  1. Banned because since Dark types didn't exist originally, you have offended many Gen Wunners.
  2. Darkrai used Sludge Bomb. Betrayal is sweet
  3. Honestly, it never hurts to have it. You never know when you *might* need the esact skill set Metagross posseses. It may take some time, but hey, it never hurts to have pseudo-ledengary.
  4. Let's break it down a tad. Keep in mind this is all from memory and purely speculative in nature. Available Candidates- Titania, Amaria, Ciel, Hardy, Sapphira, Adrienn (don't blame me if mispelled. I used the OP spellings) Titania- Steel: Looks like a tough battle because steel is a strong and versatile type. I don't think this one is plausible because we haven't seen any new field effects that would give her the edge other than the Mountain field. It is quite possible I am wrong, though. We might just end up in the factory field again. Amaria- Water: This one looks quite promising with the host of new water fields added. Definitely possible. Ciel- Flying: I don't expect this one to come up soon due to the fact that we just beat Terra and I don't feel like Ame would let us stay in the same location. Also, I expect we'll receive the TM Acrobatics for her defeat, which is a rather strong move all things considered. I don't think this is likely. Hardy- Rock: Hardy, as a Reborn League Leader and a player, worked to prove the Rock type was a force to be reckoned with. I don't think we'll be facing him since 1) he was practically the pinnacle of the skill of the league and 2) he's too concerned with Aya's capture to be thinking about gym battles at the moment, not to mention he has his own gym in Agate City and a few of the gym leaders we face don't really have their own "gyms" per say, as in actual buildings with the one and only purpose of being a place for up and coming trainers to challenge one of the best in the region. Many of the leaders we face have "gyms" as in impromptu stages which will serve as their gym during their slightly askew situation, such as Noel, Julia (remember, her gym was a power plant first and thus it isn't really a "gym" as I previously defined), Samson/Ciel, Terra, and Luna. Hardy does actually have his own gym gym, which is simply a gym and not for any other purpose (that we know of) so unless his gym is actually destroyed by the Meteors, I don't see this happening. Saphria- Dragon: Dragon is designed to be an insane type to fight. It resists every starter main type and murders most types in return. That being said, Dragon is often used as a final challenge to test the true perseverance of the Player. A couple good examples of this are in BW with the two Dragon leaders which gave out the Eighth, and final, Badge and the infamous Dragon Tamer of the first four generations: Lance. I suspect Saphria, the dragon leader constantly shown to be insanely powerful with her ability to wipe out a lake full of Meteors in the time it takes you to fight a battle or two and also later tames an enormous Steelix because Wynaut? I feel, based on these facts, she will be leader number #18 and be the final bar from the Pokemon League. Adrienne- Fairy:(I apologize in advance if I accidentally screw up the non-binary pronouns. I am a tad rusty) Xe's a real possibility. It seems like we're heading back to the city soon enough and we'll be able to see xyr good work. Not to mention, xe already has a neat field effect implemented in the Coral Ward. That's my analysis. Keep in mind, I haven't played through it in a while and it is all from memory. Feel free to add to or refute.
  5. Come on, do we *really* need to go back to FNaF again? That ship has left harbor, encountered pirates, been taken over, and later sunk for the enjoyment of said pirates. A Groudon named "Yellowstone." Edit- that was supposed to be a volcano joke, but then it became a joke about his non-primal shiny after I thought about it. Haha
  6. I think that's how Gen III Birth Island comes about. What if there was a way to recombine Shedinja and Ninjask into a new, stronger Pokemon which is still Bug/Ghost (because that is WAY better typing than the Bug/Flying of Ninjask).
  7. Hmm. No offense, but I would take out my mother. She's lived a long and good life so far and my daughter has yet to. Would you rather never be able to forget any morally questionable action you have committed (as in they are constantly in the front of your mind) or not be able to sleep?
  8. Let Torterra be his own man. Don't foce him to live in Blastosie's Shadow. Beheeyem named "Take2Leader."
  9. I agree with the aforementioned with Liligant, although since you already have Drought Vulpix on your team, I would also recommend having Chlorophyll, as it will give you the instant speed boost in the sun.
  10. "Why do you have to be a nonconformist like everybody else?" -James Thurber
  11. Report I: Energized and Ready to Sweep In this past few days, I have been mostly occupied with irl concerns, so I haven't made as much progress as I had originally hoped. Still though, the run seems to be going smoothly (so far). There isn't much to report, really. I flew through the first Fern encounter, the first factory, and Julia's gym. The leveling has been smooth so far. Most of the time I have been playing is SRing to get Hidden Abilities on a few select monsters and favorable stats on others. I have only caught a couple of mons outside my main team at the moment, although I'll likely have quite a few more entered into the Dex on my next check in. Oh, well one interesting development that seriously frustrated me when I discovered it was the fact that I had been playing on an older version of Reborn which, for some reason, did not allow HAs to generate on pokemon, which greatly increased the time I spent SRing for Hidden Abilities until I finally figured this out. So yes, half my play session wasted on me being an idiot. I won't put it past myself to do something like it again, but I can hope it doesn't happen again. Current team- James (M) (lvl 15) His lovely Soundproof has been proven to be quite useful in the early game with the abundance of Supersonics and Growls being tossed around. Not to mention Echoed Voice > Uproar once you get it going for a couple of turns. Symphony (F) (lvl 14) --> I grabbed this music bug a tad earlier than I normally do this time around simply to fill up another party slot and not have to worry about spending time to grind one up specifically for Florina. So far, she has been about as useful as James and I alternate between them depending on who is about to be murdered. Marta (F) (lvl 15) I always enjoy the company of Espurr/Meowstic until I have access to better, stronger Special Attackers such as Gardevoir or Alakazam. It is a boss early game which can support nicely and deal fair damage. Rachel (F) (lvl 15) Turtwig is really starting to grow on me (Grass pun unintended) by being bulkier than I had imagined for a little starter which is literally just a baby turtle with a twig on its head. Rachel also just learned Razor Leaf, which is a decent strength STAB move which hits both opponents in doubles. Razor Leaf will probably stay in Rachel's arsenal until eventually she evolves into Torterra and can learn Wood Hammer. Braveheart (F) (lvl 15) -->--> I finally grinded up Sacrifice and traded him off so I could have a lovely replacement. I have yet to actually use Braveheart in combat, though. Her day will come. Nikola (F) (lvl 16) This is the lovely little hound I bring out when something dares to stay alive. It is a lovely revenge killer to help out some of the slightly weaker mons on my team. New Box Additions: Ittsy Bitsy Cleffa (Not nicknamed yet) World Champ Budew (NNY) RRR Badges-1/18 Pokedex Progress: Seen-76 Owned-17 Verdict:
  12. I recently put up a poll as to which sort of run Reborn preferred me to play through. Completionist won, so here I am. The goal is to obtain all 721 Pokemon (when available) throughout the course of the game. Rules: 1. No usage of the Reborn trading service can be made to fill in a new Pokedex entry. This includes all 721, including starters and "choice" Pokemon as they will all be made available at some point or another. 2. In the spirit of the game, when possible, I will use somewhat weaker Pokemon instead of the strongest available. Example: Mismagius would be used over Gengar on my team. 3. Cheat Engine may be used at times, but ONLY to accelerate grinding (both for XP and for coins via Voltorb Flip) and NOT to edit or alter Pokemon or other values such as money. 4. The level cap will be obeyed. If a Pokemon goes past the level cap, they must have a Common Candy used on them or face the box. 5. All event Pokemon must be captured regardless how annoying or bothersome their event may be or how the said Pokemon may be obtainable later in the game. coughcoughDucklettegginthePark 6. At the end of the game, all 721 Pokemon MUST be obtained or I lose (that is to say if I get lazy in the end and decide to not hunt for legends or other rare pokes, I still lose). 7.Reborn Community events are entirely legal, so for example, the RCBA prize Cloyster can be used. 8. I will add rules here as needed or pointed out to me. Current team after a short play-session which consisted of mostly soft resetting for specific abilities, IVs, and genders: Rachel (lvl 10) I have heard many good things about Turtwig, so I decided to check it out. It is living up to expectations so far. I should also note here I have never ever used a Turtwig before in my life. It is named Rachel to give her a bit more personality instead of something like "TREEBACKLOL." Sacrifice (lvl 8) ...I want Litleo. Marta (lvl 6) I was going to continually SR to get an Own Tempo, but... I got a shiny one... and it looked way too cute... sorry. Nikola (lvl 15) I don't plan on using this thing too much. Still, I made certain it had Lightning Rod for when facing Aster/Eclipse as it is always useful against Electrivire/Magmortar. As my personal Reborn tradition dictates, I caught it in my first Premier Ball. James (lvl 5) James is my irl little brother, so I decided to name the big, whiny baby after him. Very mature, right? Anyway, he'll become useful someday and become just as loud and annoying as he today... I'm kidding of course... kinda... 13. When your opponent is so confident in their own battling skill that they only bring a Magikarp (with ONLY SPLASH) and a Zigzagoon (in Little Cup, but still bad).
  14. I don't know how many of you are following the recent occurrences in Baltimore, Maryland, but it's terrible. There are riots which have burned substantial portions of the city and destroyed property. The Zoo was broken into and now Zebras are running down the streets of downtown Baltimore. A group of gangs have signed a pact to not rest until every government official is killed. My hometown is on fire due to the stupidity of humanity.

  15. Banned for indecisiveness.
  16. I kinda wish that more games gave the option to decide if your character is Right or Left handed. It's slight, but it really messes with immersion when my "avatar" is using the wrong hand.

  17. Banned for mentioning the name of a certain Grass Specialist rival.
