  1. Karrablast can be found on Route 1. I believe you can encounter them at any time of day. I found Zorua for the first time, but I can't seem to find it the second time. I've interacted with every Pokemon on every map as far as I know, unless there are others besides Combee/Volbeat & Illumise (and Murkrow but that's a different sidequest) who show up in the overworld at specific times of day. Would anyone know Zorua's second disguise/location?
  2. Radomus is the 8th leader. Luna is the 9th.
  3. I'm back to working on episode 6. As I said in a recent post, the Mega Ring being obtained is the next thing I plan to show when I get to that point. But before that, I cleaned up the opening post a bit and would also like to clarify a few things about Spork that I haven't before. Starting with what I changed in the opening post (this post explains everything so there's no need to reread the OP): Updated the known bugs list for the first time in 85 years. Bugs added were: -Toxic doesn't have 100% accuracy when used by a Poison type -Purify is ???? It works when taught as a level up move, but with the event Pyukumuku that has it already due to the level it's received at, Purify displays as a Normal type move with no name or info. I re-upload a lot with bug fixes and other changes, so the bugs under Known Bugs are mostly ones I don't know how to fix at the moment. What before said "Hidden Power changer" now has a more accurate description: "-An NPC who can teach any type of Hidden Power to a Pokemon (available at an area between the 7th and 8th gym)" Hidden Power changer made it sound like he'd change the type of Hidden Power you already have, which isn't how he works. Added more details about the Battle Frontier: there will be five facilities total, with the Tower and Factory being two of them while the other three are new. They also won't work exactly like the battle facilities from the main series, where you battle x number of trainers and then battle the Frontier Brain. Since the Battle Factory has never worked in any version of Essentials (that's something I learned a few months ago when browsing the Essentials section of Pokecommunity), I wouldn't be able to make it exactly like the official series, and I like the way I'm going to do it more anyway. It's hard to really give details about that without going into specifics for each facility, since they all work differently (Factory and Tower are more battle-oriented while some of the others have more of a focus on exploration). It was already mentioned there's not a level cap, but I also added that there are no field effects either. Instead of mentioning death not existing only as a small note to clarify why the Pokedex entries say what they do, I added this under the story section: "The story is more lighthearted than most fangames as well as the canon games. Death does not exist here. That doesn't just mean that no characters will die, it also means death literally isn't something that happens to people or Pokemon." There are other noteworthy ways this universe works, not all of which will be explicitly mentioned in the game, but I'll go ahead and mention more here: -physically, the aging process stops around the 30s-40s. People don't become weaker or lose some of their functions as they age. The character who looks the oldest is Raymond, which is probably around the oldest someone can look. People stop aging at different points; for example Ashley and Kayla were among the first humans to come to Ceolis but physically and mentally Ashley is 17 and Kayla is 23. -children are made through tubes instead of carried in the stomach. I'm not sure if more than one person is required or if someone can have a child just by wanting to have one and being able to handle the responsibility. (it's physically impossible for someone who can't handle the responsibility of raising a child to have one, though that also doesn't mean parents are perfect people who never make mistakes either) Some other bodily inconveniences also don't exist like needing to use the bathroom (which makes Chelsea's Butterfree pun not make sense by the universe's logic and I'll probably change that at some point) or the menstrual cycle. -since death doesn't exist, that means some events from the canon games are altered. Graveyards don't exist, and the Pokemon Tower was always a radio tower. The Marowak wasn't a ghost that Team Rocket killed. It was an Alolan Marowak that got separated from its child, and being in an unfamiliar environment didn't help its mood. -Arceus didn't create the universe. It did hatch from an egg a very long time ago, but researchers assume its parents are also Arceus(es?). No one knows how the universe was formed, and it's not a topic that's going to be discussed in-game. Giratina wasn't banished to the Distortion World, instead it prefers to live there. -meat exists, but it grows naturally. Milk does come from Miltank and probably other Pokemon too. -Ghost-types aren't the souls of people or Pokemon. They're kind of their own classification of beings.
  4. Ame said that maybe we'll get some action with them, which doesn't necessarily mean we'll be able to catch them. I believe it's actually been confirmed before that all legendaries are postgame. "Get action" may mean like the glitch Mewtwo situation where we battle one but don't catch it, or it could mean one will make an appearance without being captured or battled at all. There's also the word "maybe" to take into account there.
  5. Speaking as a mod, the general policy is one thread per fangame. I've actually considered merging all of your threads into one before, but some of your topics could be discussions of their own related to more than just your game specifically, so I wasn't sure if that was the correct action. Speaking as a member, I agree with the forum's one thread per fangame policy. I think it's cleaner that way, and I voted for having one thread with all topics for that reason.
  6. There's already a Titania wallpaper. http://www.rebornevo.com/index.php?/pr/wallpaper/titania/
  7. I've mostly finished the prologue. All I have left to do is find the Zorua. I enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to future releases. Some thoughts I had when playing: -I really like the music, especially the track that plays in the school. And the Pokemon Center track also fits it well. I forget the name of it, but I remember it plays in Kirby and Smash Bros between stages in certain modes. -For a prologue, there's a lot to do. Not only is there a decent amount of content after the gym battle, there are plenty of sidequests. -The credits file mentions to let you know if you're missing anyone. The Sorceress sprite seems to be the Hex Maniac sprite I use in Spork, which was made by someone on Deviantart named KinectedWires. -Ceolis was mentioned -I like the concept of the Gemini Shop. In addition to it being a good incentive for players to explore everywhere, it can also work as a reminder for what's left to do. Some bugs I found: -I'm able to walk through the walls in the school, and IIRC in Caesar's restaurant too -Trying to pick any kind of berry crashes the game. -I'm playing as female but during the first conversation with Kewon there was a part where I had the male player's portrait when I was speaking. There was also a scene where I had Michael's portrait at one point, though I forget which one specifically. I think it was just after escaping from the frog mafia. -When entering some maps, I got a pop up error about an incorrect chunk value with the Rift floor. This happened in the school and most other indoor maps. It actually didn't happen originally, but once it started, it persisted throughout the playthrough. The error didn't crash the game and the game continued after exiting from it.
  8. The process from E17 onwards will be this:
  9. I'd be a TV reporter or article writer who makes puns about everything happening around Reborn. "Team Meteor's plan to destroy the Neo Circuit Plant blew up in their faces!" "Since Agate City is closed off due to a strange sleeping phenomenon, everyone is clowning around at the circus" "With Adrienn's help, the city has been Reborn!"
  10. I've pinned this thread so people will have quick access to all of the articles.
  11. This picture is from a while ago (before I got to the 13th gym battle I think) so my levels are a little higher now, but here's mine:
  12. Re-uploaded with the following fixes and changes -fixed wrong mountain tiles on one of the cliffs in Virima City that allowed the player to walk through it -fixed typo in Snivy's event where what was supposed to say "The Snivy" said "The Shiny" -added a mega stone location list -added Abomasite to Norall Mountain I originally wasn't going to do a mega stone location list until episode 6 when the Mega Ring is actually obtainable, but I'm losing track of which ones I've put in the game and where they are, so I need a list to remind me. Hence adding Abomasite, which I intended to place in Norall Mountain to begin with. For all I know, it may have already been in the game and I just didn't remember where it was, but it wasn't in my inventory so I assume it wasn't in the game? Speaking of which, the player obtaining the Mega Ring is the next screenshot/update I plan to show. The last time I worked on episode 6 was actually a few weeks ago, which is why the "Future Episode Progress" section of the first post has been stagnant for a while. I'm going to get back into it soon, though. I'm almost up to the 15th gym battle. There's only one story event between the 14th and 15th gym, but it's a long one because it involves almost every character in the game. If you've made it to the end of episode 4, you know what event I'm referring to.
  13. I could be wrong but I don't think mods have the ability to unarchive? I don't see it anywhere under moderation options when I'm in archived threads. I think only admins can do so.
  14. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! It's always interesting to see someone play through and give their thoughts. The main page actually says 12th gym. It's possible you mixed it up with the "Future Episode Progress" section? Episode 5, which will go to the 14th gym, is finished aside from sprites. Pyukumuku can have two abilities: Innards Out and Unaware.
  15. Meda is not the current Normal leader. Jim is, whose badge you already have. Meda is the Ceolis League's first Normal leader. It even mentions in one of the screenshots you posted that she's resigned. The reason Sea Stars use Staryu as a base is because it's the closest fit for them. Sea Stars are from a short story I wrote 5 years ago and they're pretty much sentient starfish (sea star is the scientific name for starfish). I imagine they don't look like Staryu exactly, but I wasn't really sure what could be done with them. I probably should've put a disclaimer in the opening post about this way back when episode 1 was released, since I completely understand the disappointment (and I'm surprised you're the first person to mention it). I gave Palletite the option of whether to revamp them or just work on the human sprites, and they seem to have chosen to focus solely on the human sprites, which I'm okay with because non-human sprites are probably a lot more difficult to work with and Palletite is extremely busy with IRL issues. I apologize if I came off as rude when I explained Meda was the first Normal leader in the league's history and not the current. That wasn't my intention, but I feel like that's how it came out. It's just clearly explained through the dialogue that she was the original and isn't the Normal leader anymore, so I'm not really sure where the confusion comes from. :S
  16. My inspiration for the first dream sequence with Gina was this thread I made: http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/17305-what-if-a-reptilian-ghost-girl-who-doesnt-trust-dr-phil-asked-you-for-a-cheeseburger/ The second dream sequence was done from scratch as I was making the scene, with the exception of Litwick's appearance which was always planned. The inspiration for the third dream sequence was another post I made on the forums, but I don't remember which thread it was in. What I remember about the story is that I was making a cup of coffee that came to life in an elevator, then I either fell asleep or lost consciousness and woke up in a rock paper scissors tournament where I lost in the last round because someone cheated. The coffee cup, a kangaroo, and some other being that I don't remember who I substituted Rayquaza for in the game proved I cheated, so we went again and I won. We would go on to have many more adventures together. I could've sworn I swapped Clefable for Aromatisse on Pandora's team...I changed it to Aromatisse because it fits Pandora more, since Palletite gave her a perfume theme. Maybe I switched it in the second battle but forgot to do so in the first? EDIT: It appears that is what happened. Fixed now.
  17. I haven't heard from Palletite since May 14. SPB (Legend Mode) was the one having internet issues, while Palletite (sprites) was having IRL issues.
  18. Thanks for mentioning that the Emily battle in Weather Wonderland is skippable. I didn't know it was. I accidentally left some openings to walk through between the trees and I've fixed that now. About the vitamin situation: someone on Youtube (whose channel was taken down) said something similar, that it was anticlimactic. Personally, them facing no punishment is the way I prefer it to end, since that part of the story was basically formed from a "wow, vitamins are really expensive" thought I've had since Gen 3. I don't really consider what they were doing to be bad, just probably not the best way to be going about it. It was only really borderline illegal to begin with since selling products isn't against the law, otherwise there wouldn't be any vendors at all in the region and you could only buy from Pokemarts. The only real issue is that only the Department Store sells them (for money; the Battle Frontier offers them for BP), while the cheaper vitamins were also being sold in the same city, so it could hurt the Department Store's business. If this was happening in a city that wasn't Olidroll, there probably wouldn't even be an issue. I do have a different criticism of it, though: there was originally going to be more to it. I was going to show the court scene. I don't remember why I ended up not doing it, and I don't think I really have an excuse. On one hand I don't actually know from an eventing perspective how to have the game show a scene that doesn't involve the player (like the Grand Hall interrogation of the Meteor grunt in Reborn), but on the other, all it would take is just looking at an event like that in RPG Maker to figure it out. On one hand I don't know how court trials actually work, but on the other, I shouldn't need to worry about making it seem "realistic" in a world where creatures like Pokemon exist, and going even further, Spork is a world where death doesn't exist and the aging process stops physically around the 30s-40s, so it follows different rules than what players are familiar with. I could have a rule that in Spork, everyone has to wear a purple mask to court if I wanted to. The court scene is something I really should go back and add. My opinion of that part of the story is that I had a neat idea but the execution could've been a lot better.
  19. I checked and it happened to me too. Then I downloaded 3 and a Half and the same happens there. I'm not sure why it would be happening, since I don't believe I've touched any of the moves since the issue with Baneful Bunker back in April. From what I can tell in the moves.txt file and the MoveEffects script section, everything is coded correctly, and I know Purify was working at some point. In the meantime I'd recommend not using it because I don't know what will happen if you do. There's a character in ep 4 with a Pyukumuku that has Purify, so I re-uploaded replacing Purify with Recover on his team in case that would cause issues. EDIT: I tried giving myself a level 20 Pyukumuku and training it to level 21 and Purify seems to work there. Strange.
  20. The Toy Robot is for a sidequest in Aliora City (in one of the houses, specifically). The species are Sea Stars. Ceolis is the former Champion, but he retired. About the BCC: Team Portal didn't take it over; rather the BCC was a front for Team Portal from the beginning.
  21. I tried my hand at updating the overworld sprites for Tomas and Blueberry to match the color schemes for their trainer sprites, and I think it went decently! These are still temporary until Palletite returns, but I'm okay with considering this an official release. If you've already gotten the 12th badge in the unofficial release, this does not add any new content. Additionally, the Scale Badge now has cybershell12's design.
