  1. I normally save before every single trainer battle I encounter, it's a practice since Gen 1. That way I can swap my leads around depending on the opponent, back then it was for type advantage now it's to make sure the right EVs go to the right Pokemon. I'm positive I'm not alone in this practice. Double battles obviously screw with this. 1) I did not have all my battle line up with me as I was training some other Pokes when I got locked up and 2) there's no access to a computer to swap my team around. The storyline shuttles you along into a confrontation with Team Xen and you cannot reenter Goldenleaf. For example, with Sharon and Eli, they lead with Solrock and Lunatone when defeated offer up 2 Atk and 2 SpA EVs respectively. There's no way around this, unless I deliberately let specific Pokemon faint, but I'll get beaten for sure. I'll just eventually run out of Pokemon. I did that with them earlier in the game, but at this juncture, it was not a feasible option. After them, it's Geara. I soft reseted a lot to try various combinations with what I had on hand, but after 90 mins or so, I grew tired. Ah well. I'm hoping there's some EV reducing items in V5 heh.
  2. Double battles in Wispy Tower ruined, up until this point, my carefully EV trained pokemon.... =(
  3. I haven't progressed that far as to encounter the mining aspect of the game yet. Yep my Helioptile has Thunderbolt. I've been abusing the crap out of Reverse Candies and a certain trainer in Gearen with the level 90+ team, the two of which account for my poverty. I figured the ORAS mechanics were in play, which is why I've pimped my Linoones to 51 with that now 10% for a Sun Stone. 30 mins of aimlessly hitting Pokes in Corta Forest has netted me several heal items, a Heart Scale, 2 Moon Stones and that delicious shiny Sun Stone. Going back to my original question though, seems like the mechanic is slightly amiss as I've gotten nothing from walking about for half a day but items are being collected with relative ease after battling wild Pokes. Hmmm that 10% is looking suspicious to me.
  4. No idea what mining ingame is. I'm guessing that's a side dish somewhere down the road. Thanks. As for the Linoone levels, like I stated, those are NOT part of my battling lineup, they're at that level solely for the item collecting. I'm broke as fuck. I also want a Sun Stone in order to evolve my Helioptile. Haven't played Reborn yet, something I must get round to doing when I get a little bit more spare time.... Has Pickup always worked this way? I'm pretty sure I can remember riding a bike up and down like a hooligan in one the games from Gen 3 onwards with several Pokes that have Pickup and reaping the rewards of free items. Ah well. Thanks.
  5. Two questions if I may. 1) Is Light Clay in V4.4? If not, will it be introduced in V5? Really want one for my Dual Screen Meowstic-F. 2) Is the ability Pick Up working correctly? I have 3 level 51 Linoone's (took a while to grind them that high, way higher than anything I have in my battling line up heh) with Pick Up in my party and ran around for a total of 11 hours without them picking a darn thing up. P.S. Just acquired my third badge.... Marionette was pretty brutal, hands down the hardest fight I've encountered so far in Rejuvenation. It was a fun battle though, looking forward to seeing what else is in store.
  6. Not sure if it's intentional or not, but this is the second Hard Stone I've found. The first is in Amethyst Cave to the right side of the area where the gangs fight. Don't have a screenie of it's exact location unfortunately.
  7. Oh Vaporeon for sure. I love the move Acid Armour. Espeon and Umbreon would probably be a joint second.
  8. My younger brother used to tell me about this cartoon called Pokemon around 15 years ago. I had no clue what he was on about. Some time afterwards I was being a moron in the school playground. I ended up with broken legs and tried to walk it off, resulting in multiple spiral fractures and a 2 week stay in hospital. Coincidentally a school friend who had just moved to another school 6 months previously joined the ward I was in with his own leg issues. There, he lent me Pokemon Blue. I played it, I remember he was in Mt Moon with a Charmeleon. I did not have any idea what I was meant to be doing or what this game entailed. I quickly swapped it out for Super Mario and for the first time in my life, I completed that game. I do recall being quite emotional at that feat. Funny how I remember that now.... Anyway, I also started watching the animated programme in the hospital. When I was finally discharged, my brother had got my parents to buy him the Red version. We both carried on watching the Ash on his adventures, it was a ritual. I was off from school for a year, in order to recuperate. My brother also briefly got interested in TCG too and showed me with some pride his shiny cards. That summer, Pokemon Yellow was released and I pleaded with my father to buy me that game with a GBC. So he did, had to use my incapacitated state to my advantage right? I spent most of that summer completing Yellow. I do remember racking up over a 100+ hours of gameplay. No Missingo cheat after all. Several years later my brother stole the Crystal version from a friend's house. It was in French, so he didn't want it, but seeing as I know the language I quickly set about playing it. It was pretty difficult juggling my then severe addiction to Pokemon and studying for GCSEs, which for those of you not UK based, are the final exams taken at the end of secondary/high school. I fell in love with Pokemon all those years ago. Even though life has moved on from the simple times of high school, I've always managed to get around to playing one of the versions when possible. Now that I'm a lot older and shit gets real, I don't have the time nor the inclination to devote so much of my resources to playing games, but I still love the franchise and always will.
  9. I expect nothing less good sir
  10. Thank you for all your warm welcomes. I agree with you Yash. My kid brother owned Red but the first version I ever owned outright was Yellow. Played that with my new GBC. Damn, were those good days. Oh and for my sanity? That has dissipated long ago.
  11. Hello all, First of all, Jan. I haven't played independent versions of Pokemon before, but I caught a glimpse of your game on YouTube. Watched a few episodes of people playing it and thought to myself, well that is interesting. I'll have to try it out. I must say, well done. A very well done. The story is completely engrossing and I love the difficulty of it. Finally a game to really challenge players. It is refreshing. Although I have not played Reborn so I cannot comment on that particular game nor compare the two. A great job and I am looking forward to seeing the progression of this game. Just a couple of things. I am running Version 4.4 in Challenge mode and in the Rare Pokemon quest in Sheridan Village the NPC who is meant to be in the Gearen City Pokemart is not there. Is that still an ongoing issue? I was running V4 before but got stuck in the doorway with the TARDIS. I reverted to V3 to get out then later updated to V4.4, if that helps at all. Also in whatever Version you bring out next, please update the EV training centre! Pretty please? I've always had the habit of EV training Pokemon since Gen 3, so to have this function available has naturally spoiled me. And I am most grateful for it. I'd really like to request that SpA and SpD be put in.... Training Grimer as a Special Wall is a tad boring. Will EV reducing Items be introduced later?
  12. Hello and good afternoon. My name is Nate, that shouldn't be much of a surprise. I'm new here, mainly because I picked up Pokemon Rejuvenation several weeks ago and tracked it back to this site. I will try to play Reborn at some point, just awfully busy. I first played Pokemon Blue (Google that kids) 15 years ago, when I was lying in hospital with shattered legs and an old school friend with a popped knee cap was in the bed next to me passed me his Gameboy (Google that one again) and said, I have to play this. For I didn't know what I was missing out on. From that moment on, it went on to watching the animated show of Pokemon in that same hospital to playing the different versions sporadically down the years. I still get that tingle of excitement whenever I play a new version for the very first time. So that's that. My interests are extremely broad, from the usual benign things such as music (literally every genre and language except reggaeton) and the occasional gaming, to literature, performing arts, country walks and travel. I'd be here for the rest of my life trying to list everything so just drop me a line if you want to know more. Regards, Nate
