1.1 has been released and the download link in the OP now leads to it. 1.1 adds the quicksave feature (press D to quicksave), and has the typing screen when naming the player. Also, like I mentioned previously, you no longer immediately wake up when choosing a starter (you talk to Litwick after now), so you have time to check the nature and IVs of your starter right away. The following bugs have been fixed in 1.1: Emily no longer breaks if you lose to her in the beginning. I made it to where the game goes on whether you win or lose. You can no longer walk on TM item balls The elevator doesn't have the nonexistent 4th and 5th floors anymore. I also added stairs to the hotel. Chikorita now doesn't disappear after beating Aretha, so you can actually obtain it Eevee can evolve into Leafeon (Leaf Stone), Glaceon (Dawn Stone), and Sylveon (Shiny Stone) now. I added the stones needed to evolve them to the obtainability list. The salespeople in the herb and berry shops can be interacted with now Emily no longer reappears in your hotel room if you re-enter after the battle Leaving the Move Tutor's house now takes you outside the Move Tutor's house instead of the Name Rater's house Light Screen no longer brings up an error message when used Starter tables, the black space in the Game Corner, the blackboard and computer in the Trainer's School, and the water and waterfall in the Cave of Resolve can't be walked through anymore. Azurill, Litwick, and Stunfisk's battle sprites don't float anymore Fairy type now has the Fairy type icon instead of Shadow. I deleted Shadow type because Shadow Pokemon aren't going to be in Spork. Wide Lines has been fixed to Wide Lens in the Game Corner prize choices Shadow Claw now has the correct number of coins listed (3500), and Rest is listed as Rest instead of Roost You can now use an Escape Rope in the Cave of Resolve The Toy Robot and Fountain Pen are now removed from your bag when you give them to the NPCs who want them I apologize for all the bugs that were in the original release. It honestly confuses me how I didn't notice some of these when I was playing through to test. The bugs in the known bugs list still are going to be fixed, I just felt it was important to get 1.1 out ASAP mainly because of the Chikorita and Eeveelution bugs. The 4th and 5th floors have been reported and fixed, but I haven't heard of someone not being able to leave the hotel. Why can't you leave? Is the exit not taking you outside?

He /kind of/ looks like this person from the characters folder (same head and hair), but the outfit doesn't completely match: Fourth is definitely Grass leader, who I think we'll face in V9

IIRC, when difficulty modes were first introduced in V5, people who already had a save file could go to a Pokemon Center and talk to someone who would change the difficulty to casual or intense.

The bear seems like one of those "gentle giant" types that's all friendship and sunshine but doesn't realize its own strength. I wonder how Disguise will function compared to Imposter and Illusion. I'm also curious about Fluffy. Maybe it'll be a special version of Fur Coat?

This is a good point. I didn't realize it at the time I was making the intro scenes, but there's not a break between choosing your starter and battling Emily. So in 1.1, I'm going to change it to where instead of automatically waking up after choosing a starter, you talk to Litwick after in order to wake up. This will let you immediately see if you like the nature and IVs. EDIT: It has been done There's not really a spork Pokemon or anything close to it, so maybe a food Pokemon? Vanilluxe would fit since the creator is an ice cream sand witch.

IIRC, a lot of people think the next leader will be Psychic. I think Psychic would make sense if we're going to Grand Dream City, but I personally don't think we'll get there in V8. The teaser said "Stop the train!", which probably means there'll be some kind of roadblock preventing us from going there. Also, V8 is a short version, and I don't think GDC would be short considering how much hype it's gotten and how important it is. So I think we'll get back on the train next episode, and I think V8's leader will be Ground.

Yeah, that was the version of 16 I downloaded.

So I found out the data folder has a file called Scripts, so I copied the one from the Gen 6 Essentials download to a spare copy of Spork on my flash drive (used for testing out things like this in case something goes wrong). This made Gen 6 abilities work, but it also screwed up the positions of the circles on the battlefield (they're way higher than they should be) and made a mess of the summary pages of Pokemon since the EV/IV screen is something I inserted and not in default Essentials (autorun was also lost because of this). Fortunately like I said this is just a spare copy used for testing things like this (which I frequently replace with a copy of the main copy) but it seems like adding Gen 6 abilities this way breaks everything else.
