Imo, I don't think that Fire types are all that great in game to use as starters because you can obtain other powerful fire types fairly easily. My favorite is the obvious in Litleo->Pyroar. Some of the other good starters include Froakie and Turtwig though. People will say Froakie isn't all the good. He is, even for the sheer novelty of Protean which allows you to easily take care of any weakness you posses through your ample speed.

I believe you need to go here to download the latest version. Also, if you are going to use Cheat Engine for the acceleration of grinding, you must NOT save with the speed-hack enabled. This can lead to the corruption of game files and if you've trudged through to Charlotte, something tells me it would take a long time to go regain your progress.

Building inverse teams is always annoying and confusing.

It's good to get into the habit of exploring your surroundings, as otherwise you'll miss out on most of the better Pokemon events, such as Lucario and Beldum.

Mine can only be one thing: Fiery Dance. A decently strong move (practically the strength of Flamethrower) which is likely to raise your Special Attack one stage while killing things. There are a couple of other moves with similar effects such as PUP (Power-Up Punch) and Charge Beam, but PUP is a fairly weak move on its own and Charge Beam is likely to miss with the way accuracy works. Plus, Volcarona is the reaper of souls. None shall be safe from his wicked dance moves.

I'm tend to just catch a few pokemon and an alternate for each (example: say Azu and Sharpedo to alternate between), so it is for me haha. I tend to not go out of my way to obtain random mons either... coughtepigcough.

I don't think that PULSE Weezing isn't plausible, I simple don't think it really matches with the WATER Treatment Plant. My money's on Dragalge or Muk, personally. I'd say Tentacruel, but his Poison is more like a Jellyfish's than a personified pile of sludge.

That sounds like total hardcore mode. This sounds neat, the problems I have with it is a) Gen V-VI shiny sprites are a WIP and I'd also have to systematically go through every updated shiny which sounds like it'll take a while. But hey, it is up to you guys. I am at your mercy.

So I've been thinking (a bad habit, I know) and I've decided to do something slightly different. I'm making a poll to see which sort of uber special extra hard run the community would like to see. There *should* be a poll attached, if my device doesn't hate me (which is a big if). Anyway I put in a few simple choices and then the "other" option just for variety. I'd like to establish a couple of rules now, rather than later. 1. NO overpowered starters. This is basically me saying I won't choose Torchic or Froakie, for the sake of making things more interesting. That being said, I will attempt to use the most viable starters outside of that. I don't plan on using Oshawott or Tepig or the like. 2. IF I am doing a limiting run, I will catch other mons for the purposes of trading and breeding. 3. NO buying revives/cotton candies. I might use the ones I find and I'll buy a Cotton Candy for the kid at the circus. 4. I will ATTEMPT to steer clear of stronger mons when I'm able for the sake of diversity. Example: Mismagius instead of Gengar. 5. I am not doing a nuzlocke or any variations of such. I frankly find them rather dull since most everyone has tried it. 6. I will obey the level cap when I am able. Obviously if I only have one mon because of a Monotype/gen that might not work as well as I hope. Edit: Also, if you support someone else's "other" idea, if you could kindly just +1 their posts so we don't have the same ideas reiterated. Thanks That's about that.
