  1. Fern's dickery feels like an extension of his superiority complex. Blake just seems like a dick needlessly and borderline sociopathic even.
  2. Ewwwww you act like Blake TC? Idk if we could be friends IRL LOL. j/k my faves huh? Well Cain is very entertaining, specializes in one of my favorite types, and his ace is one of my favorite pokemon. So he's definitely one of them. Hardy is a total bro, and puts respect on the the often disrespected rock type. One of the best gym leaders since he tries to be a positive force for trainers and stands up against villainy without doing it out of selfish motives. Sapphira is boss, edgy like Titania but she's not quite as offputting as Titania is. I like her hair too, it's over the top but dragon specialists usually are so it works. Fern is still the best rival I've seen in a fangame. He's got memorable lines, let's you know the kind of guy he is the minute you meet him and "swag jockey" will never cease to get a chuckle out of me Charlotte is one of the most memorable leaders for good reason, and not just because she's hard, but because she's a compelling character. That's my top 5.
  3. Alright so I just beat Souta(screw heavy winds), which is the furthest I've gotten in Rejuvenation. But I'm curious, which rift pokemon did you guys find the toughest thus far? For me it's gotta be I think would be second place, because it deals a lot of damage and the fight beforehand can set you for disaster.
  4. Replaying Rejuv has reminded me that Venam = best girl

    1. Dark Legend
    2. OmegaStellarSolare

      OmegaStellarSolare

I have to admit that Venam is one of my favourites characters, too.

  5. I completely skipped Kyogre this playthrough. I thought it was through a sidequest because I remember fighting it before but this time I didn't.
  6. Sure mudkip is available "later" but how much is later? Arguably some of Rejuv's hardest parts are earlier on(like Narcissca) and you'd fare better with a stronger starter earlier rather than going with a weaker one simply because the stronger one pops up via event or something. I feel like a starer's value goes beyond their late-game usefulness and moreso how useful they are the entire journey. I wouldn't pick squirtle, piplup or totodile. Popplio I used before and remember being pretty good.
  7. Uoof I forget how much I disliked Crescent  in Rejuv. She's just too powerful and untouchable, has an offputting personality, and the way she interferes with the Mt Valor event feels cheap and ruins the outcome even. Probably the worst character in Rejuv tbh.

  8. So I'm outside Valor moutntain and just got stomped by eli/sharon since I didn't have an electric type with me and their team is really difficult without one. Problem is, I spawn at the healing star right before them, and Valor mountain doesn't allow you to backtrack far enough or use dig to escape. However there's no green star to change pokemon, meaning it's very well possible to have the game be unwinnable since you can't go back to town or change pokemon. Honestly I don't know why the green star can't just be merged with the yellow one in the first place? That way you don't have to worry about this issue occurring in the future. I myself luckily had pokeballs on me, so I caught a rhydon and minior, switched them into the party, did about 40 minutes grinding them and was able to win. But for players whose team setup is isn't suited for the fight, I can see this battle being a potential issue.
  9. Normally I'd scoff at using revives but in your case I don't think you had much choice lol. Congrats on beating angie, her field is tough and Beartic is a MASSIVE pain. thankfully she lost Mamoswine, I remember it used to be difficult for me in older versions.
  10. It was an HM in gen 4, which seem hellbent on giving us burdensome HMs. One of the worst things about that gen in fact.
  11. I'm using Blaziken first time and I think people kinda overrate blaziken a bit TBH. Like yeah speed boost, but Blaziken's default speed isn't great and it's kinda squishy which makes it difficult to switch in which can be a hassle playing on set mode. Plus it's stuck with double kick for like the first 5 badges(teaching it brick break helps at least) and Blaze kick's 90% accuracy means Blaziken is subject to choking. Its best moves are either late game or move relearner but for the first 8 hours or so I wasn't quite as impressed with him as I'd hope.
  12. I just did this last night, she's next door to the room with the beds and healing star. I believe it's next to Crawli's office but on the righthand side.
  13. OOh thanks, didn't know! I might need her for later so I'll pick her up, thanks. Is it only a certain time of day or is it all day?
  14. Wait where is that TM? That would certainly be of use but I don't have it. EDIT: sorry for the double post, I haven't been on here in a long time so I'm have some rust regarding how the posting actually works lol.
  15. Hmm worth considering though I'm not sure what item to give? Not a whole lot of berries available atm. But good advice, I totally missed drifloon before. Ribombee too. I didn't even know it was available yet. Being able to change the field would make the fight much easier. I nearly beat her twice tonight's attempts but again, her potion abuse makes Dusclops unkillable. I have to get lucky and hope she burns her potions(usually on mimikyu) before getting to him otherwise I'm screwed. Good advice guys, thanks.
  16. It does help actually, because I didn't know about a hidden leaf stone. I do have a weepinbell with knock off so that can help with dusclops at least. Problem is I have nothing that can change the field in my box. I don't have flash either but that sounds pretty good to use.
  17. Replaying and Narcissca just feels unfair honestly, even moreso than the Mewtwo fight. The problem is that she relies heavily on status, on a field that makes status hard to avoid and the player has absolutely no held items at this point to deal with such, save for a pecha berry at the emporium except she doesn't use poison so w/e. Almost feels like you HAVE to use bag items (something I'm trying not to do)or else the match becomes a RNG fest of whether or not your pokemon wake up from spiritomb or driblim's hypnosis quickly enough. Driftblim also outspeeds anything you have at this point so there's that. Thankfully it doesn't hit too hard, but that doesn't make the "no, you can't play" strat of sleep abuse any less aggravating. Maybe I'm just missing a berry location? 4th gym and I haven't seen a single berry outside the ones in Gearen. I've been playing 6 hours straight fighting her and if I'm lucky I can get her down to Dusclops but at that point it's just too bulky for anything to matter. I got close to beating her a few attempts but then she goes into potion abuse mode. Why does she have like 3-4 potions? I feel like 2 should be enough. I remember her being hard but not this bad, I never had this much trouble with her previous playthroughs. Right now I have Blaziken, Vaporeon, Graveler, A-graveler, shuppet and Pangoro. They got me the furthest so far. I honestly don't know who else to use at this point. this is on set with no bag items btw, so keep that in mind if you have any tips. UPDATE: FINALLY after 12+ hours of failed attempts, team restructures, and self-harm(not the serious kind! I'm fine) I've defeated her!!!! ;_; It so turns out Ariados is quite useful for this gym! It gets insomnia, shadow sneak, AND night shade letting it take advantage of the field quite well. I replaced Kanto-graveler with him which helped out a lot. Thankfully the nightmare is over, and I can sleep soundly tonight. I first tried to add Altaria but....nah it didn't work lol. The idea was to change the field to mist but Altaria just keep getting KO'd too quickly and can't hit hard enough even with mirror move. Ariados ended up working out and I'm glad it did. Thanks to everyone who replied with tips, they were pretty useful ideas and made me notice a lot of stuff I missed. Still gonna see where to get Ribombee, it's one of my favorite pokemon.
  18. Most of old reborn is a shithole let's be honest. I think onyx ward would be the most fun though and probably the safest. Worst you have to deal with is what, Fern and his posse? There's a little roof garden too and it's close to obsidia which is where I figure most would do their shopping. Come to think of it it's the only ward that didn't get utterly wrecked somehow. Outside reborn proper, probably agate or spinel town. Actually the museum seems cool so Spinel town. It's close to the forest too and just seems pleasant even pre-reconstruction For neo reborn, maybe I'd move to obsidia, assuming the slums get fixed. Lots of job opportunity and the park is pretty nice now, plus you can go eat at the SPYCE.
  19. >Hears Walk Like an Egyptian playing

    > Jojo intensifies

  20. Like what musical genre do you think various Reborn characters would have a strong liking to? hardy - classic rock easily titania - symphonic metal aya - Hmm punk? It's even in her trainer title. Maybe an older style of punk, while Cain is more post punk. fern - rap easily, THE genre for big ego "swag jockeys" Cain - post punk, but pop works too. Corey - grunge, actually listening to Soundgarden's The Day I Tried to Live is what got me thinking about this topic. i'll add more later, but feel free to do whoever!
  21. To this day, after multiple playthroughs, that puzzle still gives me issues from time to time. like I sort of get it now but I always end up screwing it up and it takes me like 10 -15 minutes sometimes if not more getting it right. I hate her gym too.
  22. Came back from seeing Captain Marvel. I really liked it, TBH I enjoyed it more than the last avengers movie and homecoming.

    1. Yahen

      Yahen

Yahy watched Cap marvel last week and it was coooooooly cool

Yahy also loved infinity war. Not sure which one i liked more. I ate popcorn on IW but lots of candy on cap marvel

So i'll go with mah gal Carol

  23. I think reborn and really pokemon in general is one of the few games that can consistently push my buttons. I guess part of it is due to how chance based some of it is, but I feel like I get more frustrated playing these games more than I do say fighting games or soulsbourne or whatever. There's just something about pokemon that kills my chill like no other. Funnily enough this isn't the case playing with actual people, just singleplayer. Like I still enjoy them and sometimes they feel relaxing but other times man I get saltier than the pacific ocean. Like an untimely critical, stuff missing when you don't need to, flinching 3+ times in a row...stuff like that. That's where I just lose all cool.
  24. Yeah it would make it easier. 0 and 10s are terrible lol. But idk alolatales was still outspeeding me when I tried it, then again I was probably leading with slow mons.
