  1. How has no one said Hawlucha, who, with Unburden, can out-speed nearly everything ?
  2. Wow, both of my parents are adorable round creatures from Kalos. Also, Gen VI represent.
  3. Since my pc's not working, I think I'll take the weekend to read through a ton of RPs. This should be great.

  4. Lady Luck just kinda hates me.

      Commander

The path of a gambler is not a smooth road. Luck is such a beautifully horrifying thing.

  5. Just a friendly reminder to credit the in-depth descriptions of the mons and their rankings to those who wrote them. Other than that, I may add another mon review tomorrow.
  6. Just a joke about how people (myself included) love to break apart every post to try to find the hidden meanings. Hence the purposefully terrible grammer.
  7. Arthur (Room 025) Arthur woke up quickly ot the sound of the announcement, feeling as if he had gotten no rest at all. He looked down at his watch and realized that was because he had only been asleep five minutes. Arthur sighed and looked around for one of the speakers that was supposed to be alerting him as to what he should be doing. He heard the annoucement clearly the second time it came on. "To all first years students; please gather at the Contest Hall where Professor Redwood will welcome you and your families personally. There he will explain how things like the Battle Points System works as well as how to obtain your second Pokémon. He will also inform you about the excursion to a Dragon Breeding Facility. The welcoming starts in 30 minutes!" "Well that does sound fairly important... No rest for the wicked, I guess, but I still can't figure out what I've done to justify this sort of treatment." Arthur looked over at Monica, who was resting soundly. "I might need her if there's a challenge of some kind to get my second Pokémon... but I also don't want to disturb her..." Arthur decided to gently shake her awake to get her permission to be put in her Pokéball. The sleepy bug nodded her approval sluggishly and then vanished in a wisp of red that retracted into the capsule. Lingering on the ball of such destructive power, Arthur whispered, "Sweet dreams," before putting the ball on his belt. He rose up and streched once more, then walked out into the hallway. Maybe this time I'll actually have a sense of direction... he thought to himself
  8. Hardy and Saphira confurms for ep16? Maibes. In all seriousness, I really love these wallpapers and I'm going to honestly have a hard time choosing which one to use at any given time. I hope you keep up the good work, because these are awesome as always! You rock, Diana!
  9. It's all good, I don't mind at all. Heck I have been fairly inactive myself over the past few weeks due to irl concerns. Anyway, Arthur's update is up. Basically he just passed out on the couch since he is just really done with the day so far. He'll probably wake up when his roommate gets there or something else happens since he's a light sleeper. Also this is a heads up that my PC decided to stop working last night, so there will be a shortage of colored text headings and italics in my upcoming posts unless someone wants to remind me as to what the specific codes for those are. Just my luck, man. Just my luck.
  10. Arthur (Boys Dorm, Room 025) As quickly as the madness began, it ended, leaving only silence and an overturned couch in its wake. The two other boys quickly went off to their own rooms. Before he left, the younger of the two said. "Never mind...things seem to be calming down. I think I'm going to go back to my room now." The second year student followed quickly behind him, heading off to his own room, leaving Arthur and Monica alone. Arthur turned to Monica, the fear quickly leaving her and being replaced with equal haste with curiosity. "Are we just going to pretend that didn't happen, or...?" Arthur let the question hang in the frail air, not expecting Monica to respond, but at this point, if she did, he wouldn't be terribly startled. "Well, silence is golden, I guess." Everything was absolutely quiet now, as if the fiend had taken Arthur's sense of hearing along with it. There were distant shuffling sounds of boys getting settled in and putting their rooms back in order, but Arthur was certain the silence could be punctured like a veil if one were to try hard enough. Granted, Arthur had absolutely no reason to do that as this was the first true moment of rest he had since leaving home. He streched lightly, then stood too quickly as the blood rushed to his head. He nearly fell over, but steadied himself. Arthur flipped the couch back into its rightful upright position. Arthur quickly made a decision that now was not the time to make friends, so he sat back onto the couch and Monica hopped up next to him. Within moments, he was driffing off into a dreamless nap.
  11. I will edit this post and suggest another few updated rankings later tonight. Edit: PC stopped working, so scratch that. Mobile is pretty bad for typing thins out and I'll already be forced to writing out tons of things on it so we'll see if I ever get around to reviewing more.
  12. Why is it every time I try to play a little OU, every Shadow Ball drops my Special Defense, Scald always burns me, and Rock Slide always flinches? Come on, Lady Luck, I play Pokemon to unwind at the end of a long day, not to stress out how you hate me.

  13. Let me submit a few: Turtwig - Grotle - Torterra: B+ Availability- either a starter (0 badges) or available once you get to Agate Circus (post Luna) solid choice for a starter that isn't totally OP Typing- Grass/Ground: decent, but has a lot of weaknesses Stats: High Attack (109), High Defense (105), solid Health (95) and Special Defense (85) Movepool- EQ via level-up, as well as Curse to set up and deal massive damage. Razor Leaf is the suggested Grass STAB move until Wood Hammer, as it is physical and it hits both targets in doubles. Synthesis is there if you are cheep and don't feel like buying potions. Breeding can be done to grab Rock moves for coverage. Crunch is there for coverage on Shade and Radomus. Leech Seed can be used for immortality. You can also breed Amnesia (via Snorlax, so post-Samson) to patch up the weaker special defense. Body Slam (breed from Chikorita or Tropius) can be run to paralyze your foes. Major Battles viability: Torterra can set up for days on most Physical attackers and then hit back with strong boosted STAB attacks. Quick Claw Curse is a clutch strategy that can used to decimate entire gym leaders single-handedly. Chances are that if Torterra begins to set up, the AI will have a tough time taking it down. It is unfortunately weak to certain special attackers, such as Arceus, PULSE Abra, and Muk/Swallot, so it will not be particularly useful there. It can, however, solo the Giant Steelix and most of Samson and Kiki's teams go down to it with ease.
  14. I like this change as it can add more variety for the champion battle. Sure, it means we will have to fight harder to get it, but the pot has also been sweetened considerably. Quick question, are all Pokémon who aren't mascots/horribly broken (Kyogre, SB Blaziken, ect.) allowed for the 7th slot or just the legends listed? I only ask because the wording suggested that it was just the legends listed.
  15. You can't use a mega, Hackspeon. Also feel free to introduce yourself in the Gramd Hall since this was your first post! Also, Noivy, I'm not sure I understand the merrits of a Lum Berry on a mon whose only attacking move is Facade.
  16. Terrakion is generally valued over Cobalion for getting smacked with a Beat Up because it has that strong STAB Rock Slide and also EQ to hit things with, but Cobalion is by no means a bad choice for it.
  17. To be fair, Zubat does need to keep itself in the air without any sort of strange magnetism. Also I do expect this run to heat up quite soon, so I look forward to that.
  18. VGC has its merits, but I persoanlly prefer Smogon, since while OU is heaily centralized around Talon, MegaGross, Lando-T/Garchomp, Ferro, and Clefable, the other tiers are fairly balanced and you can see all sorts of mons shine where they wouldn't otherwise. After all, Mega Camerupt can't handle the Water intensive, Scald spamming OU tier, but it can truly shine in RU or on a Trick Room team in UU with Reuniclus. Sure, there are those mons that are "too good not to use" but Smogon has historically been rather good about retiering mons when they need to be moved up or down.
  19. What I really love about UU is how it's far less centralized than OU and still has tons of solid Pokémon in it.

Yeah, UU is great. Stall and Trick are everywhere and it allows for interesting situations to develop.

I wonder where this notion of UU is stall is coming from. What is your team?

Stall is everyone simply because of mons like Milotic, Umbreon, Florges, Vaporeon, Porygon2, and Suicune. They all have reliable recovery and all of them have ways to either deal with status or benefit from status. These walls can break any sweeper who can't deal with them and their sky-high defenses. Without some way to set up or beat stally mons such as those listed, any given UU team is doomed.

  20. Slight correction on the part about Simple: that's the way Simple worked in Gen IV, but it was updated to be valued the same as two of the same boosts (rather than just doubling the effectiveness of the boost) in Gen V.
  21. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-291270309 Scarfed Defensive Zapdos isn't even that bad tho?
  22. It's been an ordeal.

  23. I'll see you guys either tonight or maybe Sunday, Time to go make people cry :)

  24. Mudkip and Bulbasaur are also availible in previous episodes if you are looking for them.
  25. One could argue Anna's thoughts are far more calculated than they appear since she has been the reason we've encountered and fought off the Meteors most of the time. I wrote a theory a while ago that I'll just call "Grandmaster Anna," where basically she has been purposefully instrumenting all our encounters with the Meteors to make us stronger to the point where we have become her "champion" since she is a physically weak and she needs someone to go out and do her dirty work.
