I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this given that my last 3 Sewaddles have been Adamant nature. I thought I'd ask just to be sure. Do shadow Pokemon have a fixed nature? I started a new save and I'm about to catch the Froakie. If possible I might soft reset for a Timid nature.

Which gym leader do you think is the strongest so far?
Captain replied to jamesw0102's topic in Reborn City
Without a doubt it was Charlotte before she got nerfed. Kingdra + Rain Dance was my only out, and even then it was far from a guaranteed victory. Her Typhlosion nearly one shot my Kingdra with Eruption. My face when I first saw she had a second Drought Ninetales. Regardless, it was a fun gym battle. Before I even thought about using Rain Dance I tried to power through her using Darmanitan and Flare Blitz. That strategy half worked. Darmanitan one shot half of her team. Only half. After Darmanitan fell it was over. -
Lol. Gem. A grass gem. Derp

Leavanny holding the Quick Claw (and Torterra clutching a 2v1) won me that battle. I did find the Rose inscense. I also found a Miracle Seed and a Grass Gym. Here's my Version 4.3 team. I'm definitely going to create a new save and pick a different starter. I must say that I fell in love with Leavanny. It was my first time using one and I'm glad I did.

That's what I'm trying to do. Leavanny can take 1 Ice Beam from her Politoed. The problem is her Milotic outspeeds my Leavanny. I gave my Leavanny the Quick Claw. Here's hoping for some luck. I got lucky and the Quick Claw activate letting Leavanny ohko the Milotic. Her Lanturn took about 70% from the +2 leaf blade. Edit: Once again Torterra clutches yet another gym battle for me. I was able to leech seed stall her Rotom-W and Slowbro.
-
I'm fighting her now. I almost beat her my first try. I guess I had some luck my first try. I am having some trouble now. Edit: My Adamant Leavanny's Leaf Blade does about 40% to her Lanturn.

That feeling when I beat the level 100 Yveltal. The feels when I see a level 100 Volcarona afterwards

I found a Dusk Stone right before you enter the gate leading to Goldenleaf Town. Jan, Retaliate's effect doesn't work. It does the same damage regardless if a party member fainted the turn before. 2 additional things I've learned while playing Rejuevnation 1. Pidove and it's evolved forms are garbage. A physical Normal/Flying type that doesn't learn any physical Flying moves by level up. It wouldn't be a bad early game Pokemon otherwise. 2. Leavanny is a lot of fun to use. I've never used one before.

I decided to keep talking to people. After talking 200 more times the Spiritomb appeared.
-
I want to trigger the Spiritomb encounter. I'd also like to trigger the secret. Does this not include the people in Goldenleaf Town? I've talked to people over 500 times and nothing has happened.

No. I did abuse it. It was my ability to abuse Truant that gave me a chance at winning that fight. Honestly, if she had had any other normal Pokemon other than Slaking, I wouldn't have been able beat her. I have a Swadloon with Protect and Will o Wisp. After burning the Slaking I switched in my Torterra and used Curse. I was able to sweep after that.
-
Jan, thanks for giving the Normal gym leader a Slaking. If she didn't have a Slaking I would have had no chance at winning.
-
Not that it mattered in the end. I had no chance at winning that fight. Gale Strike ignoring my Graveler's Sturdy, Frogadier living with Sturdy happened in the same fight. Maybe the game got confused? That's cool about Shadow Pokemon. I've been playing on 4.3 since this morning. Everything other than what I mentioned above has been great. And what I've mentioned hasn't been a big deal.

That Haunter was ridiculous. Thankfully I decided to catch a Geodude earlier in the game. I'm currently grinding to get passed the NPC that gives you the second gym badge. - Can somebody tell me what Gale Strike/Force is. I don't remember the exact name. A Hawlucha used it while I was in a battle for the 2nd gym badge. It did not care about my Graveler's Sturdy ability. - I'm not 100% sure about this one because the text went by so fast (I figured I got 1 shot so I was spamming my X key), but I believe my Frogadier survived being 1 shot because of Sturdy. - Final two things. These two things might be old news. I was playing on part 3 because Rock Smash did not work for me on Part 4 and 4.1 When I purified my Froakie it learned X-Scissor and Bounce. When I purified my Sewaddle it learned Will - o - Wisp. Edit: I had some item troubles during battles on part 4 and 4.1. I've used a handful of Chinese Food and Fresh Water on 4.3 without any trouble.

That's what Reverse Candies are for. It's a good idea to stock up on a few. I wouldn't have gotten passed the first gym without them. Chill. No need in being so hostile.
-
Speaking from experience, Rock Slide is more than enough to take on the 11th gym. If I'm thinking of the correct gym leader (10th gym leader), Acrobatics is your friend. Archeops has done me well.
-
I'm standing next to the first rock you need to smash in order to progress. I cannot smash this rock in either part 4 or part 4.1.
-
I soft reset 35 times and not once could I toss a Pokeball. I'm just going to hop back on part 4. I didn't have a problem with using Pokeballs in Part 4.

Blacking out is a great idea. I should have thought of that. Kudos. I am now out of the simulator. I managed to pick up an Adamant Sewaddle while I was in there.
-
Did you find a way out, or did you restart?
-
I am stuck in this doorway. I updated to 4.1 and I am still stuck. Instead of finishing the first simulator, I tried going back to the beginning and talking to the scientist guy. He asks if you want to end the simulator, but I still get stuck. Also, a similar glitch happens in the starting area when you first load a new game. The last maid you talk to before entering the room to see you dad will move to the left so you can enter. If you choose not to enter the room and instead go back the way you came, the maid will reset in front of the door blocking your path. Also, is the red haired woman in one of the apartments supposed to have a level 93 Alakazam? What a shock that was. This isn't me complaining. I'm just curious.
-
With a bit of luck, I was able to get up a Reflect and 3 Charms with my Prankster Meowstic. Afterwards I would send in Kricketune and use Screech 3 times. At this point his Garchomp is doing no damage. Slaking was easily able to clean up with Play Rough.
-
That first gym battle was nuts. Thanks to some RNG I was able to win the fight between our last Pokemon. I am playing on the harder difficulty. I'm really looking forward to continuing this game when I wake up. It's 1:40am and I just beat the first gym. I've earned my rest.

A challenge mode in Pokemon? Thank you very much! I'm downloading the game as I type this. This should be a lot of fun.

My only complaint is the lightning. Day or night it is brutal on my eyes. Other than that I love everything about Reborn. It's become my favorite Pokemon game.
