  1. This isn't current. Now you have to explore Iolia Valley before you can go through Sapphira's Path.
  2. Scraggy can now also have egg moves. Dragon Dance is one of them, which has the potential to be insanely good early game.
  3. I'm surprised I'm the first to say this, but there's a man named Nyu in a house in North Adventurine Woods over run with Pikachu who you can give sweet things and he'll give you Honey in return. I think the cheepest sweet think you can give him is Peppermint iirc, which you obtain from the candy shop.
  4. Actually looking at #5, I'd say it is the equivalent of Spinda's Cafe, but instead run by Slurpuff, based on the design.
  5. Report VII: I Make Some Minor Progress, Catch Some Pokemon, and Screw Around Where I left it off last time, I described how I simply killed Noel slowly as he deserved for that damn Cinccinno. Following that, I checked on Saphira, she gave me the keys literally the keys to the city, I thoroughly destroyed Fern and made my way down to the Nature Center just to check in. I then ran up the castle and visited my favorite character who isn't Cal: Radomus although honestly it's kinda a tie between the two with Cain trailing close behind and all of them for different reasons. A lot of people don't get Radomus. I do. Radomus is my kinda guy. Radomus is exactly how I act irl. I don't think you understand. I wear all sorts of goofy things and no one can convince me not to. I wore a cape to a school dance and pulled it off perfectly (style wise, that is. The cape stayed on). Anyway, I met Radomus who should be one of the next leaders to get a team re-haul jus sayin and got some exposition about Luna. Then Cain showed up and we had a short "fight" where I simply swept his team. Radomus and Luna were so caught up in my magnificent battling strategies that no one realized the spectacular Gossip Gardevoir was kidnapped! Stay tuned to find out more! ~XOXO We met the most interesting non-binary character in the game so far. I mean, xe's the only one at this point besides the PC if you're Ari/Decibel, but even so, Adrienn is sooooo much more interesting than any of the Player Characters simply because of the whole "displaced in time" thing. Personally, I think the little truth puzzles leading up to the Arceus fight are pretty neat. I kinda hope for more of the same sort of puzzle at some point later on since they're rather straightforward yet confusing if you overthink it. More to the point: Arceus. I obviously sided with Radomus. How could I not, after I just explained to you guys how much I adore his character?A level 75 Arceus is quite a potent threat, generally speaking. But it's okay. I have the perfect counter: Machamp. How? I used a Focus Sash because I didn't feel like waiting for Quick Claw to give me the Priority with Dynamic Punch. El simply used Full heals every turn after Turn 1, allowing Rel to kill an Arceus while on 1 HP. Our little group recovered G.G, captured El, and set Adrienn free from xyr time imprisonment. Adrienn freaked out when xe realized how much the city changed and Radomus calmed him down. What a nice guy. Cain and Radomus then offered to walk with me back to the castle, but I decided to actually catch some pokemon and progress in the actual completionist spirit of this run. From there, I've pretty much just been running around trying to grab things I missed. I went back and grabbed Misdreavus from her new event along with the Black Sludge right outside. I grabbed Squirtle through a little date manipulation because I'm impatient. I finally tracked down the last Zorua event and caught her. I did a bit of fossil restoration (I do mean a bit. I restored a Cranidos and then I left my Armor Fossil there) while I ran around Spinel Town returning furniture to get the EXP Share and after that, I headbutted trees in the woods until I found a decent Chatot and an OK Taillow. Then I caught a few miscellaneous pokemon in the general vicinity of the above areas. After soft resetting for a while, I finally obtained a female Eevee to breed with. The reason I want it to be female is because I plan on SRing Ditto until I can get one with multiple 31s, so I won't have it for a decent while... fun fun fun. Seviper, Flabebe, Solrock, Lunatone, and Tyrogue also had their respective events completed. Before my next report, I do plan to breed a Mareep to have Agility so it can become a serious threat. In other news that is Pokemon related but not related to the Pocket Monsters themselves, I went mining. A lot. I got multiple plates (most notably a Zap Plate and a Toxic Plate) and an Armor Fossil, while I went to have restored. Below I'll leave a list of all pokemon obtained. If you don't care about the specifics, that's fine. It'll be in a: Overall Progress: Badge Count: 7 Pokedex Progress: Pokemon Seen-449 Pokemon Obtained-156 Percent Complete: ~21.64% Verdict:
  6. Based on the seeming need of it for quite a few events, I had a sneaking suspicion that this would be the case. It'd kinda suck if you couldn't get Reborn's mascot later on because you accidentally used the required item up on a Baltoy.
  7. This was a fun little bit to do. I'll throw my results in a spoiler.I think it's fairly accurate. I do tend to blend physical and mental powers when I can.
  8. Okay, so, add Zorua to the list of event Pokemon which can have egg moves. The one I just obtained happened to have Extrasensory and when I was checking its learnset I realized that it was indeed an egg move.
  9. I know that Reborn is supposed to be a region covered in filth, but giving me a Toxic Plate from three attempts to mine in a row seems excessive.

      zimvader42

Reborn is filth covered in region, actually.

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Who got this region in my filth!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!

      Cepheus

actually... as far as I know Reborn was a happy, beuiful place... If it wasn't for those blasted Meteor Kids

  10. I'm itching to get into role-play for some reason... I blame Wander's "Auroral Starfall."

I'm planning on it... I'm going through the RP section right now and just watching all these guides and slurping up this knowledge.

Don;t slurp, sip. Sip with good dignity sir. You learn more when you pace yourself lol.

Fine... although that's not actually true for my brain since I acutally learn more through a binge than from a steady drip of knowledge... but I'll still go easy on it.

  11. I recommend Ludicolo, at the very least until Agate. Ludicolo has excellent defensive typing and while it is a bit tough to get decent moves onto it due to stupid learn times (like you have to wait until level 30 to evolve into Lombre for Giga Drain and 44 for Lombre to Ludicolo for Hydro Pump over Bubble Beam), it has gotten me out of quite few tight spots with its respectable special bulk and attack. Also, with Swift Swim, it can easily outspeed all sorts of things that would normally wreck havoc on any team. All in all, i personally feel it's a worthy investment due to its usability. Furthermore, if you are having trouble with a certain Fire (or later, Rock) leader, all you need do is whip out Ludicolo, set up Rain, and proceed to kill.
  12. The Dratini line learns Dragon Dance via level up if that's what you're referring to so DD as an Egg move would be pointless.
  13. Ya know, I'm actually fairly good at UU, but most everything deals in OU. *sigh*

Hey UU is very nice. The people in the Smogon chatroom are cool. You should chat with them. :]

  14. I love convincing random people on Showdown to try Reborn (both the game and community).

  15. inb4 Radomus is actually the canonical protagonist
  16. This was a tough fight, but in the end, my team managed to come through with a bit of hax on their side: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-239854029

  17. Imo, the forest didn't really do too much to help it out. Yeah, the x2 bonus to growth is awesome. Yeah, Power Whip getting a damage boost is pretty nice. But Numel is still availible before you fight it, making the Forest field work against it from Turn 1 if you spam a strong Fire move.
  18. There should definitely be a spoiler tag on this post and also change the title to along the lines of "Stuck on the Episode 15 Gym" because this was at the top of the recent topics when I saw it. I'd just hate for anyone who hasn't already heard who they leader is to be spoiled since the spoiler lock is still in effect.
  19. I'd really like to point out and add to this point here that a large portion of this community learned English as a second, third, or more, language. There's no reason to judge their illiteracy, as they are already aware that they may not be the very best like no one ever was, as they are already aware of that fact and are working to better themselves. How are they working to better their English, both in writing and in general? The same way anyone gets better at anything-by practicing. You don't immediately gain muscle tone from lounging around your house thinking, "Huh. I'm pretty fat. I should go work out." No, you'd actually have to exercise your muscles. Only through practice and rigorous dedication can you become better at any art or matter in general and writing is not exempt from this category. You cannot truly know something you do not partake and understand in. For example, I'm a guy. Not a woman. I don't presume to understand women simply because I am a guy and I cannot truly understand what they are going through due to a lack of experience of their circumstances. If I had the experiences of being a woman, perhaps I would understand and be able to relate and understand other women. But I am not a woman, so thus I have no such experiences and thus no understanding. I'll leave one closing note here: the world is not won through skill alone. Practice and dedication are required to hone any skill to an optimum level. Inante skill and ability are truly boons to one's self, but it is possible for one who was initially less skilled over take the one who previously seemed more skilled through a ton of, to quote Winston Churchill, "Blood, toil, tears, and sweat." Only through an offering of these four things, along with a desire to change and adapt, can anyone become a better and improved version of themselves.
  20. I think I'm in love with this concept. After reading all this, I don't think there's any way I can not at least sign up. It seems quite intriguing, and, frankly, I entirely agree with you on the whole point of the anime. When I was younger, I used to love watching the "anime" with my old brother and it still sets in my heart rather fondly. Yeah it may not have been the best then, but hey, it was something neat and new, something different from other things. But you can only rehash the same concept over and over again with the same protagonists without it getting old real fast. So you can count me in.
  21. Well Swords Dance you get from beating the first gym, Ice Beam you get from the second, Toxic for defeating Fern for the first time due to his Toxic personality, and I think you get the other ones from a couple of side quests where you just talk to a couple of random people on the streets. I don't remember exactly tho. yes that was sarcasm and also I realize this is Rejuvination's thread, but I'll take any insult I can arbitrarily give out to Fern
  22. Forum Name: AuthorReborn Server Name: AuthorReborn Opinion of your own skills (1-10): It honestly depends on the day. I fluctuate more than a Castform in changing weather. If I had to quantify it, I'd say I vary from 3-6. Timezone: GMT-7 (MST) Hours best for you: Some where between noon and midnight my time (so 7 to 7 in GMT) Hours worst for you: Any time besides the above as a result of sleep and work. Anticipated Away time: I don't have any definite plans, but I'll have school starting late August so that will limit my availability.
  23. This is not true. IIRC, then it was changed in Episode 14 that all abilities cycled in a definite manner. Take Clefairy for example. It has three possible abilities: Cute Charm,Magic Guard, and Friend Guard (HA). If you were to have a Clefairy with Friend Guard and you wanted to have a Clefairy with Cute Charm (no clue why, but roll with it), it would always take one Ability Capsule. to go from Friend Guard to Magic Guard would always take 2. On the other point, Ability Capsules are fairly easy to obtain as of Episode 15. Now, they can be rather commonly obtained via Pickup and really another tip on your list should be to have a Pickup army imo due to their usefulness.
  24. I'll point out here that you can also read up on the field effects in the Beryl Ward Library and in the text document titled "Field effect Manual" which is in the main download of the episode. Casual reminder that Mega Amphy has 165 base Special Attack, so we won't be getting it for quite some time. 165 Base Special Attack makes it tied for the 9th highest in the game (only outclassed by Mewtwo-Y, P-Kyogre, Mega Rayquaza, Deoxys-A, Mega Zam, Hoopa-U, Kyurem-W, and Mega Gengar) and it possess strong dual STABs which will demolish most things, especially in game. So seriously, don't hold your breath on Mega Amphy. But regular Amphy is still awesome.
