A very minor example of a nerf and one that mainly applies for -ingame stuff, but Lucario's level up set I liked more in gen 4 because he learned aura sphere at 37 and close combat at level 42, but gen V made him learn heal pulse instead(seriously) with swords dance at 37(instead of lvl 33) and moved close combat to level 55. Gen V at least gave him calm mind but I remember being sorely disappointed by this using Lucario in gen 5. Heal pulse shoving close combat to like endgame levels freakin sucked.

Escavalier. Both are cool but Escavalier won me over the minute I saw his artwork. His name is also really cool and he's more reliable in battle, though accelgor is interesting when used correctly, just harder to make work in-game. Also on a trick room team escavalier is a freakin monster. Just keep him away from fire.

What level is said sharpedo and dragonite? What are their natures? IVs? Also if her pokemon are EV'd at all that could be part of it as well. I know in the official games, at least gen 7 the boss NPCs would have some bizarre EV spreads. I remember faba's hypno outspeeding my A-Raichu lol despite being only a couple of levels higher.

The actual statues themselves match right? I know I got some switched when I first attempted it. Like make sure shinx aligns with shinx and such. Also the tiles you're supposed to place the statues on are a different tint than the rest. They're kind of pinkish.

Idk how I feel about Rejuv's Crescent. She feels so untouchable and is acidic to everyone, not to mention her literal plot magic that seemingly let's her do whatever she needs to to do in order to overcome(or help the player overcome) whatever situation she's in. Having just finished amber's gym, the whole mt valor peak scene reminded me of how much I dislike her character. The goth crap is like icing on the cake, she feels like a total Sue.
I suspect this is intentional to some degree, but so far she's my least favorite character in the game.

Ludicolo solo'd Groudon. 9 levels behind, no potions(groundon healed though). And here I thought Ludi was just good for Hm stuff, but no, the guy has proved himself to be quite the player this playthrough. I fully respect the colo now.
Part of it has to do with being able to take advantage of fields. he's probably not as good in the official games but his field game in Reborn-esque games is pretty solid.

Hmm annoying but thanks, wasn't sure if I could do that still. PS screw Texen lol. Apparently we made him so mad he broke the 4th wall by messing with the game interface. -
Naw, I found myself watching vids of people playing older versions last night. One guy was stuck on crawli for 3 hours. But admittedly Crawli's old gym was some BS. His team was just moderately challenging but the gym itself was just a nightmare to navigate and figure out. I had college exams easier than it lol.

I'm starting to wonder if that's the case. That'd also explain why it seems to happen more in the daytime then at night or morning. Also it has been rather hot these past week lol. -

Togedamaru has been so good this playthrough. Guaranteed nuzzles and terrain shifts via sturdy + spiky shield are super useful for those high level boss fights.
It's close with Emolga as my favorite pika-clone.

I didn't get this problem too much when I started playing but lately I've been getting it a LOT. Seems to be happening more and more the further I progress through the game. I'm not sure what causes it, but the game will progressively slow down overall until either it's running at like less than half speed out of battle or the game hangs during battle as to become unresponsive. The game will be running normally, or as well as this laptop can run it at least but then after playing for some time the thing just craps itself and I get this. It feels kind of random as to when this happens, as sometimes it happens after only say 10-15 minutes of playing while other times it'll play fine for a good hour+ before happening, sometimes easily 2-3 hours. Feels like it affects my entire computer too, even chrome loads up more slowly and something similar happened with Reborn too(though last palythrough it rarely happened which is why I'm annoyed it's happening so often again). I'm suspecting this could be a memory issue with my laptop, maybe these games are just too STRONG for this thing but I don't notice any insane spikes or anything using task manager when comparing slow-running Rejuv to normally running Rejuv. Anybody know a remedy for this? I'm at the corrupted cave ATM but the game is starting to physically become unplayable. -

I've talked to all the other ones, but the last two don't seem to be in Kakori village/?? Where are they supposed to be? It's driving me crazy.

Crawli beaten! He was easy somewhat but took out 5 of my pokemon due to rock slide missing pinsir at one point. His escavalier is his toughest pokemon IMO. But with toucannon/talonflame and lycanroc I was able to tear through his other pokemon.

So is Mosely supposed to be French? or umm Kalosian? I'm trying ti picture a voice in my head reading her dialogue but it's a bit tough.

Hmm I do wonder if it's just RPG maker's way of simulating "chance" and if there's any difference compared to the regular games.

^Never heard of pele's hair? It's actually a really neat and creative take if somewhat obscure. I kind of like it if only because I honestly dislike vanilla dugtrio and find it one of the most creatively defunct pokemon in existence. Plus it's a steel type that's not quite the typical mold , a hipster steel pokemon at its finest. -

I feel like the MC would have a disdain or phobia of Garchomp, considering it nearly killed them, killed kiki, was Terra's ace and you always seem to end up on the wrong side of its claws. -

Screw Valerie's fat milotic. I get her down to just it and it proceeds to sweep 5 of my team.
Then i realized togedamaru outspeeds it even on the water field. Two zing zaps is all it took to KO it, and with sturdy it's a guarantee.
But I didn't know that at first so I wasted a turn using nuzzle then zing zapped it and had to rely on Primarina and vileplume to finish her off.
Funnily enough her Primarina wasn't even a big deal. It's Milotic and Floatzel that are PITAs, Miltoic due to its monsterous special bulk and floatzel due to being the Flash on water and its waterfall hitting pretty hard due to the rain/field boost.

@Bauschi: No you normally can't go above the cap via experience, however if you purify a shadow pokemon and they have accumulated enough experience to pass the level cap they will. I hadn't gotten the 3rd badge yet had a level 33 ponyta after purifying the one from sheridan mountain(yes it rose 13 levels lol). I think rare candies cam bypass the cap too. However bar some fights like the ones you're supposed to lose it's definitely possible to beat teams even if they have a pokemon are two above your level(which will happen eventually), especially if you're using items. The level cap usually has you outlevelling the majority of enemies anyway, it's usually only bosses that are at or surpass the current cap level.

At first I was like, it's a pokemon game so of course but I kind of get what you mean. That said a number of these animations were done by this foruum so they do deserve credit for putting in the work to get those actually in the game. I remember when like half the moves didn't have aniamtions at all. To be fair stuff like crunch and bite are just as static in the actual games too.
