People on the Showdown Main Server
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to mde2001's topic in General Discussion
Why are they even allowed to talk like that? I've never used Showdown (no interest in playing games with actual people I don't personally know) but shouldn't there be rules against saying things like that? -
Also happy to hear you're better. And those mega shinies are lovely. I like how colorful the Diancie is

Yeah, my Delphox has stolen the DR items before with Magician and it didn't matter because they had already transformed with it. I don't think Ferrothorn learns any Fire type moves, so it least it would only benefit from 1 of 2 effects of Flash Fire (not taking damage from Fire attacks). Now I'm imagining the Dimensional Rift Gyarados with Lightningrod.

If I had a dream, I might think about that. Otherwise, the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is go back to sleep.

Favorite/Least Favorite Battle Frontier Facility/Brain
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to Xiri's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Favorite Emerald facility: Battle Dome. I liked the tournament format. Favorite Emerald brain: Lucy. She's menacing and attractive. Least favorite Emerald facility: Battle Palace. I actually think it's a really neat concept on paper, it's just unbearably annoying in practice. Least favorite Emerald brain: I guess Anabel? I like her design, but she has so little personality she feels soulless. Favorite Platinum facility: Battle Roulette, just because of the design of the place. Favorite Platinum brain: Dahlia. Least favorite Platinum facility: Battle Castle. You have to spend points to heal your Pokemon. Least favorite Platinum brain: Thorton. He's boring. -
No one's ever talked to me in an elevator before, so I've never said anything. also how do you have over 1000 posts already didn't you have 600something the other day

If going by region: Kanto: Celadon City *takes over Team Rocket's hideout* Johto: Goldenrod City or Ecruteak City (doesn't matter which; I love them both and they're close to each other) Hoenn: Slateport City, with a vacation house in Lilycove Sinnoh: Hearthome City Unova: Undella Town or Humilau City (same thing with Goldenrod or Ecruteak, and I get to go through the Marine Tube ) Kalos: Laverre City Reborn: Obsidia Ward? or Agate Circus

I mentioned that I didn't have trouble with her, though. EDIT: Oh, ok. I thought you misread my comment.

I very, very rarely feel stress, so I haven't needed to come up with a way of alleviating it. I imagine singing or exercising until I'm exhausted and have no more energy would help.

People keep mentioning difficulty, but X was actually one of the hardest games for me the first time around. I battled all available trainers and was still almost constantly underleveled from the third gym onwards. At the reflection cave I was regularly losing to battle girls. I barely managed to beat Lysandre in all 3 battles, and Wulfric's Avalugg walled my whole team except Aurorus. At that point in the game (Wulfric) my team was level 48 after battling all trainers, and I raised them to level 52 before getting bored and just battling Wulfric. I turned on EXP Share when I got to Victory Road so I'd have a chance at the Elite Four, and Diantha's Mega Gardevoir was devastating. This is coming from someone who didn't have that much trouble with Whitney's Miltank.

TIL there was a Facebook glitch where one user was somehow logged in as a different user, and they were communicating through the account how to solve the problem. They ended up meeting in person and getting married because they have so much in common. http://aplus.com/a/facebook-glitch-leads-man-to-wife

I think I got mostly everything. -The S.S. Oceana has more rooms and optional things to explore now. There's more interaction with you and your mom, as well as your mom and Crescent. -Gearen City has received a major makeover with a lot of new buildings. Venam has a new habit of playing dead and asking for food. -Ren's motives are more explicit (he's angry you solved Goldenleaf's problems when he spent years trying to) -Gearen and Sheridan help requests are different. There's a hidden library where you get a book that lets you speak an ancient language, along with statues that have that language -The part where you battle Marianette is changed a lot. 1: Venam and her goons are captured, you have to free all of them. 2: Indriad threatens to sacrifice Marianette if she loses to you. They both know she can't be sacrificed. 3: There's a secret cutscene with Angie that reveals her real name is Anju and she has a kid. She was held prisoner by the maids. -Melia disguises herself as a hooded figure with the name "Emma" during the Blacksteeple part. Also, it's now Blacksteeple Castle, not Blacksteeple Prison. A lot of the scenes have changed, and it follows "Emma" interacting with Neved. It's revealed Neved has a daughter, which is why he's in Team Xen. -The Dimensional Rift Gyarados and Shadow Mewtwo fights are more reasonably winnable, but the game still goes on if you lose -The Geara battle in front of the Wispy Tower was taken out; you now only battle him inside the tower -You no longer double battle Nastasia and Ren at the backup lab, it's now just Ren. Crawli battles (loses to) Nastasia, and you now don't battle her at all at any point so far in the game. Also there's no Klinks or face-kicking. -After battling Narcissa, she has a meeting with the entire town so you get to see how they change. -The cave that goes to Route 4 is accessed through the Giratina statue in Goldenleaf Town. -You can get a "jackpot starter" from a machine in the lab -You don't battle a weird purple clone of Valarie and get taken to Blacksteeple by 2 guards. You go to the aquarium and get swarmed by "Death Wings", winged Team Xen grunts -Neo Team Xen is no longer a thing -Aelita doesn't electroshock Neved. You and Aelita double battle against him instead. -The first time you battle Melia, her team are all Normal type except Togepi

Those still don't work.

About Blake, he might not be an asshole in person like he is in the game. I read that he adopted Heather, and he and Ame tried to get her to stay on the league because they didn't think it was healthy for her to shut herself off from everything. She stopped coming eventually, then Blake quit when she did, and then Cal quit because Blake did. That one convo did seem like roleplaying to me too, which made me wonder. But from the posts I've seen on the topics from Ame, I do think most of it happened. I don't think it's odd so many people happened to know each other, since it wouldn't be unusual to tell your friends and family who share the same interests as you when you get into something they might find interesting.

Craziest event you have ever seen
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to Honchy's topic in General Discussion
The first two of these happened on the same day at the same place. I was either in New Orleans or Cleveland. I forget which. 1. At an info center, someone asked someone else "Is this the House of Blues?" The person who was asked the question licked his lips, took a sip of his coffee, and after about 10 seconds says "This is the House of Blues". He then went to the desk and the person asked if she could help him with anything. He said something that sounded like "O mar gra". I guess something about Mardi Gras? She told him she didn't understand and he said it again, she asked if he needed help finding anything and he said it again, repeat 2-4 times before he grunted and left. 2. Was approached by someone wearing a suit who was carrying a rose with a really tall stem. He gave this big speech that I don't remember much of but I remember he said "You thought I forgot about you, didn't you?" 3. Was in a place where you can get special customized food and drinks. Someone came in with guns around his waist, and when he left someone wearing a Navy Seal uniform followed him out. 4. One day when I woke up I thought "Today is Sunday and a half so I can't swim in the tuna, and I don't want to go in the lava because there are ducks in there." Also I had a strong mental image (it was what I saw when I woke up instead of my immediate surroundings) of a jar of something that looked green and carbonated. I have no idea what was going on there. -
I heard about Reborn sometime in early 2014 and it seemed awesome, but there was one specific thing about it that turned me off. I don't remember what it was now. I heard about it again in December and it sounded and looked amazing, so I did start playing with high expectations.

Sigmund joined the league because he needed to watch over their activity online, being their caretaker. That's what he said in the interview.

Touhoumon Faith & Prayer Version
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to DerxwnaKapsyla's topic in Fan-game Exposé
I've played Faith & Prayer before up to the end of the current version, and I think it's really neat with the crossover, items that replace HMs, and the new types. All the Touhoumon are so adorable. I've never played Touhou, but this game makes me want to try it. -
Idea for a signature move of Celebi, since it doesn't have one Time Travel Type: Psychic Category: Status PP: 5 Goes back in time to a previous turn of the battle. Stats, status condition, HP, etc. are changed back to what they were in that turn.

Fan Favorites you're not quite as keen on?
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to Monochrome_Complex's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
I actually don't know if I'd consider Charizard a fan favorite anymore... most of the Charizard-related comments I see nowadays are "Charizard is overrated". I like all their initial forms, but I'm kind of meh on all three Kanto starter lines. I guess the line I like most is Squirtle, but their movepool kind of leaves something to be desired for me. Infernape is also my least favorite Sinnoh starter because of mental images it used to give me of someone lying on a hospital bed covered in their bodily fluids. -
Probably Professor Birch because of the running gag of him thinking everyone and everything is a wild Pokemon that's chasing him in ORAS, and I like that he prefers fieldwork to desk work.

I think Pokemon 3D has an achievement system, but that's not made in Essentials. I'm not sure of the program that makes it, but it's way more advanced and connected to a website called Gamejolt.
