I've only got one other member besides Larvesta planned and the rest are up in the air. I'll probably go through movesets tonight and see what interesting contest combos I can cook up.

Report VIII: Rebirth, Compacted Updates, and Actual Progress Do you know what day it is? Because I do. It's in the bottom right hand corner of my screen. As I write this, the day is the 25th of September. The last time this was updated? The 13th of June. Now, look. There's a lot to cover in this update so I'm not going to give you the whole giant sob story of why it hasn't been updated. Instead, I'll give you the basics: RCBA, work, social obligations IRL, family obligations, and, more recently, school. Bam. Now that we've got that covered, we can go over the massive portions of this update. I've divided it up into neat little spoilers so your screen isn't flooded with info and you can't scroll to the bottom. You're welcome. Episodes 13-15 will be added in a similar format sometime soon and the verdict quote will be added after I get my posts caught up to where I actually am.

I'm not gonna pull a Kam and say that if I hadn't gotten haxed I would have 6-0ed him twice. Na, he beat me fair and square and the matches were fun. So go get 'em and show the rest of those remaining that it wasn't just a fluke.

I don't have much opinion on shipping, but if it's not well written, then it's just kinda a trashy fanfic like 50 Shades of Grey. I'm just going to say that if anyone is going to write any sort of ship with my character, they better call it "A Harrow-ing Experience."

Eaisily the 7th Street Stealth Game combined with any Strength puzzles, which are the bane if existence.

Swapped Morning Sun out for String Shot. It was only really there because I thought'd be an interesting combo with Magnet Rise in contests, tbh.

If you're looking for "wildly different" you could try Conquest which is a sidegame for the DS.

Hey, I'm happy to oblidge. I was looking to mix it up from the typical "kid goes on journey to save the region from disaster" so Coordinator fit the bill while still being decent at battling.

Since it's for MonoSteel, I'd say that Special would probably be better since most Steel are physical. As for moveset, you might try Aura Sphere/Calm Mind/ Dragon Pulse/ Dark Pulse for coverage. Annoyingly, your Hidden Power is Fighting :/

So for all of you would-be-gym-leaders, I have a bit of advice for you: know your type. Know all the weaknesses, the strengths, the secondary typings and movesets, anything that could allow you to beat back even a team with a complete type advantage over you. And most of all, know the game. A lot of competitive pokemon's challenge comes from the simple turn-to-turn play that most people forget about- especially in leagues. Make plays when needed to guide you to victory and EQ on that Talonflame's Roost. Understand your foe, correctly predict them, and force them into positions where they have but one, easily exploitable option and you've won regardless of team match-up.

I like the idea of a league and I've actually been craving a similar challenge for a while now, but I can't see myself being available for much of the coming months with school and other commitments popping up. If it this were to begin in May or so, I could certainly get behind it and support it more, but as it stands, this is just kinda the wrong time of year to be starting a league that requires 18 gym leaders, managers, and a plethora of challengers. The Gym leaders I'm sure would be slowly selected from the existing community and the managers would be those who truly had a lot of time to dedicate to a project of this scale, but the challengers would be a problem. There are only so many people who play Reborn and only a small portion of those actually participate in the community and hang out with us on PS. If we were to do this, the time of year would have to be a little better and we'd likely have to attempt to draw in PokeTubers to advertise the league as "a challenging test of one's true master of Pokemon." Granted, PokeTubers have given coverage to the community before in the forms of play-throughs of Reborn and Rejuvenation (as well as the other fan versions that have sprouted and taken root in the Fan Game Expose), but this is slightly different. I wish you folks luck and I ask that you keep these things in mind as you advance with your plans. I'm rooting for your success even if I don't have the time to dedicate that the idea deserves. Although, I do support what Hakuna said earlier about calling it a different name as it seems that while you attempt to emulate the former league as much as you can, there is only so much you can restore and the rest must be filled in with newer, updated bits. Maybe call it "The Phoenix League," in reference to its roots in the Reborn league while still establishing itself as a different, and unique, entity? It's up to you though.

You'd be hard pressed to confuse us when we've got our Own Tempo going on here.
