Remember the house where you find the key to the first gate? You can break through the wall there.

I'm at the first fight against Marianette in Chrysalis Manor after all the trials. This is the first time I played Reju until this point so I had no idea what's coming and my team is totally unprepared for a challenge like this. I'm playing Normal Difficulity. 1) I don't have any fighting type moves. And since this is a point of no return I have no way to get some. 2) Her Multipulse move completely screws all my attempts to use pokemon she wouldn't be able to hit too hard. All stall strategies are out of the window because whenever she doesn't have anything good to use she goes for Multipulse and usually deals a lot of damage that way. 3) Finally I have no way whatsoever to deal with her Bewear. First it's bulky as hell and I have nothing good to use against it. Second it has both Rock Slide and Earthquake?! This early in the game on a pokemon with 125 base attack it's insane - none of my pokemon can survive a hit from this thing. My current team is: Leavanny (34) - she is usually quite helpful when she gets to revenge kill with Fell Stinger. Here however she has way too many weaknesses so is quickly defeated with some random Multipulse. Electrode (33) - pretty much the same problem, can't get a buff from Charge Beam before falling to Multipulse. Fletchinder (34) - the only good move it has at this point is Flame Charge which is too weak against Bewear. Popplio (31) - unevolved because I want to get him to 36 to get early Moonblast. Disarming Voice is water-type because of Liquid Voice ability so no fairy move for Bewear yet. Salazzle (33) - never learned Flame Burst or Toxic because of a bug so the only known Fire move is a weak Ember which reduce Bewear to half HP but no further. Without a good move it's a sitting duck. Lycanroc (31) - fast Rock type is fun to play but once again he can't survive more than one Multipulse. Reserve: Swablu (33) - too weak to do anything, training for a future. All of my other pokemon are low level, many of them Shadow type. Any advice what I can do? This fight feels pretty impossible. Plus I can't go to Mr. Luck to lower the difficulity. (Well technically I can but that's only because of a bug, the path is supposed to be blocked at this point - so I don't want to do that.)

Another thing. When I'm with Marianette looking for the three souls we can leave the mansion. Story-wise I expeced it to be locked? Marianette follows me anywhere so I took her to Sheridan Village. There I talked to her and the game crashed with this: Script 'Interpreter' line 517: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method 'unlock' for nil:NilClass The known bugs mention ' Talking to Maria after saving Luca can sometimes crash the game. ' - it might be the same bug but I'm not sure - I didn't save Luka yet after all.

I see. Sorry, I'll make sure to check the list the next time.

Another bug, this time in a battle. My Electrode was about to be hit with opponent's Future Sight attack and the game threw this error. Not sure if it's relevant but I had active Light Screen at the time. --------------------------- Pokemon Rejuvenation --------------------------- Exception: NoMethodError Message: undefined method `>=' for nil:NilClass PokeBattle_Move:3593:in `pbReduceHPDamage' PokeBattle_Battle:5011:in `__clauses__pbEndOfRoundPhase' PokeBattle_Battle:4991:in `each' PokeBattle_Battle:4991:in `__clauses__pbEndOfRoundPhase' PokeBattle_Clauses:42:in `pbEndOfRoundPhase' PokeBattle_Battle:4127:in `pbStartBattleCore' PokeBattle_Battle:4126:in `logonerr' PokeBattle_Battle:4126:in `pbStartBattleCore' PokeBattle_Battle:4110:in `loop' PokeBattle_Battle:4131:in `pbStartBattleCore' ---------------------------

Why do you make it sound like a feature? This is clearly now how it should work, regardless that it currently does. Anyway another two bugs: 1) When a Shadow pokemon is purified it gains some levels but does not learn the moves is should have learned at the leveles between. I just purified lvl20 Salandite, it got to lvl 32 and learned Nasty Plot. However Double Slap (level 21), Flame Burst (level 24) and Toxic (level 29) were all skipped. This is not how it worked in Colosseum and XD where shadow pokes were first introduced. 2) Story-wise shadow pokemon purification should only be available in Sheridan after clearing Carotos Mountain. It is however available much earlier in Gearen City in Dr. Jenkel's Lab (the right-most tube which is shorter than the others is a purification machine).

When going with Aelita through Carotos Mountain we encountered a Nosepass. Just once at the end so I wanted to catch it. There are two bugs that prevented me from doing so: 1) When I selected a pokeball to through I could not select a target - the pokeball was thrown at Sandshrew automatically, I could not whrow it at the Nosepass. 2) Well I thought I would just catch both then. Unfortunately the battle ended when the Sandshrew was caught despite the Nosepass being still at full HP. Next there is an AI issue. When battling Keta, his Machoke kept using Counter against my Voltorb like 5 times in a row. He never used anything else, just Counter or Super Potion. This sounds buggy considering that Voltorb didn't even have any physical attacks. The Super Potions actually helped me because Voltorb was able to use more Charge Beams.

The Girl in Petal Salon first sends me to Aqua building second floor, I talk to a woman there, report back. Next she sends me to Velvet building 3rd floor - but I can't find the client there. Is this a bug or did I miss something? Never mind I somehow went into Violet building instead of Velvet building. Please delete this.

What's the deal with the weather? Is it just me or is it even more broken in HC than in Reborn E16? Do you expect it to get better in E17 HC or is it just broken forever? Also can anyone explain the party system to me please? I'm supposed to get more people eventually right? Well for now I only got Fero, not sure where/when am I supposed to find others. Also I don't quite undestand how am I supposed to keep the party members near the level cap. Even in Hardcore I don't get enough EXP to keep training or more whole teams. Fero is already hopelessly underleveled (by around 20 levels) with no way for him to catch up. What was the point in adding this system and how am I supposed to use it?

So, this version has Z-moves implemented? Does it have Gen 7 pokes and other mechanics as well?

You need an item called Warehouse Key. It is in the house in Obsidia Park (old Reborn city).

reborn Totally surprised after a long trip from Agate Circus
enu replied to dnaeeeutd's topic in Reborn City
Actually I don't think there will be a TM store. TMs have unlimited uses so you only need to find each TM once in the game. It's more exciting to find them in appropriate locations rather than simply buy them. There are however move tutors in several different places in the city. -
Most of the steel types are already in the game. Afaik all except legendaries, Scizor, Honeedge and Ferroseed. Look here to search for specific mons: http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/16407-pokémon-location-guide-v3-episode-16/ As for waitng time to E17 Ame said she really doesn't want it to be that long this time. Her supporters on patreon get some more details about what she is working on at the moment - she writes daily posts (although not all of them are related to reborn) and there are occasional streams for the supporters.

I don't know about guide but here is a list. It does not contain specific places to start but it is probably more satisfying to find them yourself anyway.
-
Because they never lived up to their reputation for me.
-
Well considering all my Reborn playthroughs I really like Vaporeon, Espeon, Sylveon, Froslass, Heracross, Florges and Donphan. Probably nothing surprising. My hatelist might raise some eyebrows but whatever. Because of Reborn I hate Ampharos, Greninja and Jynx.
-
Can you elaborate? Hyposis always had only 60% accuracy except Diamond and Pearl. I don't see any recent nerf. Confusion was long overdue to get nerfed.
-
Could be. But who is the other one? There are two girls disappearing in the vision.
-
What confuses me the most though is the fifth vision in the old power plant. The one you see just before battling Rotom. Does anyone know who the characters are? I don't remember seeing them elsewhere in the game.

Yeah Corey does have quite a few of tricks up his sleave. I think I read somewhere he is meant to be a bit harder than normal gym leader in the mist field because you kind of pissed him off by revealing his secret. However I never found him particularly difficult. All you need against him are good counter pokemon. Munsharna and Meowstic are both very good psychic types for this part of the game and are very helpful against Corey. Another good counter is Donphan with Magnitude. These three you probably expected as they're the obvious and usual choices against Corey. Lastly there is Sudowoodo who is probably the best counter against his Crobat - accidently found that out in my Reborn Hardcore run. The Crobat felt like just another annoying but harmless bat.

Yeah I wanted to try some of the pokes from weather-based events this time. Also I like it when Kiki and Noel have some weather effect for their battle to make it a bit unusual. Sandile is a good egg. I never used it in Reborn yet. I'll look into the guide where it can be obtained. Pretty sure he means Fiore Mansion at Celestinine Cascade. Oh yeah. I remember him being more difficult than Terra herself on my first playthrough.
-
What mystery egg did you get? I got an Omanyte which is pretty useless yet. I might try a rain team later on though. Against Serra maybe? Dunno when that might happen though. I somehow don't want to play Hardcore with the broken weather system. In regular reborn I also don't remember any gym leader to be a real wall for me. The only exception was Ciel on my very first playthrough. She crushed me really good. On my other playthrough she wasn't too difficult but I think I never managed to beat her without losing to her first - but I was very very close with my eeveelutions, only lost because Glaceon didn't know Ice Shard to finish her ace. I should have made some statistics which Gym leader was easy and which was difficult. Oh also Kiki was always quite good against me. On the other hand Samson is almost always a pushover. I think Kiki has far better coverage of her weaknesses. Samson is extremely weak against psychic types.
-
So far Hardcore Taka in Beryl and Hardcore Shelly. But I've yet to battle Hardcore Shade so it's likely to change. From normal Reborn I think Skydancer Ciel is the one who gives me some trouble on every single playthrough.
-
Yes it is and it will also come with Sun/Moon pokemon. http://www.rebornevo.com/index.php?/pr/development/ @S.paul is a Greninja!
