  1. I wouldn't worry about it too much, Tomas. Just take it as a compliment that you have essentially made an addict out of Red (among others). Regardless, I heartily look forward to having a nice discussion and blowing every little hint out of proportion once you post. I can't wait to see what devious little concoction you guys have cooked up this time around!
  2. Damp Rock Prankster Illumise coming through vroom vroom
  3. Frankly, the main thing going for Insurgence is the Pokemon. It has fascinating Deltas and neat new Megas (although most of the megas for canon mons they have are fairly useless and most don't even see much usage compared to the likes of Mega Delta Charizard or the insanely OP Mega Flygon, which destroys everything). Storywise, Insurgence is kinda dry. It's a little slow to pick up and the routes in between towns are mostly barren and take away from the overall experience, with the exception of Hidden Grottos which are designed to basically force the player into exploring the whole route in hopes of finding one. Balance wise, it's hilariously wonky. The mystery gifts are put it in without consideration of balance and some are insanely good. Like the current one, a Delta Munchlax at max Happiness, ready to evolve into Delta Snorlax, which has access to Thick Fat. That's available once you reach the first town. You can have that before you even chose your starter Pokemon. I like certain aspects of Insurgence, like the Deltas, but most of it is fairly lackluster in my own opinion because there just isn't much to hold your attention. You have easy access to grinding and ev training right after the first gym, as well as most cannon mons (with HAs!) via Friend Safaris. The story is predictable and there's a lot of dialogue that's just forgettable because it comes in massive chunks.
  4. So if this is Adrienne's field, I can't wait to see everyone trying to bring in their fire types on the trainer I assume to have a Huge Power/Sap Sipper Azumaril. It could also be Bennett's because good god Swarm and Bugs have an absolute field no pun intended day on this field after a turn or two. A Scarf Swarm Megahorn Heracross, a Speed Boost Yanmega with protect to buy turns while the field grows, and then a Volcarona to come in and clean up later by lighting everything on fire and destroying it all. Plus, knowing Ame, the other devs, and, most of all, the masochistic fun house that is Pokemon: Reborn, there's no way it'll be as simple as "burn it with fire ASAP." If it was, I kinda doubt we would have been told that or that the devs would have spent this long working on the coding for it.

That's what I thought when I got every single obtainable fossil multiple times EXCEPT for the one I wanted when I was doing my water monotype. The Helix fossil, mind you. I'm sorry, I know how you feel :L

I already had to deal with this when I was getting my Dome Fossil and Odd Keystone... come on, game. I've done enough pressing of f12 for a lifetime.

Still not found a Flame Plate, hm?

All the best to you. I know it's completely random, but mayhaps searching in the volcanic mountain or Apophyll cave might have better odds of getting one.

Just keep trying. It took me hours to get all the plates, even days.

Anyone who says that Ares isn't broken is lying.

  12. Foe future reference, the best place to put this is in the subforum marked "Team Showcase." Good luck with your playthrough! If you're looking for a strong Pokemon that can take some hits, try Camerupt with Solid Rock. For a faster hitter, try Lightning Rod Manectric with Charge Beam and HP Ice.
  13. Although, apparently (I just looked it up), Kang does have access to Flamethrower. Who knew? I guess that's the lecture your Mom gives you after you stay out too late? Actually, damn, Kang has such a nice special moveset. What the hell, GameFreak? Ice Beam, T-Bolt, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Surf, Focus Blast, Solarbeam and HP? Also Uproar and Trump Card for potential STAB moves? Damn, Special mega Kang could be deadly with Nasty Pass...

  16. Everyone is posting about 4:20 stuff and I just look at the clock and see that it's 11:30.... I always forget timezones exist.

  17. I mean, I understand where you're coming from, but it doesn't seem like that much of a jump from what I can see. Granted, we do have considerable blinders on in comparison to you, so I'll trust your judgement. But just to explain the reason why thought the way I did was because since Tomas stated that it was a type combination that was not present as of Gen VI, that it would follow that it would be in the next installment of the timeline present in Se7en, since we obviously aren't including any Pokemon from Generation VII in the speculation about types since we haven't even see any bug types from Generation VII yet. The wording of "as of" would imply that the typing was already present in Se7en since otherwise he could have simply stated that it was a typing combination that had never been seen before, period. The "as of" leads to the idea that since he didn't simply say that it was a never-before-seen typing, that it would already be present in Se7en. My speculation was purely based on the information of about 4 Bugs from Se7en and the curious announcement of the Bug currently being discussed, so it's understandable if I am not fully knowledge about the topic. I'm sorry if it seems illogical or farfetch'd to make these conclusions.
  18. Based on how Tomas said his statement, it has to be a type combination that is in Se7en since he specifically stated "as of Gen VI," indicating the type combination would be present after Gen VI and thus in Se7en itself. So, from the Bugs we've seen so far (slight spoilers for people who haven't played episode 1 by now)
  19. Speaking of which, the name name of Hexatis is an interesting one. The "Hex" part could also further the idea of it eventually turning into a Bug/Physic type or it could be an indication of Bug/Ghost, such as with the Hex Maniacs in previous games. Granted, I could be wrong about all this, as I was about Roober being a reference to the word robber and thus a Dark type.

  21. It happens, but most people are just regular folks who just want to play a friendly game. I find if you're polite, regardless of defeat or victory, then it tends to help relations between both parties substantially. There will always be jerks, but in the long term, being a nice guy is better.
  22. Steam Eruption has 8 max PP and can miss, which, with my luck, it will. Scald is a much safer move to use.
