Well for early game I would say this could be used(this is to max lvl 30 or so) Starter A poison type(gulpin,trubbish,grimer,ekans with intimidate) Blitzle/Mareep(I think both are good early,mareep excels later with evolution),although many later sack ampharos for magnezone Growlithe(unless you are having a fire type as a starter,but even than it can still help I suppose) Espurr/Meowstic male prankster perhaps? I didnt use that but many did Kricketune with Technitian+furry cutter,well this really rocks early game but tangrowth was "nerfed" so to say,it doesnt have its field now so it really isnt a challenge anymore Perhaps a fighting type like Makuhita,Pancham or sth. I didnt use them but many do.

I wouldnt take the Noibat, you can catch it later on lvl 35 or so when its close to evolving. I always make a early team from the event pokemon I encounter in the city. For the first gym I had Grovyle(starter),Pansear,Gulpin(amazing guy),Blitzle(lvl 15 event) and Espurr.

Why are the original game such crap compared to this? Why do I need to suffer while waiting for the next episode ,ok not that.

Just like the others said,put someone infront for the hyper beam(softreset until it doest) and one flare blitz should be enough to kill it,I did it with my Arcanine

I did have a bit of trouble in my first game savefile,the fast togekiss with the flinches caught me a bit off guard,and the semi dmg seaking didnt put as much work vs the gliscor as I hoped. As my team on the first save was really slow,and not that good in balance (Delphox,Gigalith,Drapion,Seaking,Hariyama and Gardevoir), I was kind of forced to use my Delphox almost only on the Togekiss to steal her hold item.After that Gigalith saved me,was really glad I had him in the team,after few softresets got the tactic right. The second run was pretty easy. Was debating to box sceptile or not,but I kept it and was happy with the decision. Leaf storm or leaf blade demolished the gliscor and archeops(crits helped), and ampharos destroyed 3 more members. Ampharos died to Mega Altaria,but the intimidate from Arcanine made her almost useless with the weak eq.The other 3 members were pretty much collecting dust in that match.

Well,perhaps you have some Pokemon with disharge? That move is required to start the machine(perhaps also some other move,but I know for this one). If you have,try to use it yourself. Or you can bait the AI by using water type pokemon,so the electrode tries with that discharge and on next turn you simply kill it.

I would also love the cellphone thing. Not just because of rebattles,but to talk with some of the leaders. Also the option to call Fern...And call him just to tell him how bad he is and that he sucks...I would pay 50 000 for a cellphone just to contact him and annoy him all day long.

Pretty much the topic name says it all. I was creeping around this forum for a while, and now that I actually got some posts might be a good time to say a proper hello to everyone. I dont know how to casually intruduce myself on the internet, its so easier in real life so uhm... this will be like an interview of some sort. So who am I? Well, my ingame name for most of the games is CrazySheriff, but I also tend to use here and there Motko, which is my real life nickname. Some basic info and general interests? Male. 20 years old from Croatia. Ok that was such a formal start,really hate to write about myself haha. I have a bit of everything that I enjoy. I like watching some sports, but lately mostly watch some racing stuff like f1 and dtm. I also love watching anime and reading manga from in my spare time,watched around 100 series so far. I also love hanging out with friends and drinking from time to time (uh oh being a bad example for the minors), not really into going out into clubs, too expensive for my taste. Why do I play Pokemon games? Hmm. Not easy to answer. I liked Pokemon games back in my childhood, but in my highschool I dropped it for some action or racing games and after a while for Lol. But after a long while, I simply got sick of it. I was really tired of multiplayer games because it was so hard to find good communities. I mostly play to win, pretty much to be the best , but I also love to have fun with friends or strangers. Playing for example cod games,or Lol, trying to be on the top of the leaderboard while all the opponents or your own teammates accuse you for cheating or mention your family in a bad way really urges me to just drop the game for good. After getting on a good math college this year I realised that I need a bit of a change, and nostalgia brought me back to Pokemon. So not really into Pokemon like some other people? Pretty much. I do have a ton of pokemon stuff, from mini figures, cards, plushes, and even a Gameboy Ruby version,but thats all from my childhood. After getting older I did forget everything connected to Pokemon. I do think of myself as a tiny Pokemon fan, I read some mangas, play some games now but not really a hardcore player, I like to play like a casual guy, random teams on showdown here and there for a little fun. How did I find Pokemon reborn? I dont follow Shofu, but I did find this game from his videos. Googled some pokemon games and yeah, found some video around part 50 or so and was like "wow, this seems to be long and interesting, I may aswell try it out". But I dont like Shofu. I mute most of the time, I really just want to slap him when he yells "this is stupid". Anything else to add? Ummm... not much. Just want to say that I am glad that I found this game. I did almost quit on the first gym lol, but as my "be the best" mind said no and urged me to try a different approach, I actually started learning about pokemon mechanics, types and stuff. As a casual player, I didnt really know all the pokemon types and their weaknesses beforehand,but I got the hang of it by playing. I also really enjoy the amount of pokemon you can just find by lurking in the city in different time, and I would love to have even more event pokemon (especially later, but I guess ep16 brings a lot of sidequests for that? ) And now, after the second playthrough finished I can say that I have a lot more knowledge and I can prouldy say that I managed to beat The Garchomp and also Mewtwo in rejuvenation, even if that is not such an achievement Sorry for posting such a lame introduction but oh well, dont judge I am bad with this

I wasnt some spoiled brat, but I did have lots of plushes (is that the word ?) in my childhood. I actually still have them, stored somewhere in the basement. I just couldnt throw all of them away, and I would love one day,probably in 50 years or so, to have some kids and have them play with those. This was my all time favorite from the collection of mostly pokemon and digimon, my Hawky. Yeah....not good with names. From Hawkmon to Hawky. Very original.

Pretty good work with the spoiler thing. As someone said,did get a bit spoiled by topic names,but it is kind of hard to write something without giving info and still showing what the topic is about(still people should try not to put stuff like taka,lapras etc in their name,atleast for now) . I did see something once or twice on the status updates which spoiled a bit,but people reacted fast and said something like "pls dont spoil" etc. All the other people were fair and correct and if they said something, it wasnt anything of value and was only teasing us which was fun.

Wow nice topic, always wanted to find something like this. Will you be playing them from start to pretty much finish or just a bit to get the general idea? Also I didnt see anyone posting or saying about it,so perhaps check this site,it might help. I would say take mareep,just played with it this ep and ampharos has got movepool(elec,rock,bug,dragon,supp stuff). If you dont mind being slow its really good,it can take hits without a problem.

I had luck and it was my first encounter. I found a few on the first or second part of the cave,just after abra teleports you(so before seeing the big steelix). Depends on the luck probably

I would go with growlithe aswell,especially because it gets xp boost in e15 so you shouldnt have much trouble leveling to something decent.Perhaps also mareep(like growlithe,should have xp boost) or blitzle,both can para some stuff and can evolve before the gym.

Machop can also be found on route 2 nvm mixed machop and machoke facepalm,

Wow nicely going! I use repels and dont reset for any pokemon so far,but I still didnt see any shinies and I am facing Noel already. Keep up the good work,looks fun

EDIT: nvm,found a bit older save and looks like I managed to bug it somehow,will post in the bug section,pls ignore this. Hello there,I may be stuck in the meteor base in the mountains(where Laura is held in prison). I may be missing something,but I cant get the scene with Saphira where she turns off the pc or something and then the double battle starts vs the meteor grunts. I did talk to her and Laura in the prison area,she said to meet in the control room or something but yeah,no there.

Only for boss battles (like the garchomp) or rarely if some event pokemon that I always wanted gets terrible ivs,like 0 in the area I need. If its 10+ I dont care,dont need perfect mons
