Really? I've not watched the anime yet but I plan on it. My friend got me to buy Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker and I've enjoyed it so far.

Well it's a personal favourite. Most people don't like it and of course it isn't nearly as good as the game. Have you tried the original Devil Survivor? I quite liked that one, although it had some balance issues (which Overclocked fixed).

      I haven't. I'm considering getting Overclocked though.

  10. ~★ғᴀʟʟɪɴɢ sᴛᴀʀs, ᴀɴ ᴏʀᴀs ᴏᴜ ʀᴍᴛ★~ Hello readers of RMT stuff, it’s me Roxas. I’ve not posted a RMT anywhere in quite a long time. I’ve been meaning to lately but I’ve been lazy and I haven’t had the motivation to actually come up with one. That and all of my teams lately bar this one have been lackluster. When I made this team, it started out as something I wanted to do when I was bored. I was on Treehouse’s Pokemon-online server and just asked to give me a Mega Pokemon to build a team around and the majority said Mega Gardevoir. So with that in mind, I went into the team builder, but I simply could NOT think of a Pokemon to go with Gardevoir. While I make teams, don’t worry this is important, I was listening to some music, and a song I found most beneficial to having a clear mind while make the team was something from the game called “Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker”. The song is called “Septentrion”, which is from the first arc of the game (Record Breaker has both the original Septentrion Arc and the new one called the Triangulum Arc). While the song is fast paced, it has so many musical stylings just clashing and it sounds amazing. Team Process Onto the team process, which is simple. I’ve actually made only one edit to a Pokemon’s moveset since making this team. As stated previously, the team is built around Mega Gardevoir. There’s… not really much to say here. Weavile is a good complement to Gardevoir. Weavile can switch into what Gardevoir can’t, bar steel- type moves. It’s a nice way to check what Gardevoir can’t do much damage to. A Pokemon I found that can create a nice, solid core with Gardevoir and Weavile is Thundurus-Incarnate. Due to the resistances that Thundurus has, he can easily come in on anything Weavile or Gardevoir can’t. Latias here can help out a lot, seeing as it has a similar part with Thundurus, although being used for completely different roles. I chose her because of the resistances she has and is able to be used for support and clearing the field. Keldeo makes up for what Gardevoir, Weavile, and Latias can’t do. Take on dark-, fire-, and steel- type moves respectively. He’s also a good means of offensive power in case Gardevoir hits the sack. Ah Heatran. It’s no denying I absolutely love Heatran, but I’m using it this time for more than just a biased purpose. Heatran is a good way of checking my two Pokemon that are weak to ice- type moves. It’s also my means of setting up hazards. Going into detail @ Trait: Trace EVs: 24 Def / 232 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Hyper Voice - Psyshock - Focus Blast - Taunt This set is pretty simple to use, albeit a bit lacking in terms of setting up. I went with this set because it’s honestly exactly what I wanted. With Gardevoir’s lacking speed, I try to make sure I use her only when I know it’ll be most opportune. Onto the EVs. 24 defense evs, while may not be enough, gives her just enough to last some powerful physical moves. The 232 special attack EVs is because bar Focus Blast, she gets a STAB Psyshock and STAB Hyper Voice due to Pixilate. 252 Speed is to make sure she can outspeed some of her more slow-like threats. I feel like I should only have to explain Focus Blast and Taunt. Focus -miss- Blast is there to make sure things like Heatran and Non-scarfed Magnezones go down quickly and the opponent’s team can pose less of a threat to the rest of my own team. Taunt is there for things that Gardevoir may not be able to KO easily but can put a stop to any of their status moves (Ferrothorn, Chansey, etc). @ Shiny: Yes Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Fake Out - Knock Off - Ice Shard - Low Kick Weavile’s set is yet another simple one. This was the only Pokemon to have any changes made to it since the actual creation of this team. The first set ran Ice Shard, Knock Off, Pursuit, and Icicle Crash. After having trouble with those moves, I decided to change them up to kind of hit better. I feel like I shouldn’t have to explain the EVs, since Weavile IS a fast physical attacker. Although the moves, I’ll gladly go into detail with. Fake Out is able to fuck up things like Lopunny, and anything else that would generally OHKO Weavile. Depending on the aftermath of that first round depends on what move I’ll use. If I’m facing a steel- type or dark- type Pokemon and am sure to no end that I’m faster, I’ll generally go for a low kick. Ice Shard is for the obvious priority attack and can OHKO some pretty big flying- type threats that would otherwise be detrimental to this team’s health. Now, as to why I’m running Knock Off instead of Pursuit. While Pursuit can trap things like Latios, Starmie, common psychic- type Pokemon, I prefer them losing their item to screw their bonuses over before they have a chance to fuck me over. Y’know? @ Shiny: Yes Trait: Prankster EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd IVs: 30 HP / 30 Def Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Thunder Wave - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [ice] - Psychic Thundurus is used as a sort of safeguard for things like Gardevoir and Weavile who can’t handle steel- type moves. My other pokemon like Heatran and Latias can take them as well, some even better than Thundurus, but eh. I added Thundurus-Incarnate because of its special attack, speed, and the ability Prankster. Most people run Nasty Plot or Agility, but I’d rather run Thunder Wave. The reason why is because Thunder Wave can cripple a LOT of Pokemon, especially choice scarf users. By using Thunder Wave, I can proceed to go with what I see fit. Thunderbolt gets hits hard from STAB and its 100% accuracy. Hidden Power Ice is useful against almost all flying- types, ground- types, grass- types, and dragon- types. Being able to deal a hell of a lot of damage to them by using Thundy’s special attack is just awesome. As for Psychic. Uhm. I honestly just used this as a filler move. I didn’t really want to use Volt Switch since I already had two other electric- type moves. Psychic can get rid of things like Gengar though, so that’s a plus, right? @ Shiny: Yes Trait: Levitate EVs: 72 HP / 184 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Healing Wish - Defog - Draco Meteor - Psyshock Latias, in a way, is like my Thundurus. It’s used to help support and save my Pokemon that are severely weak to things that she is not. She can switch into things like Bullet/Mach Punch and retaliate with ease. I chose these EVs because of how she works in tandem to the rest of the team. She’s able to hit pretty decent with her 184 EVs in special attack, and can outspeed a good chunk of non-scarfed, non-mega Pokemon. Her moves are used as an easy means of backing up other Pokemon. She can live without Draco Meteor (maybe), but Psyshock can help most definitely when it comes down to it. Healing Wish is used as a sort of final gambit (and I see it as an asshole way of stealing the KO from my opponent) used to heal any Pokemon with low health BACK to full (but only when Latias herself is close to perishing). Defog is to make sure I get rid of all hazards before having to switch (which can mean life or death in some cases). It also has a way of making sure I can hit with Draco Meteor if I need to use it. @ Shiny: Yes Trait: Justified EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Substitute - Calm Mind - Scald - Secret Sword Keldeo-Resolution is a great way to protect both almost every Pokemon on this team from harm. Ice- against Latias/Thundurus? Nah, this pony gonna take it like a boss. Oh, what’s that? A bug- type move on Gardevoir, Latias, or Weavile? No sir. Keldeo will stomp your bug- move flat. You gonna try a water- type move on Heatran? Heatran’s homie over here will take it and not give a frick! The only thing I can see happening is Keldeo getting blasted by an electric- type, flying- type, grass- type, fairy- type, or psychic- type move, all of which can be blocked by the use of other Pokemon. Keldeo kind of gives the team a full circle. Keldeo is a great special attacker and can just obliterate things once it gets a few calm minds out and substitute up. Secret Sword and Scald working together is pretty great, especially if I can get that burn damage. @ Shiny: Yes Trait: Flash Fire EVs: 248 HP / 192 SDef / 68 Spd Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Lava Plume - Toxic - Taunt - Stealth Rock Ah. Heatran. This set is no TormenTran (<3), but it gets the job done. This is my hazard setter, albeit slow. Heatran does do some amazing work in terms of protecting other members of the team from otherwise would be devastating blows. It can come in on most all threats and everything else can come in on its own threats. It’s a perfect Pokemon (that I felt) needed for this team. This Heatran is used for being able to kind of take some hits and deal some poison damage, stealth rock damage, fuck over the opponent’s slower Pokemon with Taunt (If Thundy’s T-wave got ‘em first, that’s even better!), and just wreak all kinds of havoc with Lava Plume. This is a pretty typical Heatran set to me. Importable Version Gardevoir (M) @ Gardevoirite Trait: Trace EVs: 24 Def / 232 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Hyper Voice - Psyshock - Focus Blast - TauntWeavile (M) @ Life Orb Shiny: Yes Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Fake Out - Knock Off - Ice Shard - Low KickThundurus (M) @ Leftovers Shiny: Yes Trait: Prankster EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd IVs: 30 HP / 30 Def Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Thunder Wave - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [Ice] - PsychicLatias (F) @ Life Orb Shiny: Yes Trait: Levitate EVs: 72 HP / 184 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Healing Wish - Defog - Draco Meteor - PsyshockKeldeo-R @ Leftovers Shiny: Yes Trait: Justified EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Substitute - Calm Mind - Scald - Secret SwordHeatran (M) @ Leftovers Shiny: Yes Trait: Flash Fire EVs: 248 HP / 192 SDef / 68 Spd Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Lava Plume - Toxic - Taunt - Stealth Rock Final Glance Conclusion Hot damn, this has been one long as fuck RMT. It’s possibly the longest one I’ve ever written and I’m very proud of this, myself, and the team. I’m glad on how well the team functions together. Each Pokemon, I feel, plays an important role to the other members of the team. It’s kind of like the cogs of a clock. If one isn’t working, none of it really works. Anyway, I’m glad you took your time to read this massive RMT of mine and I do appreciate any recommendations you have towards making this team better. Thank you.

I wouldn't say that's the case after ORAS. Lando-I was not so powerful, but its movepool made it difficult to play around, which means it had little to no checks. Almost always you had to let something die, t bring something else to deal with it. Even so, the opponent can just switch out and sweep you later.
