  1. There are no "wild" Houndours, there is only one and you must finish the gang war for it.
  2. That moment when you predict someone's Chansey lead and you lead with your own Taunt Gengar and they forfeit.

Update on the my battling exploits: You know you're low on the ladder when you face someone with a Dark Pulse Rotom-W.

  3. His trash cloack burmy is male, which evolves into Mothim, not Wormadam.
  4. Actually, Ice beats ground, but Rock doesn't resist Ice, so when you use an ice move on a common Rock/Ground type, it counts as super-effective. Defensively, however, that same Rock/Ground pokemon can strike back extremely hard with a rock type attack and destroy you since Rock beats Ice. To summerize: Ice > Ground Ground > Rock Rock > Ice Just keep in mind that type match up is usually just a game of Rock-Paper-Scizors.
  5. We have more a laconic character in-game than a silent one. The protagonist still responds to questions and can occasionally ask their own, but rather chooses to not babble all the time (which in my opinion is quite respectable. Good for you protagonist).
  6. Bring nest balls and bring something that can paralyze/put it to sleep. Emolga/Manectric/Pachurisu are great for paralysis and you can catch a Paras in the forests around route 1 to put it to sleep.
  7. Sludge Wave can be obtained for defeating Aya, at least when I last beat her (which was up to episode 12).
  8. For example, before Episode 13 was released, the game files of Episode 12 showed that Adrienne is supposedly next. But then we fought Charolette. Same applies here. No one expected Terra for 14, and yet here she is. For Ice types, you've got a couple of reliable ways to go. Tank There are only really two plausible solutions here and one of them is far above the other: Avalugg and Walrein. Let's break it down a bit more. Avalugg: Have you seen this defense? And that attack is nothing to laugh at, either. Unfortunately, this glacier which redefines the meaning of "physical wall," has the abysmal base 46 Special Defense. What sort of a tank has that? Butterfree has twice that. So, if you use this, be wary of any special attack at all. Pros: Curse Blaziken? That's cute. Cons: Whoops, got killed by a random Oddish's Acid. Walrein: Extremely balanced stats. All around, quite a decent choice for any party member. Pros: Doesn't get murdered by any Special attack Better for a rounded offense Faster Cons: More weaknesses And then you have your offensive Pokes. Attacker Oh lordy, there are quite a few decent, offensive ice types. And some of them are definitely better than others. Let's start out with one that people really don't like. Vanilluxe. Vanilluxe: This thing can actually be obtained before the second gym (or, at least its pre evolutions can be. You know what I mean). This thing has some pretty nice stats, in all actuality. 110 base Special Attack and 71-95 in everything else. That's rather nice and well rounded, if I do say so myself. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the best of movesets. It does learn Ice Beam, Mirror shot, and taunt by level up, though. You could throw Freeze-dry in that last slot, I suppose, just to kill Swamperts and such. Hidden Power could also work out quite well. You can also grab a Steelix and breed Automatize onto it. Pros: Nice stats Decent-ish movepool Cons: It's an ice cream cone. No room for varied sets. Aurorus: A bit bulkier than some of the other offensive guys, but can still pack a considerable punch with Refrigerate turning all your normal moves into ice. Only problem is it doesn't learn many good Normal moves with the exception of Nature Power-> Tri Attack, which only works with no other field effect present. Yeah. like that's going to happen. Pros: Refrigerate boosts all normal moves Able to take some hits (keyword "some") Cons: What normal moves? Any fighting type attack Glaceon: This isn't Pokemon: Conquest. Don't use Glaceon in Reborn unless you plan on following in Serra's footsteps or you have a trick room team. Froslass: Speed+Destiny Bond can be quite deadly on occasions. Just don't die on the first turn (focus sash might help). Pros: Destiny Bond Rather fast Cons: Quite shallow moveset. Give it Blizzard, DB, Shadow Ball/Ominous Wind, and possibly Draining Kiss. Not much else you can use it for. Cryogonal: Pretty solid 135 base Special attack and 105 base Speed, only problem is it dies to a single mach punch. This thing is almost a literal glass cannon, as it will dish out some pain, but then fall shortly afterwards. Pros: Dat Special Attack Decent speed Nice move pool Cons: Speed won't matter much against Reborn bosses because they are too dang fast anyway, Paper thin defenses. Phew, that took awhile. Hope this helps somehow and I didn't just rant on the forums and get everything wrong. That would suck.
  9. Espurr is in a small house across the street from Julia's gym. You'll need to pay a bum some money to get to it and you'll need to have Poke Snaxs (probably misspelled) to actually get it to join you. Just save and soft reset until you get your preferred one. Edit: You'll catch it as an Espurr, but it will evolve into a Meowstic @ level 25, which is when it becomes good. Own Tempo is the Hidden Ability for Espurr, which is required to get Prankster (M) or Competitive (F), as both are the hidden abilities. Also, please don't double post.
  10. You can teach Alakazam Charge Beam via TM, have a Flying coverage move, and set up, all at the same time. Just a thought. Also, make sure Hawlucha has Unburden. Once he loses his item, his speed doubles. Just give him some item which he consumes in battle.
  11. I believe that it must be night with clear weather to find the Emolga. Also, other suggestions- Espurr, either male or female will work. It evolves at 25. With Male you can have a prankster duel-screens fella. If you want female, it is more offensive and have a move set which reflects (no pun intended) this. Give it infiltrator just in case something think it can hide behind a Sub (or Competitive if you're expecting someone to drop your stats. that +2 Special Attack is truly killer). Trapinch is worth the time and effort to get it, especially now that we have ORAS movesets and it gets Earthquake at level 33 (that will murder everything on Corey's team bar Crobat. But that's OK. Because he gets Rock Slide at level 15). Budew is an investment, but if you can get it to evolve into Roselia at level 16, you can get Leech Seed, as well as Giga Drain in a few more levels, then give it the Big Root from around where the second PULSE Tangrowth was. Because Poison is then neutral damage, Roselia can even take down Corey single-handedly (yup, it's possible. I did it on my second run).
  12. Hey. I'm Author (haha, I didn't think about this before writing this but now I see this is kinda funny/awkward). You can call me Vic or Victor if you want though. It doesn't make too much of a difference to me, so just call me whatever ya want. I'm very strong in persausive/argumentitive writing, as well as fairly good at imagery. I'm not always the best with organization/logical plot progression, which often causes some problems, as I'm sure you can guess. I hope that we can work together to strengthen everyone as a writer over time. I know I sure need the help in some departments.
  13. Well darn, i'm running a Speech and Debate Meet Friday-Saturday, so I'll try to get on later into the night, but eh, we'll see how that goes. Keep the party rolling all night!
  14. You're the best! I've already used my team a bit and it's really fun! Cheers!
  15. I believe you can buy both the Up-Grade and the Dubious Disk from the Department Store as well. To get them you may have to go to the top floor which we *technically* can't shop on, but you can go onto the floor, save, and revert to Episode 13 temporarily to buy anything from the floor you wish. Simply leave the floor while still in Episode 13 and you'll be fine to return to Episode 14.
  16. I know that some people have completed it, I however have not. I know that you obtain the Banettite from giving her the necklace, though.
  17. Yup. These links might be helpful for those pursuits in mind: General Cheat Engine Guide: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/?showtopic=6333 Etesian's Breeding Guide and Recommended Sets (to obtain through breeding): http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10935
  18. Protip: Use Cheat Engine to speed up breeding (both the production of eggs and to instantly hatch them) and grinding (by increasing the speed multiplier). This will cut down considerably on your overall time running back and forth in any given area just trying to level up.
  19. I'm looking for a balanced team which reolves around Mega Gallade and Volcorona, preferably viable in OU. Thank you so much, Skitty, you're awesome! And an early Merry Christmas to you!
  20. I believe his Skrelp is still unobtainable, but you can catch a generic Skrelp through Good Rod on toxic water.
  21. Tangrowth is one who gets Grass Terrain, off the top of my head. He saved me multiple times early game, not to mention he's quite nice and bulky.
  22. Sorry I forgot to add the "[spoilers] bit to the title. It's updated now.
  23. So I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed since I haven't seen anyone start a thread about this, but if you look at the streets of Reborn City, there are now sewer covers, [speculation] which would seem to indicate that we'll be returning to the city in Episode 15 by coming down the cascade, through the sewers, and up again through the streets (which would point to Adrienne, Titania, or Amaria as the next gym leader, but knowing how it's panned out so far, we're more likely to have Ciel or Hardy). Just a bit of speculation on my part, but I'd be interesting in hearing what you guys think on the topic.
