All my main favs except for a few that don't make up my team are in my trainer card (like legendaries I like but never use) and three of the ones that are on my card according to smogon and serbii suck. (Donphan, Samurott, and favorite of favorites Wigglytuff, despite Wigglytuff coming on top in a tournament) WHAT!?!: I thought Fern was just doing the old rival is a jerk routine with a side of Lapis Ward's appalling attitude, I guess this is what happens when you try to see the best in people. (sighs) At least I can go all out on him now. Ok I'll admit that is pretty stupid, while you can't go over the limit level grinding is still a important strategy, especially when using pokemon that aren't "good" for certain gym leaders. Wait is ralts still in the Railnet or did she move it again in 14.5?

Ok I'm not going to lie was these needlessly cruel and hurtful comments necessary? Sure this game is not for everyone and to my knowledge whoever this guy is not a member of this board but does that really give cause to mock him and his favorite pokemon? On topic The post does describe Reborn pretty well but while still a huge jerk I feel there is some good left in Fern, he cares for his sister somewhat and he mocks Cory suicide but he does tell you where to find Cory's dead body and to be fair almost all the NPCs in the area have the same shocking attitude. Also so far I'm doing pretty good with my favorite pokemon.

So far I only had sub my starter (Samurott) in a few gym battles while replacing some pokemon I caught early on with Pokemon I like more.

I agree, (Mega Rayquaza would be more difficult) also in universe why would Arceus follow Team Meator? It is the Pokemon Universe's version of God and even when the evil team members have been able to summon it (Team Rocket, Purple Eyes) it has always ignored them and/or banished them, with it only being antagonistic when judging humanity to see if we are beyond saving or after being betrayed in the anime.

While it will never happen I do wish these greedy pigs would just give up and leave the net alone. Well, time to go back to fighting this.

Its just my head canon (Though I do wish Decibel was the main male instead of the other black haired kid as I don't consider myself non binary)

I say fire because of lighting bending and if you can bend lighting then there's a possibility that you can bend light too, however out of the nations the water tribe is my favorite.(for many things but the wolf armor brings them to the top over air)

I am obliged to instantly hate on Giratina (because of being the pokeworld version of Satan) Dark types, (except Absol) and any Ghost type that eats souls or acts demonic, however the Clefairy line irks me specifically for being the Jigglypuff line's rival in the meta game. (I can't count how many times I've been told to use a Clefable instead of a Wigglytuff)

The game is already difficult with its new mechanics, team design, most pokemon found though events and level restrictions and while I can understand putting them further in the game, I'm not going to lie, removing them outright IMO is stupid. (and if they really do somehow break the game at least make you work for it) People do realize this game has a lot more to it than just difficulty right?

Do I really sound that awkward and flat? In my head canon if I wasn't playing as myself, Decibel (hes the one with silver hair right?) is male and has always been male but thanks to his looks he is constantly mistaken for a girl, so he bought a expensive suit to try to emulate Steven Stone (cause no one mistakes him for a girl and they look similar) and it seemed to work for awhile but then he meets Cain... (got the joke from Radiata Stories and I feel it helps lighten up Reborn a little)

Wow it suddenly got dark in here... and do we need to make anymore difficult? Its a good idea but there needs to have Arceus (the real thing) in some capacity, it be weird to be in the afterlife without God.

Ok that makes sense, I'm just not use to the NPCs not being static. (I knew it wasn't just a bug) If I remember right she's near the area before getting to the pokecenter in the Peridot ward. (I think shes the wife to the old man who disapeared also.)

Ok this is weird but in Peridot Ward (raining) I was running by and a old woman and she disappeared right in front of me. The game does tend to lag when I'm outside so it could be a bug but on the other hand Pokemon has a history with ghosts. So is there a ghost in the Peridot Ward? Also the old man complaining about his health and a little kid who can't go across the tracks are mysteriously gone as well. (I even checked the kidnaper because I was worried about the kid's safety)

Yep. I can't help but feel that this fan game will run into the same problem the souls franchise did though, which is a shame because if you stick with it the region design (I actually felt like I was in a city) music, and story is the best I've seen even rivaling the main games. *highfives back* Well I am stubborn, the souls series can attest to that.... (can't help but make comparisons) Yesterday I met a old man with a togeipi too, lucky son of a gun. I have to ask again but why would anyone remove a selectable pokemon? Thanks! I will admit that I let that one stickyed topic color my expectations of the game. I just beat the Team Meator (may or may not be worse than Galactic on the evil scale) hideout and the game doesn't seem so bad so far and level grinding never got to me in a rpg. ( got to be careful on how high I get though)

Your right I should keep him alive but I don't think he would lose his faith but try to atone for his sins slowly becoming a good shepard in the process. If I was going have him sacrifice himself I would probably have take down that guy with garchomp Gandalf style But if you limit the pokemon you can get you lessen the experience of playing a pokemon game and the meta game can become stale, not to mention the poor, poor newcomer who's favorite just happens to be Garaydos... (sorry in advance if there is a another magikarp)

The Zinogre is my favorite monster too! I plan to pick it up after buying Alpha Sapphire and Majora's Mask, (though I heard they changed Zora Link's swimming for the worse) however my brother already has it and he says its great, hopefully I can get the game before the Sonic cat armor event comes out in the U.S.A. I mainly use a long sword (lighting element) but if I can find a charge blade that turns into a great sword instead of an axe I'd like to try it.

If I was the developer for Reborn I would add a small group of Old Team Plasma grunts to join, (the goal to forcefully liberate abused pokemon from their abusive trainers and taking care of lost and abandoned pokemon, their base would be an actual church just like in PW2) make all the pokemon that aren't lengendaries available, include all the TMs, (with the useful ones being sold at ridiculous prices) balance the game so almost any team can win the game you just have to earn it, (if balancing this game isn't possible I'd include a easy mode) let players earn money via a job mini game (which is made to be the most boring and frustrating mini game in the history of mini games on purpose) and finally...

Wait that reply in my Welcome Topic wasn't just a joke? (I thought it just wasn't implemented yet) Well thats kinda depressing but I guess it adds to the whole crapsack region trope in universe. I guess I'll just play the game, however whenever I do get a Wigglytuff it will be the only pokemon I keep, sure I'm basically limiting myself to 5 "useful" pokemon since Wigglytuff stats suck (and if my research is correct even though it is a fairy type now it doesn't get its competitive ability in Reborn yet.) but I feel its a nice compromise between what I always want to do in a Pokemon game and what Reborn wants. Thank you for the hard truth and thank you everyone else for the advice you provided.

I don't want a perfect team though I just want play through the game using my favorite pokemon and IMO getting a "perfect team" that way defeats the purpose of playing pokemon, they are supposed to be your team mates.

Thanks, I'm okay with waiting I'm just worried that when I do get all of them I won't be able to win at all with them thanks to not being able to use the type coverage moves and strategies I honed through the years. (I read that pinned topic on what to expect and its sounds harder than Dark Souls 1 and 2 ) Thanks for the advice its nice to know that event happens early.
