I can understand your view on Sudowoodo, but I have looked at your list and you gave Hariyama an A+ ranking. I love Hariyama, but it is slow and tends to get killed by specialists. You also give Magnezone an A+, even though it relies on Sturdy and suffers from a 4x weakness to common ground attacks, and weakness to fire and fighting, and is slow. These two are examples of gimmicky pokemon that you gave A+ ranks to, and I feel if they deserve it, Sudowoodo should be included as well. I would also boost Scrafty to A+ or even S (comperable to Blaziken, just slower but better typing and bulk), as all you need are Dragon Dance for a 1 turn set up, after which you spam HJK or Crunch as the need may be. Espurr-Meowstic: C Availability: 0 badges Movepool: OK Comments: Espurr is a great help against Julia, and evolved Meowstic gives you an early game stat boost for Florina and possibly PULSE Tangrowth. Unfortunately, most of the benefits stop there. As we approach and get past Corey, Meowstic's damage output just can't keep up, whether it's Competitive Female Meowstic or Prankster Male Meowstic. Prankster Meowstic is definitely worth keeping on rotation, however, as priority walls can be put into your team anytime it's needed, and it dies quick enough that your team maintains momentum and reaps the full use of 7 turns of a wall. Competitive Female Meowstic ends up getting abandoned when it's 76/76/81 bulk is unable to survive.

Fixing it up (A Pokemon Reborn Hardcore Playthrough)
Dragon116 replied to Commander's topic in Team Showcase
When are we going to see the revamped versions of these fights? I want to see you take those new fights on too! -
Bonsly-Sudowoodo : A+ Availability: 1 badge Movepool: Fantastic Comments: This pokemon, while commonly dismissed, is the single best toolbox pokemon. Even with slow speed, Sudowoodo redeems itself over and over again with a moveset of Rock Tomb, Stone Edge/Rock Slide, Sucker Punch, and Counter. What truly makes this the ultimate go-to is its fantastic Sturdy ability. Provided it doesn't get damaged with entry hazards (which rarely occur in Reborn), Bullet Seed, or face Mold Breaker, it guarantees to get at least 1 attack off, usually 2 with Sucker Punch. Rock Tomb allows you to drop your opponent down a speed tier, giving the rest of your team some relief. Counter gives you immediate destruction against any super effective physical attacker (looking at you Garchomp). Stone Edge is a stronger attack, but is single target and has worse accuracy than Rock Slide, so it's personal preference which one you use as your main STAB. Equip a Hard Stone, and the damage output of Sudowoodo goes even higher. Shroomish-Breloom: B+ Availability: 2 Movepool: Fantastic (with breeding), Pretty Good (without breeding) Comments: Breloom sits at an awkward 70 base speed, requiring investment in Jolly nature and Speed EVs to make up for its frailness. Provided you take the time to breed as well, Breloom has access to the devestating combination of Spore and Focus Punch. If not, then Technician boosted Force Palm does well enough. Mach Punch becomes a base 60 power priority STAB, meaning it's able to KO or severely dent things weak to fighting. Seed Bomb gives a solid physical Grass STAB, also enabling Breloom to hit SE on 7 types. Unfortunately it's weak to 6 common types, so be prepared for this thing to kill or be killed.

That's a huge rotation box. Good work on Charlotte! I figured Cyril would be the MVP but obviously your whole team put in effort. I don't think anyone ruled the fight.

Totally didn't see that part. My apologies.

M.Tytar is fine as long as it's the only 4x weakness on the team. I think replacing Sableye with Zororoak would be a good move.

Tyrogue is too OP, since it evolves at 20 into Hitmonlee (potentially), which is far and away better than most fighting types. Even putting in a Hitmontop would allow people to breed a Tyrogue and then evolve it into Hitmonlee. Also, in regards to No Guard Machamp, Serra is capable of critting much more frequently on that field, regardless of whether the evasive boosts are ignored in battle. Machamp isn't known as being the sturdiest fighting type, and Serra's team carries fighting checks with Psychic and Flying moves.

Etesian was just offering options. Your first paragraph in response to him already sets up the rest of your replies as rude. I can understand you just wanted to show off your team (and I'm sure Etesian would understand that as well), so all you had to do was simply say that. Attacking people when they're offering help only discourages them from helping anyone else. In regards to trading, I think kaiMaxwell meant in-game trades, like an NPC requests a luvdisc for a darumaka. But yes, the reborn trading thread is definitely an option. You could even request some of those E12 options that Etesian suggested. I'm sure someone has them or is capable of obtaining them.

Woo I am recognized =D Ya, Sudowoodo will always be on my teams from now on, so long as it's able to get the full Sturdy/Counter/Sucker Punch/Rock Tomb/Stone Edge treatment. Also, good plan using stealth rocks on Corey, it really helps against Crobat.

"Cyril VS Volcarona was express, Head smash litteraly crushed the pokemon. The boy is sending Yanmega, i answer with Junior. Junior use a normal gem boosted Fake out, triggering Unburden. He then uses Blaze kick severely lowering Yanmega HP, Yanmega uses Air slash, making Junior faint, but fainted because of life Orb." Again proving why I feel Volcarona is weaker than Yanmega. Thank you Hiroki. Why did you flamethrower Bisharp? It's a Dark/Steel, 4x weak to fighting! Same with M.Tytar, but you used Close Combat on it like a pro. I'm also surprised you used Megahorn over Close Combat on Umbreon. They're the same power, both are STABs, both super effective, but CC has 100 acc while Megahorn only has 85. Risky risky. Commander, I think Greninja for Bisharp would be a good swap. Or Zoraroak to trip people up, and boost Luna's mystic theme.

I could agree with moving Makuhita until near Corey, simply because 144 HP/120 Atk of Hariyama is absurd for the 2nd gym. However, the only other options in the slums are Mankey (which can't evolve until obtaining the 2nd badge without passing level cap) and Pancham (same as Mankey), both of which are too weak to stand up to Flobot. I would suggest replacing Makuhita with Machop, since we don't get a link stone until post Shelly (Machamp is still somewhat worse than Hariyama). All the other fighting types are spaced out well.

Fixing it up (A Pokemon Reborn Hardcore Playthrough)
Dragon116 replied to Commander's topic in Team Showcase
Fern already has Mega Scizor, no sense in having Bennett use it too. Also, I have never used Volcarona, so I can't claim it is or isn't. I have, however, watched Yanmega pose a significant threat to every team that comes in contact with it, be it against Shelly or Bennett. Shelly constantly went up against Electric types with her Yanmega during the Orphanage, and it would take 4-5 hits before it went down, usually killing at least 2 in the process. I have seen Volcarona on Charlotte and Bennett's teams, and it generally sucks. I've never been threatened by it as it's checked easily by water, rock, and flying, which I have at least one of on any given team. -
I would like to debate those rankings. 1st Gen would be cake. Charmeleon's Dragon Rage will sweep Julia, its fire moves will thrash Flobot, You get Arcanine for Shade, Blastoise is nothing to sneeze at either. Gen 6 seems like it would be tough because there's such a small selection, but Eaglesby is doing well on theirs.

Pre Pulse-Abra, 18 rotation Pokemon and can't seem to find synergy
Dragon116 replied to Bigodes's topic in Team Showcase
In general for PULSE Abra, you need to wait until it Hyper Beams, then use that one turn of down time to paralyze or put it to sleep, or set up Light Screen. I think Light Screen + Vanilluxe Mirror Coat should be enough to beat it. In my first run, I had Camerupt use Yawn, swapped him out for another foddermon, and then switched it back in and Lava Plume'd it to death. -
Actually, they played the original reborn, but never finished it.

Fixing it up (A Pokemon Reborn Hardcore Playthrough)
Dragon116 replied to Commander's topic in Team Showcase
Bennett's team is great, other than that Butterfree. People dismiss Venomoth as weak, but as Cain has shown, Venomoth is dangerous. Heracross is solid, only weak to Flying mainly, otherwise it survives and hammers out serious damage. Mega Hera sucks imo, so it's better you did move to another bug mega. Yanmega is doubled because of Shelly, but it's seriously the best non-mega bug. Escalliver would be awesome too, but it's slow and weak to special which is what most Fire types are. Scizor beats it in that role, and Yanmega trumps Scizor with Speed Boost and a great movepool. Throw a Sash on Yanmega and it will sweep for days. Throw a Sash on Scizor and it will still die in 2 hits. -
You gotta love how G.G. is the only pokemon left, and still manages to sweep your field with one attack. That's what I call being an MVP.

How's the difficulty with an EV trained team?
Dragon116 replied to Ronan Erudon's topic in Reborn City
I would say EV training for regular reborn is not necessary. Well, except speed ev training for Ciel, unless you have some other method for stopping that Archeops. -
In your opinion, what is the hardest battle in reborn (yet)
Dragon116 replied to Nivircity's topic in Reborn City
For regular reborn, my first run I got totally walled against Kiki. Hitmonlee would constantly wreck my poor Hariyama, which was the only thing on my team that could damage her substantially. My second run went much, much smoother, but Corey would take the cake. He's always a bane for me in any run I do. For hardcore, first Taka fight was absurdly tough. Blake is a close second. Luna also gets honorable mention for that tanky team what was able to wreck me in one or two shots. -
What Pokemon can't you get now that you can get before?
Dragon116 replied to Avarice's topic in Reborn City
Wait, what? I never saw a Drillbur at Agate Circus. I know there's a Turtwig at the Dive puzzle. -
"Thanks, I'll go better myself now - with this TV" - That TV is slightly larger than your character. How the fuck do you manage to lift it. I bet the magic boat rubbed off on you. "I mean anytime a teacher asks you that it's usually a "No there's more" deal going" - But that's not all! You'll also receive this other twerp's lunch money! That's two for the price of one painful lecture! "I mean god damn I almost feel sorry for you at this stage Victoria" - First, you use "I mean" frequently. Use a thesaurus. Second, this is probably why Kiki sent her to start over with Ame in the first place. I agree with Breezy, that newspaper article is classic. BTW, i assume E16 has come out in your world, since the date is 20XX. This was indeed an action packed adventure. Vicky declared her love, Cain was reported stupid, and E16 came out.
