Ahh...the slippery slope of the ethics of Pokemon Fan games... Well, from a business standpoint, I can see why Nintendo (I will be talking about Pokemon specifically since there are companies that encourage fan game making) is defensive about people making fan games. After all, in their eyes people are probably saying, "Why should I play a new, expensive Pokemon game when I can get a game with an engaging storyline for free?" And with Social Media like Twitter, Instagram, Myspace, and Facebook it has become easy to find these games. From an outlookers/customers standpoint, I honestly think these fangames will do more good than harm for Pokemon, especially if they play their cards right. Think about it. You pretty much have people who are creating storylines and designing games for free. Which means you have a pool of people who you can hire to make games like this. And I would bet some of them wouldn't mind these games actually being turned into mainstream games on the Nintendo platform like Undertale was (maybe, don't quote me on that). There are many other things to consider, like competition (though fan games are free or because they are free) and stuff like that...honestly, if Pokemon was to make a Pokemon RPG maker for the Switch or a future platform, they would make a lot of money off of that. Maybe that could be a solution. Just a thought.

@PokeFailure *Insert One Does Not Simply Get Gud In Pokemon Reborn Meme Here* XD So there are some things that I don't know about this player, but he seems like a shofu (level up one pokemon and sweep trainers) type lol. Of course you cant do that in this game. The level caps itself stop that. From the sounds of it, it seems like he is the type who is hyper offensive (or at least that's what it seems like from the post). Let him know that status moves are his friend in this game. Burn attacking Pokemon, Paralyze fast sweepers, and put tanks to sleep. Moves like Leech seed will also be very useful. Also, if you have terrain changing moves, use them if it can cripple the gym leader you are up against. Since this is his first time playing, let him read the field effects and pulse dex data. He doesn't need to memorize everything, but there may be things there that he can learn and utilize for himself. Finally, there is a TM that is useful in every battlefield in Reborn that you get very early: Nature Power. It utilizes the field effect automatically, getting a boost in power or boosting your Pokemon exponentially. A very underused and underappreciated move imo. That's all I got for now without knowing more about his play style. Let him know that what he is essentially doing is playing a Pokemon game and putting it on the highest level of difficulty. And seeing that he jumped into it when the last game he played was gen 5...kudos to him for getting as far as he did. Even some hardcore players cant stand this game lol. And if he ever gets frustrated, let him watch some LPs. Either it will help with strategies or (if he likes watching people suffer, like me :]) it will give him a good laugh.

I would think it would be fine...but I'm not sure. There may be a big pause because there have been ALOT of updates including an increase in Pokemon, soundtracks, etc. ...I'll leave it to a mod to answer this.

I feel you bro. I've been single for almost all of my life (with my first gf being a long distance relationship that did not last...c'mon. Long distance as a first relationship? lol) I think of myself as a lone wolf at times. There are times where half of me envies being at having a relationship, but the other half thinks of it as too stressful. Or maybe that's just me being lazy. Hell if I know (lol). I wonder if I should attend one of those gaming or anime conventions. Not saying that I will definitely get a girlfriend there, but maybe at least interact with people with similar interests and build relationships.
