    Ok, I just beat Shade yesterday so I'm fresh on giving you advice. I had a heck amount of trouble with Gengar and Rotom especially. Everyone else, not so much. His team is now different in episode 17! I'll put his team in this spoiler tag in case you want to challenge yourself by not knowing what his team is in advance.

    What the heck. I faced some difficulty with Shade but then in one of the many battles that I tried, I swept his team so easy! @DreamblitzX I did it! Your advice did help me.

    @seki108 Meiling kept dancing the Divine Dance of the Dragons and swept a huge chunk of Shade's team!

      D.Dance sweeps are nuts when they work. when you can use items to heal up and clear status while you set up, it pretty much feels like cheating XD

    I'm more interested to know what Josh Peck thinks about this. <3 @Youmu9 As much as I would love a free Ferrari, I don't think that'll be happening anytime soon. A lot of people could lose jobs and money. @Eviora I wish you didn't feel said trauma.

    All I'll say to you is that you can find that guy after a while when you obtain 14 badges in Reborn City. Giving you too much detail is too spoilery for my taste.

    Ralts has been pushed back into being available later in the game. According to some, having Gardevoir this early in the game is "OP." Also, side note: It's "wants to be the best" not "want's to be the best."

    I need help beating Shade. Any great advice/specific Pokemon excellent for this battle? Part of the problem is that Gengar and esp. Rotom keep outspeeding us.

      Magneton may also help. Having normal types with dark type moves like bite or crunch could do the work also.

      Oh! I think you can get murkrow at that point in the game, and if you can evolve it, Honchkrow should be a wrecking ball, especially if you get sucker punch on it for the fast ones.

      You can get Murkrow after doing the Aqua Gang events, but the Magma Gang leader has a Ninetales in the mid 40s so it's pretty hard to get it before Shade (probably doable, but I was monoflying in my most recent run so I had to wait).

      Basically her team gets overshadowed by her aegislash.

      I ran a flying mono and specs charizard nearly swept her. Aegislash and Klefki were the exceptions, but I had archeops/honchkrow for those.

      In my first try I was swept by her A-Sandslash and in my second try I set up some spikes with Skarmory and tried to sweep back with nature power Lilligant but her Excadrill immediately stopped the sweep. It was ok anyways because the rest of my main team are Heracross, Blaziken, Araquanid and Porygon-Z, so no effortless Lilligant sweep but not too much trouble either. I have to admit that her team does a great job at stopping sweeps with Klefki, Excadrill and Aegislash.

    Venusaur is nicknamed Astara (Aster(shiny venusaur in Reborn reminds me of an aster flower) + Tuatara(the reptile))

    Togetic is nicknamed Seryllis (Serene + Amaryllis(Togekiss reminds me an amaryllis flower))

     

    What are some great nicknames for Tyrunt? If you can't think of nicknames, that's okay. What are some words that relate to/describe Tyrantrum?

    Why must a 12 year old come up with such an annoying gym puzzle? Even Bugsy's gym was a breeze to go through. Couldn't Shelly have made her gym puzzle a little less difficult? Well, thank goodness someone made a walkthrough for this gym. xD

    Tyrunt used Ice Fang on Taka's Chatot, however, Ice Fang only did normal damage, not super effective damage. Is this a bug or is something else going on? The field was normal.

      @DreamblitzX Don't be sorry! I like long status replies, they make it more fun and merrier. ^__^

      @Jess Kind of. Just Togepi(Got her from Seki) and Tyrunt(reborn breeding club event) since I wanted them earlier in the game. Yeah, Tyrunt and Cranidos have it pretty rough with short arms. :( Then there's the epic Gible I got from Wonder Trade. Gabite has saved me quite a few times now xD. And while I was looking for a good natured good IVs chlorophyll Bulbasaur when I was selecting a starter, I came across a purple Bulbasaur with chlorophyll! I also have Eevee that Seki graciously donated to me as a bonus with Togepi, and Eevee will one day be Glaceon. But do note that Garchomp and Glaceon are part of my rotation team. The real team is Venusaur, Chandelier, Togekiss, Wishiwashi, Tyrantrum. and Silvally, which you'll see if you have a look at my signature.
