Shadow Sketches replied to Jory's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
No update and no pokemon make Shadow something something Haha it's too bad we weren't able to get an update today. But then again snow is a foreign concept to me so I personally don't know how big the problems it causes are, so take your time and try not to get buried under the snow -

"Routes of Hazzard"- Alecks Alecks felt proud of his partner! Even though the Patrat had tried to evade the attack, Apollo still managed to land some blows on the little rat and left it with a burn. The duo saw the Patrat struggling now, they knew he wouldn't be able to last long and this surged both of them with confidence. "Alright Apollo, send this rat flying back home! Use Ember once more!" Apollo's eyes locked on to the Patrat, this was it and he knew it. He'd show this rat he picked the wrong Chimchar to mess with! "Chiiiiiiiiiim!" with a loud shout, Apollo let out bolts of flames from his mouth that sped through the air to finish off his foe.
-
"Route of Hazzard!"- Alecks Alecks cursed as he watched the Patrat evade Apollo's attack, the move had looked so cool too, it was a shame it didn't hit. But the Patrat managed to get himself in a good position and was now charging straight towards Apollo. Aleck's eyes widened as he watched the little rat head straight towards his partner."Apollo! Watch out!" Apollo looked back towards the charging Patrat, his body bracing for the impact. But Roy seemed to come to the rescue and sweep the rat of it's feet....unfortunately Roy wasn't a very good knight in shining armor and the Patrat's momentum still kept it heading straight towards his target. Alecks winced as Apollo yelped and took the hit, the impact sending both him and the Patrat flying. Apollo landed on the ground with a thud and rolled a few times before being able to stop himself. "Uh...well, thanks for trying Katie!" Alecks called over to her, at least the Patrat seemed to have taken damage from the impact as well. Though the annoyed Apollo quickly jumped back up on his feet and growled at Roy. He obviously still saw some sort of rivalry between them and still a little mad from when the Timburr refused to fight him. But this wasn't the time for him to fight with Roy, he would show him how much stronger he was than him. This fight will prove to everyone who was the best of the bunch, Apollo glared back at the Patrat. A new passion lit in his eyes, which Alecks quickly took notice of. Alecks smirked and pumped his fist into the air, "That's right Apollo, we're not done yet! Finish off that rat and use Ember!" At the order of his trainer, Apollo let out bolts of flames from his mouth that sped straight towards the Patrat that had tackled him.

Route 1- Alecks Alecks watched as the Patrat Apollo hit got back up. Apollo sneered at their foe, obviously liking an opponent that got back up and proved a challenge. Though they had both heard the shrill whistle, neither of them knew for sure what it meant until the Patrats received their backup. Instead of being intimidated though, the two partners looked ready for their challenge. This was going to be a tough battle, but luckily he wasn't alone. Alecks looked back and saw the others already doing their best to hold the Patrats off. A confident smile appeared on Aleck's face as he noticed Jack's pokemon Leer the Patrats. "Nice job Jack, now time to finish the job!" Both Alecks and Apollo looked towards the Patrat that had gotten back up, already injured from Apollo's attack and now weakened by the Leer. "All right Apollo, time to finish him off, use Scratch!" Apollo charged forward towards the Patrat, his hand extended as he ran. Once in range, Apollo swung and tried to rake at his foe.

Route 1- Alecks Hearing the distressed driver's story got both Aleck's and Apollo pumped up. They may have lost their first battle but they still got stronger because of it, now it was time to show their strength. And Alecks had to admit the woman's story moved him, after all, who on earth would steal someone else's hat!? His question was quickly answered as six Patrats jumped out of the nearby bushes to surround them. Alecks wasn't very surprise to hear that wild Pokemon don't always play fair, but that didn't stop Apollo from jumping down from his trainer's shoulders and land nimbly on the ground. "Chim!" He growled intimidatingly at the opposing Patrat in front of him. Apollo looked back at Alecks, both of them looked at each other and nodded with a smirk on their faces. They both were ready for this, Apollo was more determined than ever to win. "All right Apollo, we won't let them anywhere near the truck, use Flame Wheel on the nearest Patrat!" Apollo somersaulted forward into the air and opened his mouth to release flames from it, the flames covered his body as he somersaulted forward until it looked like a wheel of flame was speeding straight towards the nearest Patrat.

[OOC] Pokemon: Luminous Dawn
Shadow Sketches replied to Jory's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Now that we have move tokens, how exactly do we use them in the rp? I know you get moves out of them but how do we show that our pokemon learned the move? Do we just add it to their move list? -
[OOC] Pokemon: Luminous Dawn

Aw, so the rp won't continue this weekend? That's a little disappointing since I don't have a holiday to keep myself busy! xD Seriously though, have fun and I look forward to continuing it when you get back. -
Alecks- Route 1 Entrance- Nuvema Town After Alecks had been able to heal his fallen comrade, he let Apollo out of his ball just to make sure he was all right. Apollo responded by jumping on his trainer's head as he monkeyed around. Alecks sighed but was at least happy his friend was back to normal from their fight. After he managed to calm Apollo down, Apollo refused to back into the ball and instead stayed on his trainer's shoulder. Without arguing much, Alecks followed the others until they arrived at the Route 1 entrance. Alecks looked around at the others for a moment, this seemed almost a bit too cheesy for his taste. But he didn't want to let down or upset Bianca and her bubbly personality. So he stepped up with the others, standing beside them as Apollo looked around at their surroundings. He couldn't seem to sit still, but Alecks didn't really mind. "Well, let's just get started then! I hate having to be patient." He smiled at the others, his excitement boiling as their journey stood in front of them.
-
Outside- Aleks Alecks watched as Professor Oak went back into the lab, he almost didn't want him to go, he would have liked to hear more of his stories and about the other trainer. The one he called a prodigy... he hoped Alecks would be able to meet that trainer one day. Alecks hoped that he and Apollo would grow strong enough to be remembered as prodigies as well. He wanted to leave a mark on the world, he wanted to climb his way up to the Elite Four and beyond, no matter the challenges that lay ahead of him. He knew that he and Apollo would overcome any challenge, they connected in a level above just trainer and pokemon, they connected as partners. He vowed then that they would both get stronger and make Professor Oak and everyone else think of them as legends as they were did with the other trainer, hopefully getting a chance of battling the trainer prodigy when the time was right. Alecks looked down at the small, mysterious pouch the Professor had given him "When the time's right huh?". He closed his hand around it and held it determinedly. He put the small pouch carefully in his bag and started to walk back towards the lab where the others had gathered. This was only the start of his and Apollo's journey, and he looked forward to showing the world their true potential. But first, he needed to get his buddy healed up.
-
Outside- Professor Oak and Alecks "Professor...Oak?" Alecks thought for a minute, he was sure he had hear the name before. He wasn't very good at remembering things at times but perhaps this was a person that his sister has mentioned to him at one point or another? Or perhaps he's heard about him from school somewhere? Either way, the Professor seemed nice enough so perhaps he'd get to know more about him later on. "Huh? A pokedex? Yea I have one right here..." he took out his black pokedex from his bag and showed it to the Professor. "It's supposed to be an older model, but it seems cool enough to me." He replied as he was turning the pokedex around in his hand, inspecting it almost as much as the Professor was.
-
Outside- ??? and Alecks Alecks shook his head a last time to clear it before uncrossing his arms and putting his head up. He gave the old timer a smile and shook his hand "The world's always changing, but isn't that what makes things so interesting? You never know what can happen next!" He laughed with him a little, out of politeness and a little embarrassment. "What's your name?"
-
Alecks and ??? Huh? A boy or a girl?, Alecks thought to himself, suddenly feeling very self conscious about the fact he looked so much like his twin sister. They had always gotten comments about how much they resembled each other since they were twins, but he never thought that he looked so much like her that he looked like a girl! He felt a blush creep over his whole face as he struggled to answer for a second "A-a-a-a-a.....g-girl?! Look, just because my twin's a girl doesn't mean I look like a girl!!!" His voice just seemed to keep stuttering every time words came out, the sudden image of him in his' sister's outfits popping into his head. He almost felt like running into the nearest woods and not looking back, living with Apollo in nature, forever hidden in shame. Finally he shook his head and cooled himself down, he was sure Apollo was laughing his ass off in his ball if he could see his trainer now. Alecks cleared his throat before speaking again "No, I am not a g-girl! My name's Alecks and I'm my own man!" He crossed his arms and put his head down, his eyes glues to his shoes.
-
Alecks Alecks ran onto the field towards his beaten partner. Apollo was laid down on his back on the grass, his poor little body covered in bruises. Alecks knelt beside his fallen buddy and put his hand down gently below Apollo's head to make it a bit more comfortable for him. "We did great for our first time Apollo, don't worry, we'll get out revenge soon enough." Apollo looked up at his trainer with disappointment but a small grin quickly appeared on his face as he gave Aleck's his attempt at a thumbs up and a wink. "Chim..!" Apollo cried out, he wasn't one to give up easily...just like his partner. "That's enough, time for you to take a break." Alecks mumbled, giving his new buddy a smile before taking out his pokeball. He pressed the white button in the middle and Apollo was recalled back into the ball in a bright red light. Once Apollo was safely back into the ball he pressed it against his forehead. You did great buddy, he though to himself, hoping that Apollo could somehow hear him. With that done he stood back up and put the pokeball in a pocket in his dark grey messenger bag. Looking up at the sky he gave out a tired sigh and smiled, this was one battle neither of them were going to forget.

I'm ok with it, Icarus would probably be out celebrating with the rest as he wouldn't turn down a good celebration. He would have planned his attempt of finding the tunnels later at night when he was done partying.

Alecks Apollo was sent flying back once again by the strong tackle, once again landing on his back as he fell down. He jumped back up onto his feet and looked at the Snivy, slight bruises starting to appear on parts of his body where he's been tackled twice. Alecks saw how both pokemon stood there as they both tried to recover their strength, this was becoming a tough match. "Apollo, use Leer again!" he didn't want to wear Apollo down too much, so making him do an easier ability would be helpful. Apollo looked at the Snivy once again with with a determined and angry stare, causing the Snivy to lose some defense again. "All right Apollo, now just keep Snivy from hitting you! Remember that no matter how many vines she throws at you, your still faster than her!" Apollo nodded slightly as he stood on the balls of his feet, prepared to dodge any attack thrown at him.
-
Alecks Alecks watched as the Snivy managed to get behind Apollo, Apollo managed to take some hits but they still had the advantage. "Even if the Snivy is fast, your still more faster and agile Apollo!" he cheered, Apollo turned around to face the oncoming Snivy. "Great, hold it right there.." Alecks muttered as he saw the Snivy get closer and closer until she was very close to Apollo. "Ok now! Jump away from her and give her a face full of Ember!" Apollo acted instantly, in sync with his partner, and jumped back and away from the Snivy while letting out bolts of flames from his mouth. The bolts of flames went right at the Snivy as she was running straight towards them. Apollo landed on his feet and stared at the Snivy, both he and his trainer waiting so see if the Snivy could manage to continue.
-
Alecks Apollo was knocked back because of the Snivy's tackle, he ended up landing on his back but quickly jumped up. His body had obvious damage, mostly from the tackle as his own fire attacks weren't as effective against himself. Because of the damage both Apollo and Snivy took, they both seemed to be hurt but neither wanted to give the other an inch. "Keep on going Apollo, this fight isn't over yet!" Both partners were determined to come out of this battle on top, and were willing to give it their all. "All right Apollo, use Leer now!" Apollo nodded and glared right at the Snivy, in his eyes burning a hot flame that shocked the Snivy, causing her defense to be lowered. "Good, now go on the offensive and don't give them an inch of breathing room, use Ember again!" Apollo ran forward once again, jumping from side to side as he spewed out small bolts of fire from his mouth, overwhelming the Snivy with flames that shot forward from all over. There was no way she could get dodge all of them!
-
Alecks Apollo squealed in surprise as the vines connected to his legs, wrapping themselves around his legs tightly and smashing him down from the air. He grunted, annoyed that he had gotten trapped in the Snivy's vines. He started to struggle and flail frustratingly as the vines didn't loosen up. "Don't worry Apollo, things aren't over yet!" Alecks tried to cheer his partner on, the Snivy moved faster than he had though. But he had already gotten an idea "Apollo, use Ember and set the vines on fire!" Apollo nodded as he understood what his trainer was going for. He spit out fire towards the middle-point of the vines, the fire landed on target and set the vines aflame. Slowly the flames licked up the vines towards Snivy.
-
Alecks Alecks gazed at the Snivy in wonder "Woah! It look so cool!" He said in awe, he quickly took out his pokedex and scanned both Apollo and the Snivy. Apollo giving his trainer a withering look, slightly annoyed that he was giving the other pokemon so much attention. Alecks scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment "Heh sorry Apollo.." he muttered, taking a slight pause before pumping his fist slightly. "All right! Come on Apollo, let's show them what we're made of!" Apollo mimicked his trainer's actions, pumping his fist in the air with determination. Alecks quickly ran to the battlefield Bianca choose with Apollo on his shoulder. Once Alecks got into position, Apollo jumped down into onto the battlefield gracefully, landing on his feet as he growled slightly at the Snivy. Both he and Alecks got the fire in their eyes back, looking forward to their first battle as partners. "Ok Apollo, they might have the advantage in experience, but we have the type and passion advantage!" Chimchar yelped a reply to his trainer, both of their blood pumping through their veins excitedly. "Now go Apollo, move forward and use Ember!" Apollo ran forward towards the Snivy, once he got a close enough distance he jumped in the air and lets out small bolts of fire from his mouth midair, aiming straight towards the Snivy.
-
Outside- Alecks Both he and Apollo looked at each other surprisingly "Uh.. I guess we got turned down?" Alecks scratched the back of his neck, not knowing what to do when someone doesn't want to battle. His partner seemed far from happy, he still held on to his shoulder but it was obvious he wanted some action. Apollo was trying to intimidate Roy, obviously feeling cheated out of his chance of facing a rival. He looked around at Bianca, not sure what he was supposed what else to do now that the others already choose their battling opponents. "Well, Apollo is yearning to show off...maybe we can battle you instead, Bianca? Same terms as before?" he muttered somewhat awkwardly, some of the steam he had moments before being blown away by being rejected so quickly.

Icarus, Time: 1st Day of the Year of Rebirth. Afternoon approx. 2 PM Icarus was sitting in his room, the curtains closed tightly to not let any sunlight into the dimly lit room. The only source of light came from separate candles that burned throughout the room, allowing him to still see instead of walking around like a blind bat. He was sitting in the chair of his desk that was directly under the window, he had pulled the chair away from the desk so his left hand was resting on the table while his right tossed one of his twin blades up in the air before catching it by the handle on it's way down. He kept tossing it up and down several times, watching as the shiny silver blade twirled in the air before coming down. He had always taken pride in his weapons, keeping his blades and chain as clean as he could...but now seeing them so clean annoyed him, he hasn't been able to use the tools of his trade much since becoming trapped in the castle. Sure every once in a while he would be hired for the cloak and dagger jobs of some of the more high classed castle residents but that did not satisfy him. Those jobs weren't enough for him, he only accepted because it gave a nice change of pace to the daily routine of the castle. When he couldn't find any work for his particular "skills" he would sneak around the castle, hearing whispers not meant for his ears and reading papers that weren't for his eyes. But that was mostly to keep practicing his sneaking skills, no real valuable information was ever really gotten in these petty tasks. But when he had found out that there was a chance he could escape the castle via the tunnels underneath the castle he couldn't have been happier. To be completely honest, actually getting out of the castle wasn't the main thing that kept him interested, it was the challenge of getting the information he needed and being able to sneak past the castle denizens to get out and in of the castle as he pleased. That's what really interested him, and one of his first big challenges finally appeared in the form of the deranged book keeper, Iidra. He didn't know whether he was lying to keep him from looking for information about the castle's structures or the tunnels, or if there really wasn't any and the man just wanted to cause trouble for him. Either way, he wasn't going to let that end his search. He had just come into his room to give him time to cool down, it wouldn't do any good to be walking around the castle with fury in his eyes. He would only attract attention and give others a reason to cause him trouble, instead he would do what he was good at. Sneak around the castle and look for the entrance into the tunnels, he didn't want to deal with the hassle of looking around for crumbly papers. Usually he would like to have information before going into the unknown but right now he was impatient and wanted to take the risk. He stood up from the chair and caught the falling blade once again, but this time he stabbed the tip into his desk in one smooth motion. Separating the tip from the wood as it cracked slightly from the impact, before hanging it once again at it's usual spot on his hip and smiling. He was actually looking forward to taking the risk, who didn't love a little danger in their life?
