I'M SO SORRY I'VE BEEN NEGLECTING UPDATING THIS POST FOR SO LONG BUT IT'S FINALLY BACK UP TO DATE please don't kill me i've been a very busy person ok ;; in any case all of the notes made by y'all have been integrated into the OP so now you should be able to track this list and have accurate information. If anything is off post it below and I'll actually make an effort to update it as soon as I possibly can and... Not repeat the same mistake of ignoring this topic for 4 months. Oops.

Even if it is the case that it gets taken down, do take in account that the developers took a great risk with the game in the first place, as it's a ROM hack, and the fact that it's a ROM in the first place is already illegal, not to mention that it's a hack. It's simply a legal matter, and while fangames are in a very grey area, ROM hacks are actually in a much more dark zone. It's a risk everyone person who decides to make a fangame or fan hack has to accept that they're taking it, and if it happens then it shouldn't be all too surprising. It's understandable that fans and supporters of a fangame would get upset about it, but generally speaking it's just something that can't absolutely be avoided unless the person who makes the fangames holds some kind of copyright over the brand that they're working with. In this case, none of the people who have fangames have some rights over the copyright of Pokémon, and that's where that risk comes in play again.

I personally failed twice (first because I reversed on a yellow light because I freaked out so instant fail and second because I went into a no entry area because I thought I would get directions from the instructor not to go there, I had common sense here) and then passed on my third very easily. We know you will learn and be ready for the next time and don't get discouraged.

Four! Ame, Jan, Koyo and I are in charge of that. Ame does most of the front sprite cleanups and quality control, while Jan, Koyo and I do the backsprites.

Not all of the sprites used on showdown are of good enough quality, not to mention that due to Ame having set up a patreon, they're going to be extremely iffy about it since Ame would technically be earning money off their sprites, and they've been iffy about it before with paypal and the rupee system on the old site as well, or at least that's what I've understood. Ame is free to correct me on this, of course. And not to mention that even though Showdown has sprites for the new mons, there's usually no backsprites available, so we'd have to make those regardless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ However, this is basically why we have to use other sprites than the one provided by showdown. It's okay tho! Things are progressing smoothly and it shouldn't take too long until the graphical part is done since we're working on it with multiple people.

They're not publicly distributed, but you can ask around if someone has the PBS files for V8 who can give them to you.

Just popping in real quick, but I know why this is happening. They changed a part of the script for V16 essentials, so now you need to put all of the cries in a separate folder called "Cries" in the SE folder. I got stuck with this issue myself for a while as well, but making the folder solved the problem, so you can try that, as it'll probably fix it :]
