Under rated and Over rated Pokemon fan made games
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to jamesw0102's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
idk what underrated and overrated mean, but: Zeta/Omicron felt stale to me. Every city and town had the same track except for one. The rival just used Blue's sprite, but IIRC he wasn't Blue. The team leader (in Zeta at least, I'm not sure about Omicron)'s battle sprite just looked like a bald Giovanni with a blue suit instead of a black one. The challenge run idea was cool and I like the randomizer, but that's about it. I don't know how I played as far as I did because I only remember being bored. I don't like ROM hacks in general, mostly because of extremely poor grammar and sentence structure (ex: Dark Rising and Victory Fire) and constant level spikes (both of the aforementioned + a lot of others). Pokemon Sweet Version is one of the few, maybe only, one I enjoyed. I don't bother with them anymore. I mean no disrespect to the creators. I'm just not a fan of their games. -
I saw that too and assumed it was Lin. I don't actually remember what Lin looks like because we only saw her once. I just saw that and figured "Team Meteor outfit + looks female to me = Lin?"

WackyTurtle made me lol.

I've never played them before, but I really like the music from Final Fantasy games.

7th Street is reached from Lapis Ward. First you have to join Aqua or Magma gang and do some missions for them, then talk to the boss and it'll be open for you.

My Pokemon Reborn Episode 15 predictions

After Kiki dies, if you go back to the cemetery one of the tombstones will have her name on it there too. Where is this secret journal, btw? I just went to his room in the gym and interacted with the bookcases and drawers but didn't find anything. -

Fern seems like he's been built up all his life by everyone around him because he's next in line as a Gym Leader and he did good in school. He's been surrounded by yes men his entire life and he let it go to his head, and when he finally loses to you, it's a huge blow to him and he tries to play it off by making excuses about why he lost and still thinking he's better than you. That's the impression I got after beating him at the trainer's school from his speech about "You think you're cool because you're battling gym leaders? Well I can do that too. I'll show you!" It's kind of similar to how Bennett's defeat speech ends at Iollia Valley. Not that I'm justifying his actions. He pisses me off, but at the same time I laugh at him because I just imagine him desperately trying to prove himself to the player and acting tough to hide his humiliation that there are people who are better than him. His team is the easiest for me because I have type advantages against everything he uses. I would have trouble with Ludicolo if he kept it, though. Ludicolo with Rain Dish + Giga Drain + Big Root would be so annoying to deal with if you can't hit it for super effective damage. I like Cain. He's fun in a world where not so fun things happen sometimes. His team is kind of challenging for me, although like Fern I have advantages against everything. Victoria has my favorite design of the rivals. Her outfit and battle pose are badass. She lets her emotions get the better of her, but considering the school she's at, I'm assuming she'll develop if she appears again in the game. She's the only rival that hasn't incorporated other types in their team to deal with common weaknesses, which would probably be a good idea. Scraggy negates Psychic, but all of her team is weak to Flying.

What is your least favorite legendary pokemon?
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to jamesw0102's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Heatran. Looking at it makes me think of terrible screeching noises, like sharp metal object on blunt metal object contact. Also, Kyurem (not Black or White Kyurem, the plain one) looks like it has flaky skin and lost its sanity and senses as a result of doing meth everyday for a hundred years. I wish Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf weren't the exact same typing. Maybe have Uxie be Electric/Psychic, Mesprit Fire/Psychic, and Azelf Water/Psychic. -
That gate will be opened after a few more events. To progress you need to go all the way to the right of the route from where you started and then south. When you see the Bouffalant and Tauros fighting, KO the Bouffalant and you can ride the Tauros up ledges. There's one or two places where you'll need to KO a Tauros and have a Bouffalant charge into a log to get it out of the way, but you'll only need to do this once because it's a permanent solution.

Which gym leader do you think is the weakest so far?

Shelly, Luna, and Samson were the easiest for me. I 1-shotted most of their Pokemon, including the Yanmega lots of people have trouble with. -

So, you wanna play Pokemon Reborn...
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to Timber Dragon's topic in Reborn City
My team right now is Delphox, Ampharos, Sylveon, Scrafty, and Gourgeist-in-training. Yeah, sometimes they disobey and use the move anyway. When that happens, there's a chance they'll use the move successfully and a chance nothing happens and the game says "But there was no target..." There are other disobedience messages where the Pokemon don't do anything, though, and sometimes (very rarely for me, though) they take a nap. -

With the exception of a few Gym Leaders (especially Serra) and Aster & Eclipse during the last two battles, I actually haven't found it to be nightmarishly difficult like it is for a lot of people. There are specific battles that have really given me problems, and they have some excellent teams and type coverage, but team matchups and understanding how the field effects work do play a large role in how difficult an opponent will be. Then again, I have 4 Pokemon (training my 5th) and have pretty much been ignoring the level cap because being below or just barely on par with the NPCs' levels makes me feel insecure and vulnerable, and I'm willing to sacrifice complete obedience for self-confidence. So I probably take out Pokemon quicker than most people and take less damage per hit. The four I've gone through the game with so far are at 82-83, which is also where I intend to get my new team member (Gourgeist) before the next episode. -

Which gym leader do you think is the strongest so far?
Ice Cream Sand Witch replied to jamesw0102's topic in Reborn City
I had the most difficulty with Serra. Cloyster takes out a large amount of health with its 5 hit moves (it actually brought Sylveon into red health), and I could one shot it if not for Focus Sash and Ultra Potion. The only Pokemon I had that was faster than it was weak to Rock Blast. Avalugg has low special defense, but 2/3 of my special attackers, who were also the ones with super effective moves against it, were weak to Earthquake. Lapras is Lapras. When I won, I had just Scrafty left with 9 HP. Other ones that were notably difficult for me: Florinia (solely because of Cradily), Shade (because of type disadvantages), and Randomus (because of Gardevoir and bad strategy/timing on my part).
