will be.

      Vinny

Then we can give ultras... mega ultras!

Ultra Shedinja. Just like normal Shedinja, but it has Sturdy.

      Think about it...

Ultra Luvdisc gives people heart attacks. And Ultra Unknown? Still useless.

  22. Dj-Jo is pretty good. I'm hooked on his Gourmet Race cover. Oh, and hapinano. Just listen to this, and you'll see what I mean.
  23. I can only remember one nickname I ever gave out. >In Diamond, I caught a Swinub. >Evolved it up to Mamoswine. >Keep in mind that TMs still were one-use only, but anyway >Taught it Toxic >Named it Swine Flu. It was the most glorious thing.
  24. So I figured I may as well post some stuff about mah pokemans. Current Team Lineup (Post Charlotte) Swampert (Sassy Nature, not EV trained) Ability: Torrent Moves: Earthquake, Muddy Water, Mud Shot, Surf Golem (Naughty Nature, not EV trained) Ability: Sturdy Moves: Earthquake, Explosion, Stealth Rock, Rock Blast (Which I favored over Stone Edge because 25*5 = 125, which is greater than Stone Edge, and I love me some good hax) Houndoom (Calm Nature, not EV trained) Ability: Early Bird (I know, I know) Moves: Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, Flamethrower Accelgor (Adamant Nature, not EV trained. Like it matters.) Ability: Sticky Hold Moves: Bug Buzz, Yawn, U-Turn, Final Gambit (Which I'm unsure if it's broken or just terrible) Gardevoir (Modest Nature, 252 Sp. Atk EVs, 252 Speed EVs) Ability: Trace Moves: Psychic, Shadow Ball, Calm Mind, Teleport (To be replaced with Moonblast when the time is right. As for now, Teleport is simply mad useful, so I'm keeping it.) (Shiny, woo) Clefable (Brave Nature, not EV trained) Ability: Magic Guard Moves: Minimize, Strength, Rock Blast, Moonblast (The HM Slave, as you can see. Still really useful though.) And that's all, folks.Comment, hate, love, whatever. Gimme suggestions, too, 'cause I need 'em. Though I plan on aquiring Quagsire and Golurk and adding them to the main roster, as well as Chandelure and Jolteon. Haven't caught the first two, working on EV training the second two. (and Lucario and Tyranitar would be nice too)
  25. Well all right then. So I'm playin' Pokemon for the first time ever as a kid. I pick Charmander, because he's the best one, right? Right. So I decide I'm gonna do some level grinding. At the very end of Viridian forest, I've got myself a Charmeleon, and just before my battle with Lt. Surge I've got a Charizard (which, by the way, might have been one of the most satisfying battles of pokemon ever. One-shotting 6 pokemon with Flamethrower just can't be beat). Now, I'm going through the game, gettin' all these spiffy new HMs - Fly, Rock Smash, Strength, and Cut. Why these four, you ask? Well, these are the moves I taught to my Charizard. I had no idea it was possible to delete HMs until later, so I'm just sittin' there, with a level 98 Charizard, gettin' creamed by Agatha (Cut, Strength, and Rock Smash had no effect on her Pokemon). Since I never really got any other Pokemon (Would you?), I restarted the game with more than one tear in my eye. Of course, I catch more Pokemon and reserve HMs for my non-Charizard weaklings, but I also don't grind nearly as much. I still win. And it was glorious. That is, until I discovered that there was someone who could delete HMs for you in Fuchsia City. Then I was sad again. (Of course, TMs weren't relearnable then, so I would've been kinda hard pressed for options, but still.)
