Indiana Jones

This is a tale of diverging paths. This is a tale of two who were nearly the same in every respect, but later diverged into two entirely different beings. It all began on the East Coast of the United States of America. Both he and I were born there. Our families followed the same religion and both held similar values to heart. We both had similar traits: brown hair, brown eyes, fair complexion. We were both so similar in every regard, with both of us being into Pokemon, Star Wars, cooking, and all sorts of nerdilicious endeavors. We were both somewhat loners back then, and up until recently, this was the rule for both of us. Everything changed when we both later moved out west independently of one another to the eternal blizzard some refer to as "Wyoming." Here, we were completely alone in all social encounters and did not even know that the other existed for several years, until our paths converged. The point where we truly met and learned of each other and our similarities was approximately two years ago, and was at our introduction to the (somewhat obscure) activity referred to as either "Speech and Debate" or "Forensics." From here, two mirrored personalities and beings began to split. I became a champion of change, a paragon of honor and kindness, and a sentinel of unrelenting passion, who, when tread upon, would unleash the bound fury of Hell's flames through the flickering tendrils of logic and passion fused into fluid, brisk, and smoldering tendrils through the immortal authority of words. I became outgoing and friendly, a comforter to all and a shoulder to cry upon. He became the opposite. He became an antagonist of the minority, a perpetuation of a stereotype, and a bastion of unrelenting, stubborn, stupidity and he became uncensored, allowing every rude and crude thought to escape his lips with no thought of the consequence, nor respect towards those who may become offended by his phrase. He became a beacon of darkness in a bright day, a leech who sucked the joy out of others with jagged words which cut and left caustic marks. Let this be a warning to all: regardless of how similar you and another may seem, there may come a day where your interests and indeed your intents may diverge. And if that day arrives, you must be prepared to take a stand for your beliefs and go head to head with that individual. Do not go gently. Despite how dark and pessimistic it may seem, be prepared for a divergence.

I voted normal. I like normal as a type and it has some nice general versatility, especially early game. The real challenge stems from the most common problem with normal types, that is, they tend to be really, really bad later game. It'll be quite interesting especially with the rotating team rule of Rule 6. Anyways, I feel normal would be a true challenge as the game becomes exponentially harder later on. Vote Normal!

Trick Gengar Gengar @ Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Trick - Shadow Ball - Sludge Bomb - Focus Blast Shuts down all sorts of stall. Also, with the Choice Scarf, Gengar can outspeed almost anything in the tier and speed tie with certain threats such as Choice Scarf Latios, which your opponent won't see coming and may lose one of their fastest sweepers as a result. Typcial Gengar coverage allows for the destruction of many different mons.

I'm not entirely sure the purpose of this thread. Are you looking for help with finding early game mons or just team building in general? Are you stuck on a fight or just trying to be certain your team is as good as it can be?

I definitely would vouch for Rosarade. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain to evolve and I don't enjoy friendship evos at all, but you can breed Sludge Bomb onto it, it learns Giga Drain via Levelup, and with Hidden Power availible, you can cover its weakness to various types quite easily with the amazing ability Technician (requires a Budew with Leaf Guard or Ability Capsule). The last move slot can be used for a variety of purposes. This thing has an excellent in-game variety of levelup moves whereas other mons are forced to rely on the usage of TMs. For the final slot you can have Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Aromatherpy, as well as another decent variety from breeding in the form of Extrasensory and Sleep Powder. It's up to you which of these moves you use, but all of them allow you to have a powerful special attacker that punishes most foes that your physical attackers can't handle.

I'd be a Gallade most likely. I'm quite gallant in my normal life, so it suites me, I feel.
