    I was disappointed gen 6 abandoned gen 5's exp system, but I guess with the changes it would've made exp gains insane.

    I'll try typhlosion next time although I always found him massively overrated in the original Johto games. But the field effects + fire just being really powerful this game in general makes him seem like a solid choice. iron fist is kind of disappointing ability I think because Infernape is already fast and mach punch still isn't KOing anybody. Infernape is quite good enough anyway but flash fire is no doubt a better ability. No love for Chespin? And idk, protean has been useful ever since froakie learned lick lol. Lick usually I get rid of ASAP but insta ghost proved pretty useful for several battles.

    Terra is actually kind of tough without the right types. Screw swagsire. And yeah Blake pulled that freezing BS on me more than once. Getting frozen is like the worst since it almost never happens for you lol.

    Nyu? I don't get that one. But the elliot one I got a bit after and found it pretty funny.

    Proninja is amazing so I can say that Greninja has not disappointed at all and Infernape also is a huge plus although I think froakie is consistently stronger throughout the game due to his ability. I actually did attempt fennekin but stopped after julia whomped me. I could never get into fennekin's line too much even though Braixen is cute.

    I could never manage that though and even with type advantages I'd still have to make multiple attempts.

    ...the whole confrontation with El in the tower as you/cain/adrienne/Randomus/Gardevoir leave for Reborn city's surface you see a dialogue box pop up saying how this was all fun and how they can't wait for them to come and play again or something. I actually kind of forgot about this first playthrough but 2nd I realized that I don't quite understand as to who is saying this? Is it Luna? Randomus, Taka? Did i miss a detail or is it still a mystery?

    They are not "easy",. even if you didn't have a difficult time with them. They definitely require more from the player compared to the average pokemon (fan)game for the most part. Randomus I actually beat first attempt this time but barely. Girafarig comes with nasty plot which combined with shadow ball via TM on the chess board turns him into a beast, well that is if you can keep him alive. This was another battle where Proninja proves itself best starter.

    Like all the 14.5 nonsense was fixed right? Because that seemed to be a mess. Aren't the doubles still janky though? Or is it solid now?

    Wow I always thought it was the twins that got caught, no idea the scenario would play out differently. I always fought Sirius at Tazan grove but Saphira getting captured seems weird since she's so strong and she was just introduced to the player not too long before. I didn't even know there was a choice in Yureyu.

    Cloyster with skill link and icicle spear is MONSTER and I fully understand him being shoved to late game. Cloyster's Achilles heel is his horrid special defense but anything physically oriented that doesn't resist his attacks is done for.

    Well I feel like if you're using types not available yet you're kind of er cheating aren't you? I don't think the no consecutive gym thing is really a good idea though. It should be hard enough without that. That said, grass so you and fern can be fellow grassholes.

    Randomus' pyramid hat is something I've been interpreting wrong this entire time. I thought it was a powdered wig?

    Bugsy is legit difficult if your team is worn by yanmega/illumise.

    I guess 14.5/6 fixed it sicne i'm using 14.1 still My issue is being underlevelled really. My guys are like 53-57 when they should be 56-58 by now. It's not so much outspeeding Cain as it is not taking down some of his mons quickly enough. Muk leading is like argggh.

    Blake isn't too bad until he sends out Walrein and then it gets ridiculous.

    I find it weird Cain and family live in the BWL. Like are they super poor or something?

    It's definitely the swamp and it's definitely making the fight a lot harder than it needs to be. Ugh Cain is giving me so much trouble this playthrough, it's bonkers.

    Cycling through repeated dialogue to get a different result though is just :/ I didn't even know about the stabby kid until now but 5 times is way too many if there's no indicator he's going to say anything different. With growlithe it's more the issue that the dialogue was misdirecting the player to do something they weren't supposed to and thus never activate growlithe's dialogue like they instinctively would. Even if you leave the room and speak to him again, he still doesn't move. Another thing, i actually never liked the idea of rescuing the officers making corey's fight harder. It should be the opposite, no?

    Why the hell is there a swamp field in the middle of the castle's interior? There is no swamp nearby and it just happens for this battle the field is a swamp one? It doesn't make any sense within the game and feels like a rather artificial way of making the battle harder.
