Reborn seems to have a different way of running things than other regions, I'm just surprised that the league is still running durring the current crisis with Team Meteor.

Normal Runs: 1 Challenge Runs: 1 (In Progress) My main playthrough I got all the way up to after Terra and am awaiting episode 15, but I may to another regular run once episode 15 comes out to see what pokemon availablity changed and to try out pokemon I never used before (The first run I used Machamp and Dusknoir for the first time since I didn't need to trade to evolve them). My challenge run is a mono 4th gen run that I have recently started.

Stone Edge i think is only through TM, and we don't have that TM availble in Reborn yet as far as I know.

Archeops learns rock slide at level 51 if I am not mistaken. Throught breeding, he can learn head smash via Relicanth->Corsola->Archeops. If your looking for ground moves, he can learn Earth Power via Crosola->Archeops.

My favorite is sableye, i love both the design and it's use in battle. It would be my out of pokeball mascot if I was ever a pokemon trainer. Plus I just imagine these guys playing plenty of pranks on people who wonder into their caves.

I mean, route 2 has those crustles, sure they have sturdy 1/2 the time, but there still pretty good xp and spammable.

Is there a tm shop in this game [ANSWERED]

I don't think it would be steel wing, since only 2 steel pokemon can even learn it to my knowledge, and thats skarmory and empoleon. However if flash cannon is deemed to powerful, and this late in the game i don't think it will be, Gyro Ball is another option as a tm to get from Titania. Scald isnt really useless, sure surf has more power, but for water types who don't really pack a punch to begin with, a 30% chance to burn is much more appealing than an extra 10 base power. I only really said acrobatics since it feels more in theme of the gym leader, since it's a circuis and what not, but it can very well be something else. Rock Polish is another option, also i don't know if sandstorm is available yet, but if it's not, it might also be something for Hardy to award. And yea, Sephira is most likely going to award dragon claw. As for Flobot, i think her battle was more special since it was in the trainer school, and I think it was a way to really introduce the player to special terrains, hense the nature power use. Plus, seeing as there are only 3 grass type tms (solarbeam, energy ball, and grass knot), any of those would hae been way to powerful to award you from a second gym leader, so nature power was a good alternative. -

Yea, i figure Titania will give us Flash Cannon, Amaria will give us Scald, Ciel may give us Acrobatics(it's a circuis afterall =P), Adrienn will probably give us Dazzling Gleam, and Hardy will probably give us Rock Slide. Just my guesses. -
"I'll save you smoochum! ... why is that beartic level 57?!?!?!?!" "Alright I'll go meet you on the bridge. Ok, I'm here, I get my badge now right? Why are you releasing your pokemon? OH SHIT DON'T!!!" "One pokemon huh, well bring it on .... it's level 75... and its a garchomp... what even..." "I don't know whats digging all those tunnels behind me, and I won't want to know!" (Steelix shows up) "Someone, please bring me my brown pants!" "Typhlosion and Darmanitan huh? Alright, let's go quagsire!" (Typhlosion used energy ball) "..."

Shade isnt really boring per say, there is just close to nothing about him that we know XD. His gym puzzle gave me the creeps though. My favorite gym leaders, I just liked the agate circuis trio, there bickering just reminded me of my group of friends XD. And aside from them, Randomus was also very interesting, as for me it was hard to tell weather he went out of his way to help people because he wanted to save them, or because it was "interesting" for him, and I kind of like characters like that. Also about Bennett, I kind of think he is misunderstood in a way. In the end he is just a kid who is trying to follow his heart/dream, unfortunetly he ended up associeting with El, who is a pretty roten to the core kind of person.

Well, decided to also do a monogen challenge run now that my main team is finished and ready for episode 15. Rolled the d6 and got 4, here goes nothing. Went ahead and chose chimchar as my starter and named him Champion, who was easily able to take out both Cain and VIctoria, and get some good early xp. First step was to catch a Bidoof, and found a female Bidoof with Moody, caught her and nicknamed her Bertha. Now started to plow through all the starter trainers in Opal ward, slowly training up the poor level 3 Bertha through switching. Now, finaly in peridot ward, went ahead to grab the old rod and battled the fisherman with the goldeen to go and catch me a Finneon, after a few tries, a female level 7 finnean is on the hook, it somehow eats up 4 of my pokeballs, but I manage to catch it, her name is Nemo. I then battled my way to kriketune and patchirisu and added them both to my team, the kriketune was a female, so I nicknamed her Shelly, cause why not =P. The patchirisu was a male, and I nicknamed him Jolt. Now with a pretty good team going, went ahead to finish up the rest of the trainers in peridot, and then went to battle Fern. SHelly did most of the work in the fight, but Bertha and Jolt snuck in there for some xp as well, all in all, no issues with Fern. After calling me a looser anyway and leaving, I went ahead to the gym, only to find out I gotta help out with invading some factory, so I go ahead, team up with Fern, and we plow through all the grunts in our way. With all the rock types, there was some good xp for Nemo. With the finla batle between solrock and lunatone at the factory, they managed to knock out Bertha and Nemo, but Shelly swooped in to finish the job. Now with the factory out of the way, I headed for the gym, showed the trainers in there whos boss, and now am about to face off against Julia. Current Team: Champion: The lvl 14 Jolly Monferno (male) (Iron Fist) Bertha: The lvl 14 Jolly Bidoof (female) (Moody) Nemo: The lvl 14 Sassy Finneon (female) (Water Veil) Shelly: The lvl 14 Docile Kricketune (female) (Technician) Jolt: The lvl14 Lonely Pachirisu (male) (Volt Absorb)

Man, I don't think I would have the patience to grind so many pokemon XD, keep going at it and good luck.
-
Nice, how are it's stats?
-
Yea, if the typing of the pokemon was changet to normal, i probably would not have gotten past mewtwo XD, which was basicaly my drapion bug bitting it to death.
-
I mean, Deino isnt exactly all that powerfull, since heigreigon's move pool is limited by TMs, and it an absolute pain to level up to 64 since he is basicaly useless until then XD. Hydreigon would have some use against charolette and Terra, but we all know that at this point one of the E4 will be bug type, and we still have the fairy gym, both of which will show Hydreigon the door. But I am willing to wait for how ever long Ame feels is necesarry for the floating hydra. I agree with Staryu, or slowpoke since I want to make a mono-psychic team work at some point, but would need a water type.

I think the most I raged was in the sneaking segment in the Arceus base. I got caught so many times by just constantly taking wrong turns out of reflex, then when I finaly reached the end, I realized I missed the library... having to go back through those dam guards, read books, get caught like 30 times again, then finaly get past that puzzle. It could be that I play Reborn at x2 speed at all times since regular speed feels a bit sluggish to me, and having the guards move/turn at x2 speed probably made that harder than it needed to be.
-
Yea, as much as I like Decibel's design, the face on the You vs. Rival/Gym clashes looks a bit derpy to me, just staring into nothingness XD.
-
I chose Decibel my first playthrough. Probably gonna play as Vero in my next run.
-
Not everyone looks up every leader in a pokemon game, then min/maxes there team to beat them with no issues. Everyone plays differently. Also you derailed your own topic, since you started talking about the gym leaders being easy.
-
Takes me back to the day when i found a shiny cubone in the safari zone, i'm pretty sure I lost all hope after that.
-
You still get the item for ralts in the railnet. You need both rock smash and strength, I am pretty sure you can still get it the same way in 14.5/14.6.
-
Kekleon's level-up move pool isnt all that bad to be honest. It get's Faint attack really early, giving it the option to become dark type against shade, Shadow sneak is a pretty good priority move and let's you play around with predicting normal/fighting moves, and later on it gets sucker punch, one of the most powerful priority moves, which is pretty good for the psychic gym, as it will change to dark type, give it stab, and most likely absorb a psychic or two. All in all, with a few TMs, you can really have some fun with protean and it's 90 base attack stat.

Sometimes they got frozen for me, but rage powder seemed to get them going again.
