In most pokemon games I do use Set, but Reborn to me feels like it is created to require you to use every tool at your advantage to the best of it's ability. It seems only natural that we should use Switch to take advantage of everything possible to even the playing field.

I've fought two of them so far, and in both cases I've managed to on the very first time cook up a strat to take care of them. The first thing to do is ALWAYS paralyze them

Jah, it's a stall team! I felt running a super agressive attack nuking team would have been a little too easy because of how unfunctional AI tends to be in pokemon games (spamming electric moves when I have volt absorb?). I'm not sure if you saw the grass gym, but I adore the burning field... I'm sure going to love going up against a gym that turns that one against me. I hope I have access to surf or another field destroyer by then, because if a Gym uses it as their field, they will surely be immune to it, thusforth Vulpix won't be soloing the gym while laughing. I'm totally looking forward to how this develops as I move on. I just think the game is overly punishing on certain play styles due to the vastly superior access to functional healing of the AI. I thought it was terrifying. There is a difference. The fear wore off the first time and future high level opponents didn't surprise me.

Yeah I just did another one of these events: level 40 is my cap, and there is a level 57 polar bear mon. This time my team couldn't hide behind pachirisu volt absorbing to victory, but Vulpix did this amazing job of narrowly avoiding death via a constant spam of confusion and burn DOTs that eventually resulted in me killing it. They're awesome fights.

Not so much cheating, but I do find it a bit of a pet peeve how advantaged in comparison to us they are sometimes. Like Gym 5 (badge 4)... That jerkbag has 2 pokemon with leftovers and super powerful berries on another. Then he's got 2 hyper potions he is totally willing to spam to achieve his victory as well. I only have 2 hyper potions myself, and I certainly don't have access to that berry, or the leftovers. I sort of feel with their field advantages that give them quite a bit of strength to work with already, the level of itemized advantage also given is a bit crazy at times. It makes for some tense, terrifying battles, but often it feels not like it's difficult, and more like it's in the realms of intense quantities of false difficulty. I would really love to see the AI improved at some point, because if they were more intelligient with what skills they use, and in what orders, the amount of item advantage given wouldn't be neccesary to shield them from their own stupidity.

So if I caught you, could I force you to learn ALL THE HM's and drag you around forcing you to solve all my problems?

Right, my apologies. While I find this can be a silly rule, and it's not one I tend to like much, I don't like to cause problems by disobeying rules, and will be certain not to doublepost in the future. While we are on that topic, I wanted to know what is considered a necropost or not, to know what will cause people to be sad or not about an action.

Give it one less lightning move and the problem is fixed. Pachi can have volt absorb, and that causes it to have a pretty good chance of healing pachi instead of stomping it's face in. That allowed Pachi to chip it down over the course of the next 28 turns.

So I'll ask a question. Is the Dark Soul simply edge (Which is totes fine and I'm not mocking you if so), or were you implying you like the Dark Souls game series?

So if I lost I'd have just had to wait for the vulpix, it would have stayed there just chilling until I could finally do this? Neat.

I attached two files of how it went down for me. When I tracked down where this thing had went to, I found it over here... and lemme just say this fight was terrifying. I'm still level locked at 35, and this level 45 thing runs up. I killed it, but I don't think I was expected to be able to beat it. Considering it looked like it was going to kidnap or kill the Vulpix, I am wondering how else this event can go down.

I evolved bedew and I don't get it... enlighten me?

Bedew? Courtesy to the rescue! Bedew will evolve at any time inbetween 8AM and 4PM, times before or after that I'm not sure of. Remember it will need to level up to trigger this.
