I don't know where you can find psyduck, but if you need it badly, golduck is still available at the Ametrine Cave.

A tip to avoid getting stuck on the pinsir/heracross puzzle: Make sure that you had all boufallants outside the route pushing the tree logs deeper into forest so you can clear them off with pinsirs later on. That will open new routes. This might not valid for the first image, but have that in mind everytime you stop making progress despite having checked all possible routes.

The only thing different you'll get are different dialogues: If you decided to battle Syrius in the Yureyu HQ, it means you will have to battle the doctor later on. Otherwise, if you had chosen to battle the doctor, then you would have to battle syrius in the future instead. As I said, the dialogues are a bit different, but in the end it leads to the same events and the story goes on regardless of your choice.

As it was with most of major battles before E15, Noivern was the hero of my team this time, though Vileplume almost got the title by proving itself very worthy. But I'm doing a new run now and I'll probably replace 'em all.

I second that. It will take a while before we venture into the desert to face Titania, so her Aegislash, for instance, might gain more and more levels, otherwise we would have stronger pokémons. Using the gym leaders' pokémon's levels to determine the order in which we face them simply doesn't work. And to not drift away from the topic, I also think that PULSE 01 might be earthquake-related. Too bad we have no idea about what pokémon it is. Though reality is that it might be pretty much any ground-type, I'll bet it is a whiscash, since it's one of the handful pokémon whose pokédex entries mentions its ability to cause earthquakes.

In my most recent run I've picked Torchic. The "broken" is real with this one.
