  1. I tend to use Cheat Engine to speed things up after the first time through the episode, so it shouldn't be too too hard to find them fairly quickly. And that sounds like a solid idea. I totally want to muscle my way through the game on a Fire mono once it's done, though.
  2. And funny you should say that given you were talking about the Salt Badge... I think I'm going to turn my Eufur run into Mono Fairy over time and maybe try Mono Fire on Roober just for a challenge after I work through the Episode twice with the other starters. Luckily, he does get Wil-O-Wisp via TM and if his Hidden Power wasn't Fire it would have been useful. Lifoam will remain my fun and varried run.
  3. You can also use HP Fighting over Focus Miss if you prefer, since it is quite questionable accuracy, although the power drop is extremely noticeable. Shadow Ball will be able to hit most Steels hard anyway since they are mostly Defensive, although Empoleon will give Alakazam a spot of trouble with the high SpeDef.
  4. I think you guys are underestimating my girlfriend's tolerance for insanity. Keep in mind she's put up with me for about 21 months now. She's kinda seen it all.

  7. I'm thinking of making a thread spotlighting the Other Meta of the Month metagames. They're all pretty fun and they tend to force you to think more creatively and put more time and effort into team building. Thoughts on the idea?

I love some of the OM but they frustrate me at the same time! And the reason is that they limit you even more than the current OU. For example, my favorite that is mixed and mega you see the same mons with the same mega stones all the time, even though they create so much creativity! For fun OM are wonderful, but for competitive play and laddering are so restraining...

My favorite is probably Gods and Followers. I have a really fun Mega Lucario team that can tear through other teams.

  8. No one's mentioned it yet, so swap out Espeon for Alakazam for extra power and speed, which are the two things you want most in a special sweeper. Either Life Orb or Focus Sash work, although I prefer Sash and find it tends to work out a bit better. You'll probably want a set that looks like Psyshock / Dazzling Gleam / Shadow Ball / Focus Miss or T-Wave. Psyshock for STAB, Dazzling Gleam for Hydreigon, Scrafty, and the like, and Shadow Ball for nailing the bulky psychic types like Cres and Reuniclus. Focus Blast for hitting steel types hard and T-Wave to cripple other sweepers or walls.

  11. Here in Reborn, we tend to come in all shapes, sizes and varieties, so I wouldn't stress about your age so much. Plus, I feel like the reputation of younger people on the internet has slowly been built up over the last few years, so it's less of "oh god a stupid 15 year," since people are quickly realizing idiots and trolls come from all age groups.
  12. I just finished Code Geass R2 and, to be frank, I did anticipate that ending. Still good, although since they let you see things from Lelouch's view it's kinda obvious what's happening.

And that ending is debated to this day. I still will side with he died there no matter what the movie does to it.

  13. I always enjoy using Megas that OU teams hardly ever prepare for. Like Ice Beam Absol and Facade Pinsir.

Yes. Or at least my phone thinks so.

And as for unconventional Pokémon, I like to surpise people as well, with things like Yanmega, Dragalge, Virizion or even Moltres, which people don't anticipate or know how to deal with, especially if they rock moves like Power Herb Solarbeam or a random HP Ice.

Things like T-wave Mega Banette or Hyper Beam Mega Pidgeot are also usually a huge surprise (and huge fun to use!)

I'm skeptical about Animal Crossing. As much as I love playing the series, I'm not sure how it will turn out... It would be new to me, since I don't usually play on mobile devices.

As long as it's not "Free To Play", Ill be fine. Don't know what they'll do with FE, but Animal Crossing sounds like it'd work well on mobile.

  18. I am aware as to what you were asking and the EV training thread has that. Example, from the portion about the encounters on Azurine Island in the Grass during the day:
  19. For future reference, the proper section would be the "On the Hunt" subforum. Anyways, if you are looking for exact encounter rates, please use the Pokemon Reborn EV Training guide, here http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18129 , as this has all the encounter rates for each Pokemon in each area. Happy hunting!

ikr? stuff in W2 crits me all the damn time. also sleep moves always whiff at least once be4 they hit. and then wear off 2 turns later.

  22. Imagine if we fought the Redemption League or something similar with these field effects...
  23. Why is it that whenever my opponent has a team that straight up loses to my CM Manaphy that my Manaphy will get to +6, then get crit.

  25. I think one of the best mons to use against this field will be, without a doubt, Drought Ninetails for its ability to nullify the rain that might prevent the field's destruction. Another mon that's nice against this field is a defensive Sap Sipper Azumarril, as it resists Bug and would then be immune to Grass, which alleviates many of the problems that the field can cause. Bennett will bennett-fit greatly from this field and he has a lot of ways of preserving and heightening it, such as I mentioned earlier, Damp Rock Prankster Illumise which will be excellent for field preservation purposes. Any and all Swarm abusers can and will destroy foes on this field, with an extra special shout-out for Volcarona, since it is the only bug capable of potentially taking a respectable hit from a Fire type. For a potential Laura battle, Dual Screens Meganium is a huge benefactor of this field, as then with Leaf Guard being triggered, it can easily eat hits with the buffed pure Grass typing while not worrying about the annoying impacts of status. I'm kinda surprised Grass Pelt isn't auto-triggered by this field, but it's understandable as it is the exclusive ability of Gogoat and quite forgettable. Growth Victreebel is also extraordinarily deadly on this field with easy set up via Growth and Chlorophyll access. Really any Grass type that appreciates boosting quickly enjoys this field for obvious reasons.
