Surely they have the sense to not make another Fire Fighting starter? I can't see how they could possibly be unaware of it being the case that literally half of them have the same dual type, and the idea of increasing that proportion even more to 4/7 seems ludicrous. -

Question. Given the footage we have of the overworld so far, is it possible to assume that Pokémon won't be following behind you, or might it be that what we have seen so far is only taking place before receiving the starter? -

I won't deny that Contrary Serperiorb has its uses competitively, but it's design just didn't stick with me. I prefer my snakes having more conventionally reptilian features.

I generally choose based on design too, so my choices for the worst-looking fully evolved starters are Emboar and Serperior.
