  1. My favorite race is nords, specifically the Skaal, while my favorite transformation race are werewolves.
  2. I don't necessarily want the move for Gallade because it would help him become more competitively viable but because the move is really fitting for Gallade as a species, even more than Samurott or Aegislash.
  3. Samurott as of USM gets sacred sword via egg move with Smeargle. While it won't really improve my favorite starter, I'm glad it got my favorite move in Pokemon. Now if only Gallade would get it...
  4. So to celebrate Cody being released for SFV and him regaining some of his old personalty thanks to being mayor, I thought I'd share a really good FF fan film that recently got released that I thought my fellow FF fans would enjoy.
  5. I'm a fan and one of few who side with Law. DS1: Overclocked is my favorite SMT side game with 4 being my favorite from the main series. (though I don't like 4: Apocalypse) I've also played most of the games set during and after Persona 4.
  6. Another character I found out recently that other people hate is Corrin/Mark/Robin (counting them as one character because they are implied to be one character) from Fire Emblem. Their Fates incarnation in particular gets a lot hate for some reason despite being a interesting twist on the series standard lord.

  8. If you are a fan of Awakening, like I am, it is implied that Corrin and some of the Hoshido second generation units are the past lifes of Awakening's cast. I had Corrin/Robin marry Caeldori/Cordelia since they are my favorite ship in Fire Emblem. Hoshido also has the better promotion path for Corrin, making him/her essentially an actual paladin.
  9. Characters from video games I like that other people hate, (using Tv Tropes as a guide and anything related to Pokemon I will stick with just the human characters) Cloud from Final Fantasy VII Asgore from Undertale Chara from Undertale (I believe she is the narrator) Arthur Maxson from Fallout Preston Garvey from Fallout Silver from Sonic Demyx from Kingdom Hearts Kari from Kingdom Hearts Almost everyone in the Law alignment from Shin Megami Tensei Yu from Persona 4 Rise from Persona 4 Ryuji from Persona 5 Haru from Persona 5 Fenris from Dragon Age Noel Vermillion from Blazblue Celica A. 10. Unlike most people here I tend to use the same team which only changes if there is a new pokemon I really like. Out of my team, even though it is my second favorite pokemon, (wigglytuff is my favorite) I consider Galahad the gallade to my signature pokemon thanks to his pokedex personalty, matching the overall theme of my team, and access to his awesome looking mega form. Besides Galahad other pokemon that serve a signature like role are Blade the Samurott who is always my starter and Artorias the Dusk Lycanroc who is my Z move user.
  11. @Thundermaze But we do know our motives, we initially came to Reborn to challenge the league and then became involved in stopping Team Meteor, plus any other personal motives the player has themselves. Notice that besides the personal motives these motives match what most people came to do in Pokemon Reborn, as the player character is supposed to be the player. The avatars were never implied to be like Link or Samus, so doing this would ruin immersion and IMO be a bad plot twist. As for the topic, ZEL - Likely as I think the Pulse Magnazone with the last of it's life separated them, Lumi and Eve are probably somewhere safe, away from Team Meteor Taka - Yes, as I feel he will be vital in redeeming his father. Sirius - No, he deserves to be tortured for eternity. Solaris - Hopefully, he originally was a good man. Lin - No. Cal - Already had his redemption. Aster & Eclipse - Yes. Terra - Maybe? Dr. Sigmund - No. Blake - No. Fern - No. El - Out of all of the more questionable characters he is the one I have the most hope for as not only does he have relationship points and is a Elite Four member but Lin's plan will force him to chose between his god or Team Meteor and I can't see this man of faith doing the latter. Bennett - I like Bennett. ;_; Seriously though I would say yes.
  12. Well going by my personal playthrough I say it is a C as while it doesn't do good against Titania, its okay for most of the game and the earlier episode buffed it with a stab dazzling gleam and assault vest. It also can pull off some surprising victories thanks to the field effects.
  13. Just looked at the list and I can't believe Gallade shares the same rank as LUVDISC. Even with the changes that is weird and harsh and while it's physical defenses are low, it does have good special defense. You also forgot to mention it's hidden ability, justified. Considering Arbok made D rank surely Gallade could qualify for D as well. (and maybe higher if we ever get galladite) Despite this I find your general ranking project good and interesting and I am looking forward to when you give your rank for Wigglytuff. Here are some of it's positives, +Has competitive as a ability +Hyper Voice +Good movepool +High HP +If I recall correctly it is early game +Fairy/Normal typing +good wish user Here are some negatives, -Low defenses -slow -Wigglytuff yearns to be a special focused pokemon but many of it's moves are psychical
  14. Yeah I completely agree, I personally consider him to be a worse person than Lin thanks to what he did to Eclipse. Actually he tried to perform a exorcism, since if I remember right, he doesn't consider Luna's obsession with darkness to be something natural to her, so in his view she must be possessed. While there are cases of ghost pokemon demonically possessing people in the original set of games (I WANT BLOOD!) and the dark type is actually is the evil type in Japan, personally I think her obsession is a form of rebellion against her father.
  15. So after playing episode 17 and finishing Pokemon UM it got me thinking, unlike Team Plasma who separated themselves into morally black and white groups or the Aether Foundation who were anti-heroes when their president wasn't influenced by neurotoxins, Team Meteor has successfully stayed as villains without any splits despite the many morally grey members (Taka, ZEL, Aster etc.) and their original noble goal (protect Arceus's meteor) most likely due to the very powerful iron fist of Lin. So I am wondering does the Reborn community think that Team Meteor can be redeemed or has the team fallen too far? The points in the game that I think suggest that they can are, - According to Eclipse, Team Meteor only sought to make people leave Reborn when Solaris was their leader, and only turned to truly evil measures after Lin took charge. - Solaris originally stayed true to his family's goal after his parents died and Team Meteor's new goal goes against what his parents died to protect. - Taka seems to think his father isn't too far gone, - El is apparently a E4 member and has relationship points, suggesting that the player's interactions with him impact him in some way - Many of their members are desperate people who only want to see something or someone restored to them and constantly question their actions. - Randomus's dialogue about not everything being black and white. - This is a semi common staple in the canon Pokemon games (with Teams Aqua, Magma, Plasma, Skull and the Aether Foundation) but unlike in those games Reborn's characters are more fleshed out, so if they can be redeemed thanks to player it will be more poignant and satisfying.
  16. I think you are confused on what I am trying to argue. I am not trying to argue that the official games are as dark or darker than Reborn but that the darker elements that are expanded on by Reborn were already in the franchise. For example Team Galactic, which the goal of Team Meteor is based on, IS a terrorist organization and Chandlure destroying souls is a official part of Pokemon lore. The main Pokemon anime which you are referring to does not accurately represent the world of the games and is noticeably lighter in tone. While other media like the Pokemon Adventures manga have a darker tone. (and that Red was not perfectly healthy after being frozen and as the result of his injuries had to turn down the offer of being the new Virdian Gym Leader) While on your comment about Neo Plasma, as seki108 has mentioned Ghetsis quite blatantly attacks the player. I also do not find a funny little kid's show to be a fair comparison. As the Pokemon games' tone is more similar to that of Digimon or the original Teen Titans.
  17. It is presented similar to your Team Aqua example, except the frozen bodies are shown. It even got animated in the Pokemon Generations episode The Frozen World. (Skip to 3:28 to see the aftermath of the attack) Even if they somehow survived being frozen they would experience severe Hypothermia and Frostbite. Our player and Drayden didn't get caught up in the blast.
  18. As Imperial, Wolfox and seki108 have shown with their lists it is not limited to the dex. Most of what I was going to mention has been already covered, (thanks by the way! =D) but there are a few more off the top of my head, FR/LG: A Hypno tries to kidnap a little girl and Red has to rescue her. BW: A girl's litwick saps it's owner's life force. BW/BW2: A Darkrai murders a little girl. BW2: Neo Plasma's frigate starts freezing Unova from Opelucid City, some civilians were not able to evacuate in time.
  19. I would point out to your friend that all of the dark stuff, except suicide, she has a problem with was already a part of the franchise to begin with.
