  1. "Each individual HP type is programmed in along with HP itself (all the Unown in the Unown Horde battle have a specific HP type) so it'll basically be a move tutor who can teach any HP." To clarify, this means that along with the IV-determined Hidden Power, I also programmed in Hidden Power moves for each individual type, meaning each one also exists as its own move. Here's what the data for the Unown Horde battle looks like: #------------------- UNOWN Horde 6 UNOWN,35,CHOICESCARF,HIDDENPOWERDAR UNOWN,35,CHOICESCARF,HIDDENPOWERFIG UNOWN,35,CHOICESCARF,HIDDENPOWERFAI UNOWN,35,CHOICESCARF,HIDDENPOWERBUG UNOWN,35,CHOICESCARF,HIDDENPOWERGHO UNOWN,40,CHOICESPECS,HIDDENPOWERPSY,,,,,,,shiny These don't rely on IVs, only the canon/original Hidden Power move does.
  2. Something of note. I realized "Reborn has a nature changer, so what if there was someone who could change the type of a Pokemon's Hidden Power?" so this is going to be a thing now. The Hidden Power changer will either be in episode 2 or 3 (I haven't decided which yet; there are two places I'm considering putting them). Each individual HP type is programmed in along with HP itself (all the Unown in the Unown Horde battle have a specific HP type) so it'll basically be a move tutor who can teach any HP. Also, 1.6 isn't only for map updates. I'm also adding a few events/sidequests (and polishing some misc things, which I'll mention when 1.6 comes out). Here's one in a new room of the Trainer's School that I had way too much fun making. And, since I showed a WIP version of Virima (episode 1's part of it, anyway):
  3. That's true. He also has multiple conversations with the player about his beliefs.
  4. If they have types like traditional Pokemon, I think UB-02 Absorption would be Bug/Steel and UB-02 Beauty would be at least part Bug type. UB-01 might be Water and/or Psychic. Not sure about Water since it doesn't actually live in water, and Inkay and Malamar are land-dwelling squids that aren't Water.
  5. I considered this. As much as he says emotions are useless, he's shown some. Another possibility is he thought he'd be too easily found out if he did all this in his home city, since people would know him.
  6. Some of Cyrus's story is actually known. He was born in Sunyshore City. He didn't live up to his parents' expectations so he didn't think much of himself, and his grandfather (an NPC on Route 228) regrets not taking him in. An NPC in Sunyshore City said that he was a good student but preferred machines to people.
  7. I think this trailer is the first time I've ever seen Bruno standing up.
  8. That looks awesome! I stopped watching the anime at Sinnoh (and didn't see Origins), but I'm considering watching this!
  9. Does it actually say they're exclusive? Serebii says they show the midday form being obtained in Sun and the midnight form being obtained in Moon. Serebii uses "being obtained in" and not "exclusive" which could just mean they showed the day one in Sun and the night one in Moon because symbolism.
  10. Oh yeah, I forgot about the Kricketot! I imagine that would raise points with Shelly too. Kiki doesn't have relationship points according to that pic, probably since she doesn't make it all the way through the game (Corey doesn't either).
  11. All of them (except Solaris, ZEL, Taka, and Sirius, which were RP characters IIRC) are based on real people who played the characters in Reborn's Pokemon Online league, which is what Reborn was before it was a game. Some events are based on ones that happened there or involved the real people, including Corey jumping off a bridge and Kiki's illness.
  12. Ame also said it's not always what we do in certain situations, but also what we do on the field/overworld. So there could be quite a few that aren't obvious and hard to notice. That's why I included things like shattering Serra's field (based on her dialogue I don't think she'd like that) and reading Titania's school diary.
  13. About being surprised at some numbers being so high/low, it's possible that some decisions give or take away more than 1 relationship point.
  14. Zero, Solaris, Sirius, and Lin seem to be the only major characters without relationship variables. Could be that something happens to some of them, or just nothing you do could ever make them like you by nature/personality/enemy status.
  15. Here it is. I think Foamy said that the three crossed out names are Lumi(na), Eve(lynn), and Taka. Also here are some guesses I have for relationship variable choices
  16. The night form looks A W E S O M E. If this is the secret it shares with the starters, that probably means they'll get day and night evolutions too. UB-02 Beauty looks like Lusamine and UB-02 Expansion looks like a suit of armor. We haven't seen anyone who looks like UB-02, but maybe they don't all look like people? Also, seeing that one resembles Lillie and another resembles Lusamine makes me wonder if Lillie is in the Aether Foundation. It seems like it would fit her. Ash going to school and wanting to "graduate like never before!" made me lol. It sounds like something a group of parents came up with as a "family friendly" plot to teach "good values".
  17. TIL about the Gympie Gympie, an extremely dangerous plant from Australia that's sting can cause "months of excruciating pain". People describe the pain of its sting as "like being burnt with hot acid and electrocuted at the same time". There was apparently an officer who shot himself after using one for toilet paper.
  18. Since you've been having this issue since V7: are you sure you're initiating the quest correctly? On the desk near where you enter, there's a note between two stacks of books and that's where the activities are listed. You have to be above the part of the table where it is to interact with it.
  19. Maybe you're thinking of island kahunas? There's the trial captains and then there's the island kahunas. Was it said that Lana and Mallow or both on the second island, or that the totem Gumshoos is part of Kiawe's trial? And 15 sounds like an expected level for the first island, although I don't think the first island has the volcano, so.
  20. A normal type totem Pokemon doesn't necessarily mean there's a normal type trial captain, as the trial captain isn't using those totem Pokemon in battle. The totem trials are related to the island challenges/obstacles, not to battling a trial captain or island kahuna. I think there's one trial captain for each island, since there are four islands and we've been shown four trial captains.
  21. I don't remember that. Where was it said they're being updated?
