  1. The water around the bridge in Aliora was already included in the known bugs list in the first post, though I didn't know about being able to go into the trees through there too. Edit: the trees seem to not be passable normally, just when you're walking through the water and cliff, so I think it's connected. The tree cut in half is a map transition. The player isn't supposed to see that far into it but it's an extra map so the player doesn't see black space, as I often forgot to account for that when making ep 1's maps.
  2. Thanks for all the tile error reports! -The one in Aliora Meadow seems like another instance of "random tile that can't be walked through even though there's nothing there" like in Gellene Town -fixed the ones in the Berry Shop and Forest Opening -the ones in the Forest of Feeling are known but I forgot to put them in the known bugs list. Normally my solution for tiles that are passable even though they're set to non-passable in the tileset is add an event with the graphic over the tile (which is how I fixed the Berry Shop and Forest Opening ones). But that doesn't seem to work with water tiles and with some of the trees in the Forest of Feeling.
  3. Aliora Meadow can be sunny sometimes. When setting weather chances for a map, I don't believe it's possible to set it differently for day and night unless I'm remembering wrong or didn't see the option.
  4. You'd just update straight from 16 to 18.
  5. I finally figured it out when looking at its event pages just now! On the event page where the player has battled Christmas Slowking but is playing as someone else, there's no overworld sprite for Christmas Slowking. I can't believe I didn't notice this when I checked before. This has now been fixed for the next/final reupload. The final reupload won't be for a while, and there's not another point of interaction for Christmas Slowking, so if you send me your save file I can activate Christmas Slowking's panel for you. Alternatively, this might work. It's my copy of the Norall City map. This goes in the Data folder of the game folder; when asked if you want to replace, say yes. EDIT: Actually nevermind on it being fixed, I just checked the map myself and this happens now: ...that might've been why I didn't have a sprite there in the first place. And then I didn't realize it wouldn't show up. I guess the problem is the layout of the event. I'll have to change it. It seems like the only solution for now would be for you to send me your save file. EDIT2: I added the overworld sprite to the wrong event (the one standing in front of the cave instead of next to it). But Christmas Slowking is showing up for me. Have you tried playing as Sierran (the female character) through switching back to human from one of the other Holiday Pokemon and seeing if that works? Map182.rxdata
  6. I forgot to add that to the known bugs list, but I thought this only happened with Halloween Espurr. That's concerning that it's happening with more player characters...if you change players, are you able to interact with Christmas Slowking through any of them?
  7. Am still working on nicknames, but I made a lot of progress yesterday. Only 6 are left now: Raymond, Lee, Wendy, Isabelle, Rania, and Kayla. I've done all the team changes I'm going to do though. Originally I was going to put the team changes and nickname themes in the same post when I was finished, but I'll do the team changes first because the nickname theme post is already going to be long. Jim: his team is now static throughout the game instead of having a few differences in each battle. He still has Staraptor and Girafarig. The other four are Bibarel, Heliolisk, Alolan Raticate, and Sawsbuck. Ashley: Emboar -> Alolan Marowak Aretha: Gourgeist/Decidueye -> Cacturne (used in both gym and postgame battles) Chelsea: Whiscash and Jellicent -> Corsola and Lapras Lee: his team is the same but I switched his mega from Blaziken to Medicham Carol: Togekiss -> Slurpuff Alumia: Aegislash -> Stakataka Arnalda: Poliwrath -> Crabominable Triston: Wishiwashi, Jellicent, Barbaracle, and Kingdra -> Pelipper, Poliwrath, Wash Rotom, and Golisopod Seamus: Shiftry -> Victreebel Peach: Alakazam -> Beheeyem Agne: Beheeyem and Minior -> Bisharp and Naganadel Kayla: Talonflame -> Meloetta Pirouette Ceolis: his entire team changed. His new team is Forretress, glitch Sylveon, Milotic, Togekiss, Meloetta Aria, and Mega Alakazam. Guardian: Vivillon -> Pheromosa Ivan: Corsola -> Slowking ICSW: Carbink and Mega Abomasnow -> Glaceon and Mega Diancie (DDDL team is staying the same but using a different nickname theme) Sometimes I changed characters' team members in order to have Pokemon that match the nickname theme better, and sometimes I just thought a Pokemon they had didn't fit their personality and switched their team around because of that. In most cases it was both. Some notes on specific changes and the reasons behind them: Jim: I wanted him to have all dual-typed Pokemon. I also felt like his gym team was kind of disorganized and didn't really suit him for the most part. Sawsbuck also has another reason for being there, to match his wife's Deerling. Carol: When doing her nicknames I thought "Delicia doesn't have Slurpuff anymore and Carol's parents are bakers, so why not give Carol Slurpuff?" It fit better with her nickname theme too since I couldn't think of one for Togekiss that matched the theme. Alumia: I've really wanted to give her Stakataka for a while Kayla: Originally I was going to switch Volcarona, since the rest of her team are physical attackers that use Swords Dance. But I liked the idea of her sharing a Pokemon with her sister, and aesthetically Volcarona fits Kayla well. Meloetta can't learn Swords Dance, but since Ceolis has Meloetta now and those two are the founders of the league, I thought it'd be cool if they shared a Pokemon too. Plus Meloetta Pirouette is Kayla's style. Ceolis: all of his Pokemon are shiny. Some of them use Rainlove's shiny sprites that she's been posting in the Creative Works section, which she's given people permission to use and I've PMed her about it too. For Forretress and Alakazam I'll be making shiny sprites for them myself. Shiny Forretress is going to look like a disco ball. EDIT: Actually, I decided to PM Rainlove asking if she'd be willing to do the disco ball Forretress. ICSW: Mega Diancie was always the mega I wanted to use, but originally I decided on Abomasnow because I didn't know how people would feel about characters having legendaries (especially a self-insert). In Natalie's case there aren't really any other bat Pokemon options (and Emolga is already a stretch; it's a flying squirrel with some batlike characteristics), so I thought people would understand her having Lunala. For Peach, since Lunala is used I thought someone could have Solgaleo too. And for Ivan having Manaphy and Blueberry having Phione, the situation with their legendary status was explained in the story. But I decided to just do it . I already established through the game's dialogue that multiple Diancie (and Meloetta) exist in Spork. I wouldn't give a legendary to a character that there's only one of like Mewtwo or the Weather Trio, but I'm fine with doing it for ones that have more than one of their species. P.S.: Before Gen 7 I had no idea what to do for Natalie's sixth team member, so I'm glad Gen 7 gave us another bat.
  8. All the sprites can be viewed in the game folder. The Pokemon sprites are in Graphics -> Battlers and the trainer sprites are in Graphics -> Characters. edit: ninja'd
  9. You also get relationship points with Victoria, Cain, Cal, Taka, Anna, and Shade, along with some story differences later on in the game.
  10. I'm glad you're enjoying the game! The above poster is correct about Shroomish and Skarmory's locations; also there's a notepad file in the game folder called obtainablepokemon that lists where all the Pokemon can be found. (although it seems like Skarmory's location is listed as Attack Room 2 when it should be Defense Room 2...I've fixed that now)
  11. The walking animation directions of Espurr's overworld sprites are in a different order than most other overworld sprites. The base overworld sprite is from Reborn and I recolored it orange and black. I'm not sure if there are other Espurr overworld sprites out there that are in the normal animation order. I'm not sure if I'd want to replace them even if I did though because I think it's funny.
  12. Decided to spend the evening and night adding the new Data Vault entries for Spork and DDDL while they were all in my mind so I didn't forget about them later. So those are finished now. Now I'll probably focus on finishing the nicknames, then return to the idol activities. Current nickname theme progress: the ones remaining are Raymond, Dylan, Lee, Wendy, Isabelle, Mulder (currently working on), Seamus, Peach, Agne (need to switch Beheeyem and Minior for Pokemon that could fit the planetary theme), Quinn, Lemon, Blueberry, Rania, and Kayla. I also changed Orange's nickname theme this morning. For some of those I have themes in mind, and for some I have no idea yet. The amount of time a character's nicknames can take ranges from a few minutes to a few days. Some are easier to come up with themes for than others, and some themes I need to do research for because I don't know much about the topic. But I've been having a lot of fun with them.
  13. The past few days my sleep schedule has been: taking several naps from early morning - afternoon, then another nap in the evening/early night and staying awake for all of the night afterwards. But the times I am awake are eventful and productive, and I'm feeling hopeful about the rest of the week.
  14. I like Tsareena, I used her in my Moon and Ultra Moon playthroughs! I love Trop Kick as a move too. Steenee is my favorite from the line though. Z-moves were originally going to be available in Spork; I even helped beta test Reborn's z-move system. But when I tried to add them to Spork I got a syntax error and was too shy/embarrassed to ask for help >///<
  15. I'm happy the error is solved now! You'll get the Mega Ring as part of the story between the 15th and 16th gyms. For future developments, here are some announcement posts if you're interested! 16. I've had problems with the editor before when using it to edit trainer data. Sometimes when I used it, it would delete some trainers from the trainers.txt PBS file and cause an error when loading the game because some trainers in the game were deleted. I eventually stopped using the editor after experiencing this a few times and just used the PBS files. Since editing trainer data deleted trainers, maybe editing Pokemon data deleted some Pokemon or info related to Pokemon for you. I'm going to send you the pokemon.txt file and we can see if this fixes the issue. In the Spork folder there's a sub-folder called PBS; place this file in there and when asked if you want to replace the existing file, say yes. EDIT: nevermind, it seems like Groniack fixed the issue while I was posting this XD Thanks for helping out with this. removed pokemon.txt file from post since Groniack fixed the file and it seems that wasn't the issue oh and @Princess Titania you asked if there were any updates. I'm currently working on a final reupload to Spork that will include the player joining an idol group with the fruit-based characters, an expansion of Ocean Coast, all characters having nicknamed Pokemon, Enigma Shot U is revamping the maps, and there'll be some new sidequests. It won't be ready for a while though.
  17. I guess we'll have to wait for Princess Titania to respond then. Or maybe @groniack might know more about the issue? He's been very helpful in the Spork thread with solving scripting-related errors, both for other users and for me. I'm sorry that I couldn't help more. I hope the issue can be solved somehow.
  18. Now that you mention it, I have no idea tbh. If the game crashes because Alakazam has moves it doesn't learn, wouldn't it just crash for you after you redownload the game? The only reason I could think of off the top of my head that redownloading worked in the other case is that maybe Princess Titania edited Flareon to learn Earthquake at a higher level than their Flareon was currently at, so the Flareon hadn't actually learned the move. @Princess Titania if you're still here on the site, would you able to offer any details you remember that could help us?
  19. It seems like we posted at the same time XD I just edited my last post, but I found the conversation and redownloading the game worked for the other person. Maybe that will work here too? All Pokemon are catchable, yes. For Mewtwo, there's a notepad file in the game folder named legendarysidequests that gives details for where and how to catch all the legendaries. For Mewtwo, the marblelocations notepad file might also be helpful.
  20. I got the error when loading your file too. This is interesting because with the other person, I didn't get the error. I'm going to try to find the conversation in the Spork thread where the other user had the error and see if there's any details I'm not remembering that'd be helpful for solving this. Edit: @Enora For this person, redownloading the game worked.
  21. I'm not sure why editing data like learnsets gives people errors, but I'll make a note in the bug reporting thread recommending against doing it so that hopefully it doesn't happen to anyone else in the future. In the other person's case, IIRC they ended up fixing it on their own, but then got another error after editing game data again. I think they eventually solved it, but I don't think they explained how they did it. If by "is it not fixable" you mean the issue with your file, I'm doing my best to help you with it. The link I provided in my last post will explain where your save file is located (again, the guide is for Reborn but it works with all RPG Maker fangames). Once you've read that, you can upload your save file in the save file troubleshooting thread and I'll see if I can replicate and/or fix the error. EDIT: moved convo to the save file troubleshooting thread
  22. There was another user who had errors after editing data. IIRC they edited Flareon's levelup learnset. Here's a guide on how to find your save file. This is for Reborn but it also works with Spork and all other fangames made using RMXP and Essentials.
  23. I looked up the line mentioned in the error and it seems to have something to do with maps and wild encounters? That's as much as I can guess since this error hasn't been reported before to my memory and I have zero coding knowledge. A few questions: 1. Are you playing on Windows or Mac? 2. What was the last thing you did the last time you played the game? 3. Can you post your save file in the save file troubleshooting thread? I'll see if the same happens to me when I load your file.
  24. Added progress sections at the end of the first post for the final reuploads of Spork and DDDL. Idol Activities Part 1 is everything from the formation of Smoothie up to making the PV Part 2 is everything that comes after that, including exploring the new area with Smoothie and the song afterwards based on your experiences there The Data Vault is being expanded for Spork and DDDL because there's trivia and background info I forgot to put there for both games. One example is what Delicia's role was going to be in early planning stages (Steffi and Yoru know this already). Also, I mentioned in one of the rooms about Jim's original planned gym design, and that entry's been removed now that Enigma made it a reality. Other/Misc. Updates = all other small quests and features added around the region. This includes the nature changer (thanks again to Cassie for adding this in) as well as the legendary quizzes mentioned above. I'd like to add some sidequests for characters that don't get as much screentime. I had a hard time coming up with a nickname theme for Angela because outside of what she does at the aviary, nothing is known about her at all and she has very few appearances. I did eventually decide on one and incorporated that into a sidequest for her, which is going to be available early on. At the moment I'm kind of bouncing between multiple different things. The past couple weeks I've mainly been working on nickname themes but I've also done some idol activities, some of the new Data Vault entries, and a few misc. updates for both Spork and DDDL.
  25. I was walking home from somewhere when a barrier appeared, sucked me in and took me someplace else. There were three people there with guns. They said they would shoot me and then make a song about it. Before they could shoot me, though, someone started to sing and they were knocked out. "In West Philadelphia born and raised, on the playground where I spent most of my days..." Will Smith appeared seemingly out of nowhere. After singing the opening to the Fresh Prince theme song, he took a piece of cheese out of his pocket, ate it and disappeared.
