  1. Nothing major... But Zetta's VS sprite got a lil glow up! Felt it might be good to give his portrait a bit of a cleaning.
  2. We're still working on the game! Even if all the IRL stuff is a bunch of hot garbage that's slowing down progress, the project hasn't come to a total standstill. In fact, Jan is still making slow but steady progress on maps (and some updates), and the balance nerds (aka Azery and Alex) have been helping change the encounter rosters for each location to include Gen 8 mons, as well has started to change up teams for fights. And, I myself spent the past 4 days or so finishing a huge chunk of the work that was on my own to-do list! The last major thing I still have to do is the cover art really, aside from that it's only a handful of minor things, and working on completing all the Gmax form sprites for the gen 8 project. It's a lot of busywork, but it's still work that needs to happen nonetheless. I took some time this week to put everything in a row what'll be in V13 in terms of content and... I know I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but V13 is absolutely fucking huge. It might sound like an exaggeration, but there's just so much LMAO..... I sincerely can't describe it any other way. We've still got a lot of work ahead of us, and trust me when I say that the patience you guys have is very, very much appreciated. We know it's getting close to a year since V12 came out, but development for V13 started late due to us waiting for SwSh to release for the Gen 8 implementation, so everything's just taking a little longer than usual! On a final note, we won't go on total radio silence! When the time is right, we'll probably be showing off some more stuff when we've gotten further with development. Or we'll just tease you guys a little bit because it can't be a proper Rejuv dev cycle without the occasional messing around, now can it? Once again, thank you all for your patience. We're all doing our best to make the update of the best quality we can get it to be!

  9. The shinies are being made by the devs, so unfortunately there won't be a community effort to make the shinies for gen 8 this time around. While it's true that the previous gen shinies were a community driven project, we hope to save time with this.
  10. No dynamax, but it's true that Gmax mons are being implemented as custom megas -- Jan confirmed this a while back on his tumblr. We're still working out the details for them, but we'll do our utmost to make them similarly balanced like the canon megas!
  11. Sorry, but nope! It doesn't work on Galar Darm. The mon is already broken enough as is, it doesn't need another buff in the form of a crest.
  12. Good news -- Generation 8 main dex sprites are complete! This means all the new mons and the galarian forms have both their front and backsprites finished and are ready for usage. The only thing that's left right now are the Gmax sprites, but these have significantly less priority than the other sprites did. Essentials is a little bit fucky in that it sometimes crashes the game if mons don't have proper sprites (not always, for whatever fucking reason sdhfjskdgfsdbhjsdfksf GOD), so having all the sprites for the base forms available should make testing all the mons a sligthly less crash-y experience! helllllllll yea. anyways have some sprites! here's uhhhhhhhhhh horf? horf. two whole horf. front sprites were originally done by conyjams on deviantart, and were cleaned up and had their backsprites made by me!
  13. Yes! The Gen 8 starters will also be available at the start of the game.
  14. Do you have Patch 12.2 installed? If not, go to the V12 download thread and get the patch from there. It should resolve the error you have.

  16. Please understand that we're doing our best to work on the game! Gen 8 implementation is simply taking a lot of time and is the main reason progression is slow (lots of balancing changes due to the addition of gen 8 mons and some mechanics being implemented are dependent on it), but V13 as a whole has a ton of content -- to the point that V12 seems meager in comparison. Not to mention that most of us also have other obligations (most devs are college/uni students, but some are occupied with work as well), so not everyone can work full time on the game, but even then it's still a voluntary project. It might be a while until V13 comes out, but, well... I can't give out any details, but I personally think that for what you're getting in V13 the wait is going to be worth it. Or well, so I hope! It's a subjective matter after all, buuuuut I personally think that there's a ton of really fucking cool content planned for this version which we're very excited to share with you when V13's ready. Please be patient with us as we chip away at the work we have left to do!
  17. This is a known bug to us but was discovered after patch 2 got released. It's fixed for V13, so in the case you see anyone else run into the same problem, please tell them to revert to an older save before hopping on the train.

  19. Hey hey all! Figured I'd be giving a little update on Gen 8 sprite progression! Not counting the shinies, we're over halfway done with all the sprites -- 62% of them are done, to be exact!! HELLA. We have a vast majority of the front sprites (we're literally only missing like... 10) with a couple still needing some cleanup as some of the sprites we collected were not quite suitable yet for use within essentials. The biggest chunk of work still lies within the backsprites, of which we're still missing plenty... But fortunately, yours truly is planning to make a decent dent in that amount of remaining sprites this week! There's been a bit of stagnation with the sprites -- I'm just as guilty of it -- but it's gotten to a point where I'm just thinking that the sooner Gen 8 implementation is done, the faster we can shift gears and focus on V13 itself. Hopefully this'll let us pick up the pace! For now, have some Nickit and Thievul sprites! The original front sprites were done by KingOfThe-X-Roads, while I cleaned the sprites up and did their backsprites.
  20. Ok so after listening to the video you linked, I know why your video got flagged LOL... The sample you hear first thing in the video you linked is the same one I used for Rejuvenation's intro music, as it's a free sample provided in Mixcraft, which I still used back then. The algorithm probably mistook it for that song! Also honestly if you're in doubt, just turn down the music volume in your computer's volume mixer and make sure to talk over it, that way you'll have less of a risk to get flagged.
  21. I actually haven't gotten around to editing them to match the colors better along with generally blending in better but I'll do so soon! ...Or alternatively, we can opt to not have anything for the base at all, but for consistency's sake i'll look into the former first.
  22. Correct, though you could also say the last one is for the Forest of Time, as they share backgrounds, next to the filename being called BattleBgTime! The old background that is currently in Rejuvenation being used for daytime, evening and nighttime are old backgrounds I made roughly 2-3 years ago, so just to give a little comparison for a before and after... Not only is the new background better in quality overall, the background has become significantly easier to edit for alternate forest fields due to only having a limited color palette and now being fully done in pixel art rather than being a blurry mess. It should save us a lot of time in the future, at the very least! I'm probably going to add a couple of smaller unique details to some of these fields instead of keeping them as just recolors (especially Darchlight!), so look forward to the fully polished backgrounds in V13! :]

  25. Most fun one? Hands down Ryland's fucked up VS portrait from V12. Made that one entirely from scratch and had SO much fun working on it. I don't draw stuff like that very often, but I enjoy drawing creepy stuff from time to time! The least fun? god damn eternatus for the Gen 8 addition in v13, aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
