This happened in alpha testing too. Some control switches and variables used in events were changed in V11, so older files aren't able to continue with some events that they should be able to, because they have the older switches and variables activated which are no longer being used. I'm pretty sure those were fixed in alpha though, unless the uploading/storage sites didn't recognize the changes, which is something that's happened before more than once.

The one at Valor Mountain was moved to the part of Aquamarine Cave where the lighthouse is.

In the hotel there's a note that leads you to money (1500 IIRC); the tree you interacted with might've had the note. The money is in a chair in one of the rooms. If you're asking about the "there were so many sidequests some got pushed back for V11", I'm not sure how much detail I'm allowed to go into, and I don't know many specifics about which quests will be started or continued in which version. Just that Jan said in the dev server that there were an overwhelming amount of quests and some would be pushed back to V12 because V11 was already a massive amount of work and content. The Ana/missing children quest was mentioned as one of those when it was asked about. The were also some Jan considered saving for V12, but ultimately decided to include in V11

You can regrow the tree by interacting with it again. This reverts Route 2 back to normal.

Is the Silver Ring in your Items or Key Items pocket? In E16, the Silver Ring was changed from being an item to a key item. Silver Rings obtained pre-E16 will no longer have any effect on Corey's Pokemon. If you upload your save file, someone will be able to give you the key item Silver Ring. From what I've heard, med school lasts a lot longer than most other degrees/programs, and is pretty rigorous. If there's a mistake, it could lead to a patient getting severely injured or worse, so they need to make sure people going into that profession have a lot of training and know what they're doing. I wonder if/when Caz comes back, he'll apply some of what he learned in med school in Desolation scenes.
