How do you activate this? Do you need a helix fossil?
-
Skuntank, Primeape, Swoobat Replaced by Scrafty, Dragalge, and Eelektross
-
Impressive! Though why Blaze Kick? Fire is super effective on Ice, Steel, Grass, and Bug, the former two of which Fighting already nails and the latter two aren't particularly worrisome to Lucario due to its typing. Would've thought Crunch would give better coverage, or Extremespeed if you want a stronger priority when Bullet Punch doesn't get the super effective hit.
-
Ahhh true, good point. Rolling with Discharge then! Agility is also handy, but the paralysis I find to be more useful. Next up: Azumarill! What set is suggested? Obviously Waterfall and Play Rough are essential, but what else? How viable is Belly Drum?
-
I recently trained a Zoroark and it is a special attacking beast, with a moveset like Nasty Plot, Night Daze/Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, and some other move (Grass Knot comes to mind), it hits quite hard. Why do you want to keep vespiquen?
-
Especially because Dragon Rage ripped things apart in the early game
-
Really? Why do you say that? The way I saw it, Dark Pulse and Tri Attack already have pretty good coverage, and Discharge will rarely outdamage Tri-Attack if you run adaptability The paralysis is helpful though
-
Got myself an Up-Grade and Dubious Disc so we're ready to roll woohoo! What would people recommend for the Porygon-Z set? I was thinking: Tri-Attack Dark Pulse Nasty Plot Discharge/Recover

@sinikuro: I wish I could do tyrantrum! Can't find a stupid helix fossil I actually started trying out Lapras, Freeze Dry is OP as hell haha. Nidoking is a possibility, don't really want to have to venture back into that godforsaken wasteland again (got lost in there too many times looking for gastly/beldum/mudkip etc.) (To clarify, I did start out in E14, so I do have gastly et al) @Nanami: that's a good point! haven't really done much bug types yet. in rejuvenation I have a butterfree w/ Quiver dance, so handy Yanmega seems interesting, will give that a look. @Vlado: that seems to be the common suggestion here (at least, 2/4 posts mentioned it). @blasterman: Can't get zard, already have "tongue scarf" (presumably greninja you mean? or are you actually talking about lickilicky or something) @Nova: I actually started out in E14 and got the azurill so no egg for me That does remind me to try out Azumarill though! Solosis sounds cool as well Porygon and Azumarill seem to be most likely for next on my list. Where do I get an Upgrade & Dubious Disc?
-
Been training a bunch of 'mons in my PC, now I'm trying to find new ones that I wouldn't have originally thought of. So far I have done: Greninja, Eelektross, Golurk, Arcanine, Scrafty, Dragalge, Primeape, Skuntank, Chandelure, Snorlax, Bouffalant, Braviary, Houndoom, Zoroark, Eevolutions minus Flareon (lost cause), Delphox, Chesnaught, Typhlosion, Avalugg, Swoobat, Mamoswine, Darmanitan Any and all (reasonable) suggestions welcome

Has anyone found it?
-
Ah yea, shortly after posting I found Iron Tail, but I've yet to find Signal Beam
-
Are you sure Signal Beam and Iron Tail are tutor moves? I went to both 7th Street and the Circus and couldn't find either.
-
did not know Hawlucha was available Definitely recommend

Scrafty and Conkeldurr are two good options, with Scraggy being available in the Slums (have to fight some Pangoro) and Timburr being a prize in the Agate Circus And Lucario's an obvious suggestion, with a Riolu egg available via Event. Others include: Toxicroak (Corey's croagunk in that mountain by Shade's gym, celestine I think?) Chesnaught (chespin egg available via 7th street event) Pangoro (pancham are found in the wild in the same area as Scraggy). Mienshao (mienfoo in route 4 I think) Primeape (mankey in the slums, and then mankey/primeape in the aventurine woods) Hariyama (Makuhita in the Slums early on) Gallade (Ralts obtainable via event) Hitmonchan/Hitmontop/Hitmonlee (Tyrogue available via trade, route 1 I think) Heracross (South Aventurine, need lots of honey, heracronite also available !!) Medicham (Meditite available via trade, Apophyll I think) I personally use a Scrafty with Dragon Dance. With it's natural bulk (base 115 on both defenses) it can set up and sweep. Is there any sort of coverage that you need? Or just fighting in general, since a lot of these guys ^ have handy secondary typings (for instance Chesnaught being the only grass/fighting since Breloom isn't available, Heracross being bug/fighting, Toxicroak poison/fighting, and Scrafty dark/fighting)
-
Is the Dig TM available in-game, or would you have to use the E12 breeding method?
-
Sorry to gravedig, but I had a few questions about these movesets: how does one get Iron Tail and/or Dig on Leafeon? Signal beam on Vaporeon?
-
Iron Fist is only beneficial to Hammer Arm and Shadow Punch, the former of which has imperfect accuracy (and lowers speed) and the latter has pretty low base power (108 after STAB?). I personally use No Guard Golurk with Earthquake/Heavy Slam/Phantom Force/Dynamic Punch, quite effective. Other suggestions: Delete Embargo on Gothitelle and give it Grass Knot via TM. Delete Cut and Torment, you can move tutor Dragon Pulse on Noivern (Dragon STAB definitely needed), and teach it Flamethrower via TM. Similarly with Blaziken, you can move tutor High Jump Kick (not super useful for Radomus, but later yes) and Flare Blitz (neutral Flare Blitz hits harder than Super effective Shadow Claw).
-
Yea you also need Episode 12 to get Rock slide - I'd argue it's worth it, rock slide covers many of Sceptile's weaknesses (Flying, Fire, Ice, Bug) except Poison. Rock Tomb is a (much weaker) alternative. Oh shoot, didn't realize Energy Ball got amped in Gen 6 (from 80 to 90 base power). It's personal preference: Energy ball is stronger, but Giga Drain (75 base power) heals you. You could opt for like a mixed set, not sure how well it would work. Something like: Leaf Storm Brick Break/Hidden Power Fire (steel coverage) Filler physical move (Rock Tomb hits fire types, X-Scissor is overall pretty strong, and then there's like Crunch and Acrobatics) Energy Ball/Giga Drain/Leaf Blade Overall Leaf Storm is definitely a must, as it hits HARD on anything that doesn't resist it.
-
Don't evolve it until at least level 21, as it learns Giga Drain then. Pretty handy special STAB. Leaf Storm is it's strongest attack, very powerful but has the same drawback as Overheat. Hidden Power is probably recommended for coverage. Alternatively, you can go physical. Leaf Blade is a great move, and if you breed you can get Swords Dance and Rock Slide. So the final set could be like Leaf Blade, Swords Dance, Rock Slide/X-Scissor, Brick Break
-
Yea how the heck did you get a Sharpedo with Earthquake?
-
Talk to everyone you see Edit: Ninja'd
-
Suggestions? Obviously Shadow Ball is one, maybe Destiny Bond/Hypnosis I know there was an earlier topic on this from around a year ago, but I wasn't sure if it was still applicable because apparently moves that the pokemon learns by TM (i.e. sludge bomb, thunderbolt) can no longer be obtained via breeding?
-
Wait how did people end up fighting with Julia?
