  1. I have a Wii U, MK8 and Smash 4. I haven't touched them in about 2 weeks. Other than Pokemon Reborn, I've been playing a lot of Dark Souls. I'm buying a PS4 soon so I'll be buying the re release of Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne. Maybe GTAV
  2. As far as damage, Retaliate would be better given the right situation. While Slaking has turned out to be a great revenge killer, it doesn't always get to revenge kill. I'd rather have Return for a solid 120 BP Stab. Hell, Strength is doing really well on Slaking as far as damage goes. It even surprises me sometimes. I'll definitely give Bounce a try. Wide Lens seems like a nice item. You're right, Gyarados doesn't have a better item to hold.
  3. Slaking is my favorite Pokemon. Slaking has become more of a revenge killer for me. It revenge kills very well. As for its moveset: Yawn is there because I didn't really have anything else to put on it. I also wanted to see if Yawn was still buggy. Strength is there because it was an HM. Who better, on my team, to have Strength? I'll consider going back when I can and breeding TMs. If I do, I'll just breed Return onto Slaking and keep it as my revenge killer. Using Curse on Slaking doesn't appeal to me. Headbutt is there on Darmanitan simply because it learned it while leveling up. Although it does get a boost from Sheer Force, I rarely use it. Post Ep-12 Darmanitan doesn't have much to learn. Double fire stab is kinda nice. Why take a chunk of recoil when you know your Sheer Force boosted Fire Punch will do the trick? If I decide to go back to Ep12 and breed TMs I'll lose Fire Punch for something else. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Sheer Force negate the ability of Flame Charge? For your second sentence, are you referring to Dragon Claw on Archeops? If so, you do make a good point. I just really like U-turn. Stocking up on Flying Gems is a great idea. I just reached Agate so I'll probably teach Gyarados Bounce. I've never liked the move, but it's worth a try. I'll definitely be giving Gyarados Waterfall once I get it. I'm not too far from it. I considered health investment before I EV trained. I got lazy and decided to keep it simple. I'll probably finish up episode 14 and do some more breeding afterwards. I'll probably take your advice on the health investment. Again, Headbutt is there simply because it learned it while leveling up. Ice Punch is a great idea. I'll do that after I finish up episode 14. You are correct. I'll use the move relearner in Agate Circus to swap the moves. That would require Ep-12 TM Breeding. Also I'm in Agate Circus atm. I'll probably do some Ep-12 breeding after I finish episode 14. The idea of a High Jump Kick, Zen Headbutt, and my choice of two elemental punches with Life Orb really appealed to me. I have tried this in a previous save file. It wasn't as fun as I expected. Medicham's speed was the biggest factor. It's just one EV. I just couldn't be bothered to care. I'll consider Galvantula after I finish episode 14. That is, if I don't fall in love with Durant. For now, I'm content with my physical attackers
  4. I do wish Shofu would edit his Reborn videos. Since his return, most of his Reborn videos consist of him trying to figure out a puzzle or backtracking. Personally, I don't want to watch someone try and figure out a puzzle or backtrack for 20+ minutes. Just cut to the end of the puzzle/where it is you're going. I think if Shofu would edit those parts, maybe add a death montage when he loses to the gym leaders multiple times (keeping the commentary of course), his Reborn videos would be a lot more entertaining. Maybe he doesn't care to do that. Maybe he can't. IDK. It's just something I've been thinking about. Could you imagine if Shofu played a game like Dark Souls?
  5. I used to love Shofu's Reborn playthrough. It was his playthrough that introduced me to Reborn. Any episode that had Archer in the background was a great episode. I guess Reborn was easier back then? Ever since his return it's been nothing but a bitch fest with a side of ignorance and incompetence. I can't even bring myself to read the comments of his Reborn videos anymore. I think a lot of Shofu's subscribers try to be Shofu. If Shofu bitches about something, the majority of the commenters will follow. Used to, when Shofu would upload a Reborn video I would get excited. I used to enjoy watching him play while I played. Now, I just don't really care anymore. It's kind of a bummer. I like watching playthroughs of video games I enjoy playing.
  6. Gyarados learned Crunch naturally. ORAS moves have been implemented for some time now. If we were talking about competitive battles then I would agree. Because this is PVE, even though it is Reborn, I don't see any Pokemon walling my team. Obviously, individually, they can get walled, but that's why you switch out. I'm about to fight Luna. I look forward to finishing episode 14 with this team. I had a Meowstic on my team during the early parts of episode 14. It was fun to use. Meowstic, with Prankster, helped me defeat the level 75 Garchomp. But I moved on. I also have an Alakazam in my PC I can breed anytime. If I feel the need to.
  7. But physical power conkers all! Roserade does sound nice. Roserade sounds better than Venusaur. The thing is, If I did breed my Budew I would want Sludge Bomb on it. However, I don't want to go back to episode 12 and breed TMs. I know I can go back and breed some crazy movesets for my Pokemon, but I feel it would make the game too easy. I'm content to wait until better TMs become available. Honestly, not even Reborn can't handle so much physical power. I have to say I didn't expect people to talk about previous episodes and TM breeding. I think if I had my current team with competitive movesets the game wouldn't be a challenge anymore. Maybe that's foolish of me. I'm content to wait for the TMs to be released. Hell, if I'm lucky Ame will grace Episode 15 with TM Return. If that's the only TM I got, I'd be happy.
  8. It's only 3 Pokemon. Lostelle has a bulky Azumarill and a Manetric. Flying Pokemon shouldn't give him any trouble. The more I look at your Roserade the more I want to breed my Budew. I see that you bred Sludge Bomb onto your Roserade. Are you using a previous episode? If so, out of curiosity, which one?
  9. Honestly, I don't see any physically defensive Pokemon walling my team. It is PVE afterall. That's not to say that I'm not open to using a special attacker. I am. The challenge with finding a special attacker is finding one I enjoy using. I've thought about Galvantula, but I already have a bug type. I've thought about Kingdra, but I already have a water type. Actually, if I count Froakie, I have two water types. I do have Venusaur I can use at any time. Originally, after seeing first hand just how powerful Roserade is (Thanks, Fern.) I caught a Budew and had planned on breeding it. That was until I found out that Budew evolved via friendship. I don't like friendship evolutions.
  10. I'm posting this because I want to showcase my Reborn team. Feel free to comment, rate and make suggestions all you want. Though I must say, I'm rather picky with the Pokemon I choose to use. The Pokemon I have listed below are some of my favorites. That's why I use them. Nature: Adamant Ability: Truant Item: Silk Scarf - Yawn - Strength - Play Rough - Night Slash Ev's: 0/252/0/0/0/252 Iv's: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Nature: Jolly Ability: Sheer Force Item: Charcoal - Headbutt - Fire Punch - Flare Blitz - Super Power Ev's 0/252/0/0/0/252 Iv's: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Nature: Jolly Ability: Defeatist Item: No item - Crunch - U-turn - Rock Slide - Acrobatics Ev's 0/252/0/0/0/252 Iv's: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Nature: Jolly Ability: Moxie Item: No Item - Crunch - Ice Fang - Aqua Tail - Dragon Dance Ev's: 0/252/0/0/0/252 Iv's: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Nature: Jolly Ability: Moxie Item: Black Belt - Crunch - Headbutt - Dragon Dance - High Jump Kick Ev's: 0/252/0/0/0/252 Iv's: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Nature: Jolly Ability: Hustle Item: Silver Powder - Crunch - Bug Bite - X-Scissor - Iron Head Ev's: 0/252/0/0/0/252 Iv's: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Pokemon Reborn is the first Pokemon game I have played that I've even considered have other Pokemon in rotation. Possible Rotation Pokemon: Nature: Modest Ability: Chlorophyll Item: Miracle Seed - Leech Seed - Petal Dance - Double Edge - Sleep Powder Ev's: 0/0/0/252/0/252 Iv's: 31/31/31/31/31/31 At the moment, Venusaur's moveset is quite poor IMO. I'm thinking about catching the Vulpix and breeding a Drought Vulpix to go along with this Venusaur. I'll swap Petal Dance for Solar Beam when that happens, of course. I also have a Froakie, Meditite and an Eevee that I have yet to train. Froakie, at this point in the game (my next gym battle will be Luna) is quite lackluster IMO. Once I get into the later stages of the game where I can teach Froakie a more diverse special attacking moveset that can take advantage of it's fantastic ability, I'll probably go back and forth between it and Gyarados. The Eevee was bred for the sole purpose of becoming a bulky (252HP / 252Sp.Def) Umbreon for some fun. My plan was to use a very troll moveset against the Arceus for some laughs. I was burned out on breeding and Ev training and I just decided to proceed without Umbreon. As for the Arceus, Scrafty took care of it with ease. Meditite is a Jolly 252Atk/252Spd Poke that was bred to be a physical attacking Medicham with a very diverse moveset while holding the life orb. The idea of this Medicham still sounds fun to me so I will more than likely finish its Ev training. As for now, I've come to really like Scrafty.
