well would use makuhita rather than mankey. cause yeah mankey is just too meh. and makuhita can at least take a few hits and if it has the guts ability it be awesome as cain will most likely change the mist at coral ward to corrosive mist. i would grind a little so that most of your mons are at least lvl 20. anyways good luck with corey. he will 100% be a bigger hurdle than cain. well unless you insert/trade a ralts/meditite before the the battle. Also good luck with the whole run.

hmm maybe seattle is going out but yeah i wont do that until after charlotte at least XD. Also i don't think anyone is going out seattle is most probably going to be a sub. no archen yet ? hmm by noel you should be able to get archen via the spinel museum event. well good luck with ditto arceus.

just aim the eevee evolution(glaceon,umbreon and espeon) with pancham. well pancham can at least handle galecon and umbreon with fighthing type moves. also i would grind a bit so that most of your mons are at least lvl 28 or so. also a soundpoof whismur/loudred will help vsing taka's chatot.

well you can Start a new game and do a mono run or something, breed some crazy oped mons to help you with next gym,try to some how complete your pokedex. Also you can always trade mons in the trading thread here if you want mons which don't have an in game event cause you already have beaten samson and if you want to trade without any of those restriction like no trading 2 or more mystery egg mons ect ect you can trade here

well i used perish song prankster murkrow for all bosses now. but.. i used a tank noctowl+a bunch of ghost type with grudge and a hariyama with close combat on my first try took ages reason why i just use murkrow now. saves time and is so easy to breed just grab a swabulu with perish song and breed it murkrow. swablu can be found by headbutting trees at south aventurine woods. murkrow can be found on windy days at the magma/aqua gang hide out.

well the games RNG hates you i guess. you will find it eventually, just need more time and luck. and nope the number of items in a rock does not affect the likely hood of finding the odd keystone. i found mine while mining at tarzan depths and there were 3 item. you can find the odd keystone at any mining rocks you just need a little luck.

well reborn shiny sprites are different if you want to see if your shiny Espeon is the same as every1 just head off to this thread HERE i am sure some 1 has posted a shiny espeon.

lolz covet steals items well technically borrow items cause you cant steal items from trainers in reborn sigh. well i used a makuhita to wreck flobot's cradily. so yeah i would get a fighting type in your team as soon as possible. mankey is just too frail, i tried using him and he is just not worth using. makuhita can at least take a few hits.

gratz on defeating shade.now i m sure Charlotte or Aya is gonna be your next big hurdle till than good luck with the rest of you journey in reborn. Oh and also be careful day care can delete moves which you want to keep so you should always look at what moves your mons in the daycare would learn. say you left the ampharos in daycare at lvl 37 and say it lvled up by 3 lvls to lvl 40 and learn discharge. the daycare will delete your the first move on ampharos and ampharos will learn discharge.to make things simple here is a diagram: 1)T wave<---this move will be deleted by the daycare couple if you pokemon learns a new move 2)T punch 3)Power gem 4)Confuse Ray so yeah just be careful cause the daycare couple are ruthless at deleting moves do not know what are the best moves and the moves you want. so always put moves you don't want at the first slot.

poor poor me my forum name is Luna not pokemaniac. hmm well daycare depends on the number of steps you take 1 step=1 exp reason why hopping on a bike would speed things up.Lolz hard to get broke with the current reborn cause of re battle trainers in grand hall and if you save before every gym battles/boss battles. common candy trick is awesome if you want to get move at higher lvls or if you missed a move and do not want to use a heart scale/ do not have access to move re learner. but yeah light screen is at lvl 30 kinda far back which means a lot more grinding. and will-o-wisp is a good move to replace scratch.well once your are done grinding you should lower delphox lvl to 40 so that it can be used at shades gym.also you can teach charge beam to Ampharos.

prolly the nature of delphox is hindering it from OHOKing gengar and maybe Evs of the delphox is not in the right place( most starters EV are random XD) nope reason why delphox is not OHOking gengar is not what i said, it is because delphox is ignoring orders... meh Also just use delphox for gengar,duoblade and trevenant. you can use your other dark pokemons mightyena and houndoom to handle banette and his other pokemons. well you can get ability capsules with pick up but.. that is gonna take awhile well not really just dump 2 female/male meowth with pick up in the day care and hop on bike and go round in circles and you will get a few lvl 61 meowth.when training/ grinding always have a few pick up pokemon in your team it kinda helps as u can get tons of stuff with pick up. i usually put 4-5 meowth with pick up in my team when i m grinding/EV training. here is the pick up table for reborn.why meowth and not other pick up pokemon is because meowth has the best move ever to farm $$ payday. Meowstick M should be good with prankster. well meowstic M is an awesome support with light screen, reflect, misty terrain. have these 3 moves on your meowstick M and he can be super useful everywhere. misty terrain changes the field to not favor the gym leader. light screen and Reflect makes your whole team a little tanky. well i wont bother using screen on samsons team cause most of his mons pack brick break and brick break+ screen= bad Also you do not need to bench your delphox just use common candy. i already said it in my first post guess i was ignored oh well. common candy lowers your pokemon lvl by 1 you can get them at the candy store here is a screen shot of the candy store:

well you do not really need to have perfect IV or even Ev train to complete this game well besides Pre Nerf Charlotte oh my she was hell forced me to Ev train tanky mons but now she is manageable . if you want to learn more bout IV/ breeding head to this thread Here. Now as i said u can train at the underground railnet those black spot which woobats spawn endlessly is an awesome spot to train dark types as those woobats are just lvl 20 and can be OHKOed with dark type moves. if you do not know where these woobats spawn just see the spoiler below. I would train up a mareep as it is an awesome electric type early and late game. yes you should replace houndoom and Mightyena. water type like whishcash/ludicolo would be good. A better psychic type other than munna would be Meowstic M/Meowstick F/woobat with calm mind and simple ability. You cant get the move tutor house key until you get the HM strength for the later episodes but you do not need the house key in the earlier episodes. you can find some copies of the older/earlier episode in the forums just use the search you should be able to find old links. but yeah i rather not do that cause it is risky to go back to older episodes. so you will have to wait until after you get HM strength to re learn light screen.

well u can always train where woobats spawn woobats are easy to kill if u have a dark type. the grass around Beryl cemetery is and ok spot you can get Fearow in the day and Arbok/Noctowl at night.

well first and for most welcome to the forums and i hope you enjoy your journey in Reborn. EVs and IVs are not that important in this game imho but yeah just get a good IV ditto and you should be ok when breeding. Breeding guide is HERE and EV training locations in game is HERE. HERE is a guide to help you with you game if you do not want to get spoiled or just wanna play the game casually dont click. you can trade HERE for after you have 10 badges and HERE at any point of the game.hmm other thing you might need hmm ah a pokemon location guide HERE and item location guide HERE Ok now for some stuff you can consider doing with your team. Meowstic M is a good support pokemon. he can learn light screen/Reflect and misty terrain. Misty terrain can be useful if you want to change the field to your advantage. Light screen and Reflect are awesome and can help you in most battles. The reason why meowstick M is such an awesome support pokemon is his ability prankster which give +1 priority to non atking moves i.e Light screen. Meowstick M can set up screen fast and well before any attacks it due to the prankster ability. Damage wise meowstick M is not that great in the later parts of the game because there other better psychic pokemons like Gardevoir/Alakazam/Rueniclus. For boss battles i would breed a Prankster Murkrow with perish song this kills off most bosses easily. you need a fire and a grass type in your team. i would add Roselia/Roserade in and Camerupt/Rk9/growlithe for early fire types and Darmanitan as a late game fire type. I would replace shuppet and Onix for the fire and grass type. Also in reborn it is good to have a back up/sub team you can run with just a 6 mon team but it be hard if cause all teams have weakness and there is no harm in having subs as they are easy to train up with the unlimited battle you can do at grand hall after shade i think. also there are unlimited trainers at agate circus in the later parts of the game. Pachirisu is a good electric type but Ampharos/Eelektross would be a better late game electric type. you might also want to replace the Kricketune at some point of the game with a fighting type like Scraggy/Hariyama/Heracross/Machamp/lucario. hmm that all i think well good luck and hope you enjoy you game play of reborn.

@SicknTwisted well first train up your mons to round lvl 40 and lower your Delphox lvl with common candy so it obey you. well the lvl cap right now is lvl 40 and there is no point in having a pokemon which does not obey your orders. You can buy common candies from the candy store at Obsidia ward. train up Mightyena by killing the Woobats at the under ground railnet they should be around lvl 20 and can be 1 shotted and give speed EV too which can be useful. you can also train Pangoro and Houndoom there too. well u just need to train up than you should be able to beat shade. i used a lvl 39 Mightyena to sweep most of his team(but i ev trained atk and speed so yeah). Modifications to your team: Delphox Lv40( use 7 common candies) Item: Soothe Bell Abilitiy: Magician Nature: Bold 1) Scratch replace with other moves light screen is good as suggested by timtim 2) Mystical Fire 3) Flamethrower 4) Psyshock Mightyena Lv39 Item: N/A Ability: Quick Feet Nature: Lax 1) Bite 2) Swagger 3) Assurance 4) Scary Face Houndoom Lv39 Item: N/A Ability: Early Bird Nature: Quirky 1) Bite 2) Odor Sleuth 3) Beat Up 4) Fire Fang Pangoro Lv 39 Item: Fist Plate Ability: Scrappy Nature: Naive 1) Body Slam 2) Slash 3) Circle throw 4) Vital Throw Wihiscash lvl 39 Item:None Ability:any ability will do Nature:the nature your barboach has 1) Earthquake 2) Aqua tail 3) Rest 4) Amnesia Filler for 6th slot Lead with Either houndoom or Mightyena. sweep everything he sends out and when he sends out rotom send in whiscash. set up a few Amnesia and rest when you need if not just Aqua tail him. whiscash can take hits cause well with Amnesia it is quite tanky against special attackers. Meh you current team is kinda bad in term of typing are you doing some duo mono type run or something. Well i suggest training some other pokemons after you beat shade if not u will certainly have trouble with other gyms.

nope water mono does not leave you high and dry early you have Marshtomp with damp and lightning rod Goldeen to stomp Julia and you can get Wingull early now so flobot wont be so hard. hmm normal mono should be fun as you have a lot to choose from. well i would go for ground mono since you can choose a few starter( well just 2 but yeah least u have a choice). also you can get a numel early which can be useful against flobot and you can get nidoran which is also awesome against flobot. throw in a onix to make a 4 mon team you should be ok early game and by corey you can get a bunnelby. ground mono seem viable.

The problem here is you cant get a drought Ninetales early any more in E15 unless you have a copy of E14 or any Episode earlier. not a problem cause i m sure there are links of earlier episodes lurking around in the forums. well i would go for solar power special Charizard cause there are better physical fire types available in game like Darmanitan,RK9,Flareon,Rapidash.

hmm least heracross and fenakin would be quite useful but yeah you get them in late game. heracross with moxie would certainly help against luna's gym.Good luck with Ciel you are so gonna have fun since you dont have anything which can hit any of her mons with super effective moves. Oh and Question: Can you breed the event mons you get?

yeah pre nerf Charlotte was hell that energy ball. gratz on beating the hardest gym in game. well i still think Charlotte is the hardest gym leader in reborn even after nerf.

hard mode eh ok since no one suggested a starter yet i will suggest a starter. Use Chikorita as a starter. Good luck have fun enjoy the "awesomeness" of starting and using a Chikorita until the end of the game. You must put Chikorita in end goal team in order to make the game fun.

u need a meowstick M to set up screen fast before Charlotte mons move. reason why you need a meowstic M with prankster screens,trickroom and maybe rain dance to make everything go your way. and why not use a heatproof bronzong?

used Meowstick M to set up screens also thus making it able to take hits. prankster helped in setting up the screens. so prankster is some what necessary when running a meowstick M with only support moves.meh my bad should have elaborated more on the strategy cause i assumed most people will run screens+light clay on most support Meowstick M.

well trick room+ gigalith using rock slide usually works for me. cause gigalith will be the super fast under trick room.
