ITS BEEN TWO MONTHS HI ive been. shoulder deep in fe3h hell and i don't think there's any escape???? so yeah. lots of fe stuff in the spoilers. you have been warned. its a lot of dimitri. also like 80% of these are sketches??? i haven't done a lot of fully rendered stuff lately because of that i've been busy as all FUCK during the summer because of the flower parade so i only really had time to sketch for like two months. also, most of my other free time that i did have went into the animation that's linked as well which ate like fuckin uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh at LEAST 30 hours of my time so that's a thing heugh. anyways enjoy!!! and of course comments are always welcome -

So! I've made a thread like this each year since 2017, and the last one was from March 2018. It's been 1 1/2 year, so it's time to make another one of these! What is your favourite thing about Rejuvenation? This can be anything - from the custom graphics, to the story and it's characters, to the music! Of course it'd be best if you kept it directly related to the game itself -- As a little note, saying "Oh [x] song is good" when referring to remixes made of songs from the mainline pokemon games rather than referring to the custom music made for Rejuv is a little bit backwards. Though, if you like the choices made to play certain music in certain areas/during certain moments, then that's completely fine! Either way, let us know your experience with the game. We'd love to hear it! (as with the fanart thread, it's absolutely fantastic and incredibly motivating to us, the dev team, to see people enjoy the game -- so thank you in advance for leaving a message and for playing!!! <3)

Oh boy! From my first listen, I can surely say it threw me off when it started to sound similar to a classic melody but quickly veered in a different direction. Different is a good word to describe this track. I'll give it some more listening so I can say my full thoughts on it. Speaking of which, I still need to do that with all your music. I've listened to some of your music so far, but life keeps insisting I focus on adulting lately, and I like giving all my focus to a music piece for me to give a solid opinion on it. As for telling you my "expert" thoughts, I think it might be a good idea for me to PM my thoughts as to avoid filling up your profile feed with my rambling. What would you prefer?
(P.S. Am I taking this "telling Zumi what I think" too far and all you really wanted was simple stuff like what my favorites were or which ones I liked and didn't like? I'd prefer to stop myself before I get carried away.)

oh no this is fine!! i actually really appreciate the thorough description, i like hearing what people think! This particular piece actually shares a melodyline with one of the other songs that were already published, you should try to hear if you can find it :^) And it doesn't matter whether it's in public or in dm's, either way's fine!

Seeing people have talked about the music that plays during the battle with Ryland and asking where it's from, learning it's from my fangame, becoming curious about it only to find out i've practically cancelled the thing is.... wild tbh
In a way it makes me a little sad i couldn't have brought out a demo -- ESPECIALLY because of how much time I've put in the soundtrack -- but I just can't seem to get myself to work on a project i've lost passion for. I'll never be able to deliver a product that lives up to my own standards if i'm not driven to work on it, and I know other people will notice too so I just don't wanna do that, yknow?

i was gonna explain the situation myself but two people replied before i could so LOL but yeah, i had my own fangame called pokemon xenogene that ended up cancelled/on indefinite hiatus because i wanted to pursue creating original content as well as being busy as fuck with school at the time and generally having very little motivation to work on xenogene while ALSO doing work for Rejuv, so to avoid getting burnt out i've decided to stop working on it. i felt bad that the music went unused though since that's where the biggest chunk of time has sank into while working on the game, so I gave the rights to Jan to use any of the music he liked in Rejuv instead so they could still find some usage! i do plan to update these songs sometime in the future as i can do better now in terms of mixing and instrumentalization!! but for now these will remain in the game as is uwu

Terajuma. You'll have to do a certain puzzle starting at a dive spot in Aquamarine cave in order to reach the switch you need to press to access the place though, so you'll have to look around a bit!

This thread has now been closed! The thread might be locked, but we'll still go over the remaining questions and answer them later. Thank you guys for your patience and your participation! Hopefully we've been able to satiate some curiosity within you all and give answers to the questions we could actually give details about! We won't be doing another one of these for a while, maybe another one after V14 or something, but nothing's set in stone -- all we know is that we'd rather have a significant amount of new content out before doing another one of these. Can you please quit worrying about whether there's romance in the game or not? Like legit, at this point this song and dance is getting genuinely old and it's becoming increasingly tiresome to continuously have to debunk these assumptions. The reason you're not getting romance routes is because Jan doesn't feel comfortable writing them as he doesn't like harem-y game types and mechanics. I've said it before -- Rejuvenation is not a dating sim and never was gonna be one, so please stop assuming that it was. That's literally all there is to it, nothing more. (btw the Ren/Aelita speculation is fine, but this doesn't necessarily mean that based on their interactions there's romantic tension between the two, keep this in mind)
